They both asked what brought me in, because they know this is a mundane task and I want to get back to my day off. No one wants to spend 30 minutes in a copy and print center, unless they have a fetish for that noise the printer makes. Kirk handed me a card with their email, and said "no problem." Paul helped me make sure the letterhead fit the letter, then printed the rest and wished me a good day. I watched Kirk assist another customer with a really heavy package, taking it to his car in the rain. Thanks, Kirk, on my behalf, as well as the older gentleman who needed your help, and for another smile and high five on the way out! Thanks Paul, for being friendly and effective so that I don't have to dread getting stuff printed. As a print shop, you probably only get complaints. These folks are amazing. I was under a tough deadline (a flyer for a family memorial service) and…read morethey were accommodating and FAST. In addition to their very thoughtful and hardworking staff, they have the magical folding machine thingie that evidently makes orders go wayyyyy faster than the hand folding done at the big-box office stores -- I know this because I checked. In fact, I started with those big office stores thinking that would be fastest (not discouraged enough by their useless websites) but was told by each of them that it couldn't happen in time because they didn't "currently" have the staff on hand to do all the folding involved in a simple half-page fold. (I was asking for 100 copies of a half-fold flyer, starting seven hours before the end of the day, with the option to pick them up in the early AM of the next day if need be.) I called Express Copy and they A) calmed me down and then B) said of course they could do it, and well before closing time at 530pm! Had a little trouble finding their place, but only because I'm from out-of-town and don't drive very often. Thank you, to Michaela and Ashley in particular! :)
