However, I wasn't a fan of the woman behind the counter. She was dismissive and tried to turn me away instead of trying to come up with a solution to resolve my issue. I had filed a missing package claim through the USPS and she told me that they didn't deal with that sort of thing at the Brookshire USPS location. That's complete bullshit. Anyways, I did not let that deter me because I knew of somebody who had the same issue with this specific Post Office and that's why I asked for the postmaster. I'm not a believer of escalating things right away, but when you have somebody who is as unwilling and unhelpful as this woman was, then escalate. The Postmaster was helpful and I was able to get my package. In regards to things missing. My package was supposed to have been delivered the day after Christmas. I checked within 10 minutes of receiving notification and it wasn't in my mailbox. I waited until the following Monday to file a claim. I didn't hear back from anyone so I went to the Brookshire USPS because they are the ones who deliver my mail. When I went to that post office they said to check my mailbox again and it should be there.. that was on a Friday (2nd Jan) and they claimed that the package was delivered on the previous Wednesday at the cluster mailbox, but we check our mail every day and did not see a key for the package section of the cluster mailbox. When we came back from the post office that morning after visiting the Post Office, it was there in our mailbox. The previous experience that we had was that our son-in-law who is a US Marine veteran, was missing a package of medications in the mail. It has shown as being delivered, but it was never delivered. He had to have an investigation opened, and that package was never retrieved. Like I said, the postmaster here is helpful and excellent with customer service. Everything else could use major improvements.

This location is almost always packed with people dropping off packages and Amazon returns. During…read moreweekend or peak times (around holidays, for example) the line wraps around the inside of the small store and sometimes spills out into the sidewalk. There are always at least two or three workers directly assisting customers and a few more packaging boxes off to the side and in the back. They seem to be working hard each time we go in and they always seem to be busy, so I try to be as patient as possible when coming in. I don't think they can control the Amazon return requirements so it doesn't make sense to get mad at them for those rules. I am not sure how much boxes and tape costs there, but they do provide it the service there you need it. The parking in this area isn't the best because it's so crowded all of the time in this complex- and the construction on the roads doesn't help.
