Shipping can be tricky because you don't always have standard mailing sizes at home, but the team here was so awesome in helping me measure, pack, and choose a shipping option that was economical and made sense. But still, they were happy to help me out, and that makes a big difference. Also... check this out... I got a print on 160 lb card stock, try to get that done at the other places mentioned above, nope! I did a print somewhere else and it was just flimsy. This feels like a real card, quality. Also, the guy today took the time to make adjustments for me, my image was too low resolution (embarrassing, it should have been ready to print, and it was the wrong size too!). This place makes me want to come back. Every time they help me out. Come show them some love, and get something printed. I have printed thank you cards with my artwork, I know they print art prints for local artists, signs, engineering plans, stickers... anything you need.

I arrived in the afternoon a week or so ago (beginning of December) to mail a Christmas card to the Netherlands. The line was HUGE, out the door. There was a single elder gentlemen (and by elder I don't mean OLD, just older than me with white-gray-brown hair, tall, with glasses, wearing a mask) helping folks. He...was...so...patient. And kind. I watched as he helped a younger man who didn't speak any English, pulling out a phone to translate for the young man. I don't know if USPS trains for this (if they do, freaking kudos to you all), but it wasn't just WHAT you were doing it was the WAY you were doing it. Obvious respect for a non-English speaker instead of the usual contempt many folks would have shown. Again the patience, when he didn't hear or understand your question you repeated it in English and again showed your phone and translated via text. I can only imagine how hard it must be to work a holiday shift with a line out the door and maintain your calm, and KIND presence with everyone you spoke to in front of me that day. So yea. Even though it was literally a 30minute wait to buy a stamp to send a single Christmas card, you restored a little bit of faith in humanity for that day. Thank you for your service. Happy holidays.

One of the top trending topics in West Linn the past year was the closure of our local post office…read morein the Central Village area. While to many it may seem an outmoded form of communication, boy do you miss this service when it is gone. Suddenly a quick trip while on a grocery run became more of an ordeal trekking to Oregon City. Not only the distance, but that is a very busy location in the best of times. Last month, the post office opened at this new location on the hill in the Cascade Summit shopping center. It is enormous compared to its predecessor and painted in bright orange and blue hues and everything is spacious. In the old post office, you could barely fit three customers inside (pre-COVID). One thing to get used to is the drive-up/drop-off mailbox which is in the parking lot, not connected to the building. While they offer all of the standard and expected services, it does not appear that they are passport processing center yet. While they have standard business hours in the lobby, there appears to be 24 hour access to mailboxes. Although there was a lot of drama associated with the closure of the old location and selection of this new location, I am very happy to have a post office up and running in town.
