Because he has been handling money and the bowls/wax paper used for the fries. I don't usually say anything and let it go cause I get the kids combo, but today I was gonna be served in these. He touched like 10 different bills and several coins and did not wash his hands. He still didn't when I asked and instead put gloves on. i went here to order a mega fries but it took 30min just for that order. this placed changed a lot... a place where the employees has no work ethic... i always go here before now i came back and employees changed. service is so slow and they dont care if customers wait for so long. saw one employee just standing and doing nothing but pass around orders to other employee instead of taking care of the order. Another employee who took care of our oder spilled a lot of fries and didnt even apologize, just gave us the order. We usually go to the mall and get our Potato Corner loopy fries. Today was more frustrating than the other days and their service is getting worse. I did not mind the long wait but what bothers me is their staff behind the registry with their gloves on and using the same gloves when they are touching your food or setting the liners and touching the bottom of the liner for the fries and same gloves when they are sweeping. IS THE MANAGEMENT STINGY ON GLOVES? And what is more irritating today was the guy kept touching his mask and face every 5 seconds (no Exaggeration) then touching everything. So, I whispered to the skinny petite gal about my concerns and if she can just kindly be the one to mix my fries since I did not see her behind the registry yet. Expecting a RECOVERY SERVICE but no, what she did she gave me a SLOPPY loopy fry which looked messy, and almost half of the fries were hanging outside the container, and it was not mixed well because I saw her not shaking but flipped it twice, totally not shaking at all AND STINGY ON THE FLAVOR POWDER TOO. I spent $27 for 2 giga sloppy loopy fries w/ regular and a large drink. And on top of that she gave me less fries than usual and 1/4 of it was just regular straight fries. That's what I get for extending my concern nicely. I did not bother complaining because it will just make it worse. I told myself, never to buy from Northridge branch and will just go to Topanga branch. I heard that they have bad management, and their staff were quitting. No wonder I see different faces every time. I learned from a class before that " If you want your employees or staff to take care of your customers, management should take care of staff first. I hope that they read all the reviews here, because I read some consistency and I believe them because I am a victim as well. If I can put 0 star I will. This is one of my favorite snack whenever I am around northridge. However, 2 weeks ago I ordered a giga BBQ and ate it as soon as I get into my car. I'm very disappointed. the fries were soggy and the flavor were non-existing. I was thinking maybe I just got the bad batch of the fries. I gave it another shot, today I ordered a giga sour cream and giga BBQ. Its the same result I had 2 weeks ago. I waited almost 15 mins, I just ended up getting a soggy and non-existing powder to my fries. I felt like the fries did not get cook correctly or I just received fries that has been sitting for how many minutes already, plus there are hardly any flavor powder. Despite how the cashier lady's attitude today of either not wanting to be there, don't want to deal with customer, rolling her eyes irritated while she tells us the wait time is about 30-35 minutes, we patiently waited. It's after the holidays and I understand it's busy and with the staffing challenges everywhere I waited. Whenever I go to Northridge mall I always take the opportunity to grab some cheese fries from this stall. The fries are delish and so as everything else. As my wait times is coming close to 35 mins I calmly and patiently stand on the side for the staff to call my number. 50 minutes waiting, after they called the number before me, I was told I have to wait for my tater tots. By the way I only ordered regular fries and tater tots. I got my regular fries with supposedly cheddar/bbq and it's looking really pale. I asked a staff if he can re-do and he was kind enough do it. After a little over an hour me and my daughter was able to get our food. All I'm saying is, 50 some minutes wait and yet they didn't bother to cook my tater tots and staff is not even bothered of me waiting even longer... smh.. read more

I hope the owners of this establishment reads these reviews because the complaints are mostly about the bad customer service. Don't get me wrong, I love the food they have on the menu specially the french fries and the tater tots, but the customer service here is horrible. Everytime I try to order anything giga, the cashier would scowl as if they didn't want to be bothered to make a large order. The whole point of trying to attract customers is to get more people to buy what your establishment is offering. But these cashiers/workers need to lighten up a bit.
