The pizza I ate at positive pie was easily the best meal I had in Woodstock. There's no shortage of bougie places with mediocre bites that of course all require a reservation but this was the only place we came across with genuinely friendly service, walk-in availability, a fun, casual vibe and actual, fuss-free good food. We came to Woodstock, VT to visit and see the Christmas lights. We arrived at 7pm. Walked around in 11 degree weather and sadly all the cute stores I wanted to see closed at 5pm. We walked back to our car and I was in the mood for pizza. My husband said there was a pizza place right behind us where we were. I didn't notice it. He said it was called Positive Pie. I gotta be honest here, it's hard to make out the logo/sign on the outside, but it the logo/sign appears to say HIV Positive with the "positive symbol". On Yelp, it shows as Positive Pie. As a suggestion and since this place is relatively new, I recommend removing the positive symbol and leaving the "Positive Pie" in block letters so it's easy to read on the outside. Upon inside, we were immediately greeted upon arrival and sat down at a table. It was pretty packed. At the recommendation of the waiter, we had their vermonter Pizza. We did half cheese for the kids and half Vermonter and it was delicious. We got a large as opposed to family. A large is typically 8 slices. However, our pizza slices were cut inconsistently. So we had 3 vermonter slices and 4 cheese slices. I find the large pizza for $slightly expensive for pizza. read more

This place had newly opened & was one of the few places opened early in the week. We stopped in for dinner after a long day out. We had such a great experience. I'm vegetarian and they had loads of creative selections. My Dad is lactose intolerant & they were able to make him a pizza without cheese. I had one of the best Moscow Mules I've had in a long time. Our waitress was super friendly & informative and really made the night. It was a fun, welcoming atmosphere. As I mentioned they have several creative selections on the menu and the one our waitress recommended had walnuts on. It gave the pizza a nice crunch. May have to try this at home. We had such an amazing time at Positive Pie on our trip up to Woodstock VT. We stopped by for lunch on Friday and again for lunch today. The different pizza sizing is convenient for any size party. as a Woodstock resident was very excited about a new pizza place in town. positive pie started out strong, pizza was AMAZING the wait staff was fabulous. after taking some time off from eating out, positive pie was our first place. we were extremely disappointed in the pizza, it was as if it was a completely different pizza place than i remember. the wait staff to be nice sucks! the host when i called to order was unfriendly and no personality. honestly its so sad how unfriendly the staff is and the way they dress is embarrassing. as a local im missing a lot of friendly faces that were there in the beginning and the fun environment that it was from the start. had high hopes for this place. hopefully things change and they can get back to where they once were. read more

Okay, so -- disclaimer -- the food at Positive Pie was NOT bad. But the service and pacing were honestly a disaster. We were told the pizzas would take about an hour (fine), but the apps would come out "really quick." So we ordered everything at 6:45. My salad came out right away... and then nothing. For a long time. Our pizza showed up before the apps, and then suddenly one app had "gotten lost in translation," and the other one wasn't even in the system until the waiter went to place it after we asked. If the plan was to serve the meal backwards, someone should probably say that. The waiter just wasn't great. Super dismissive, barely checked on us, and when we joked like "hey, any update on the apps?" about 50 minutes in, he launched into a whole speech about how slammed they were with takeout orders. Cool -- but maybe take care of the people actually sitting in the restaurant too? He didn't even seem busy with many tables. Just not interested. And then a group that came in around 7:30 got their pizza at the exact same time we did. At that point we were just laughing because... really?? Oh, and the absolute cherry on top: he stood over my shoulder while I filled out the tip. Like. Sir. Please step away from the math portion of this evening. So yeah -- food = decent. Experience = nope. We're hosting a wedding nearby in two months for 150 people and will very much NOT be recommending this place to anyone. Positive Pie... the name is cute. This was awful. They were running an hour behind on pizza! They offered us cold sandwiches (pre-prepared) but sent them through the pizza oven so they came out overcooked and dry as could be.. They only had 2/3 choices available, even those took 45 minutes. We ordered wine and it tasted like vinegar. The second glass from the menu "didn't exist". So we got Prosecco-equally as bad! We will NEVER go back. It's a shame, great location and someplace different for locals. But warning - stay away! Not worth $100 for 2 people. read more

First review ever. I had high hopes for a really good pizza restaurant as a local. We were told that pizzas were going to take one hour but apps would be "quick ". Ordered apps and pizzas within 10 minutes of sitting down. One hour later the pizzas arrived but no apps. The Waiter then brings one of the 3 that we had ordered only an hour earlier. He didn't seem to care. Food was good but the dining experience was miserable. I was tempted to leave no tip but was overruled by my children. I will never go back to this restaurant. read more

I will throw in the caveat that it is New Year's Eve which could be impacting service and deliveries. HOWEVER, you would think a restaurant that already has another store in Stowe would know better and be able to prepare. I also need to say that I'm writing this review before we've even eaten. We've been here for an hour and twenty minutes and still do not have the pizza we ordered. They are out of almost every appetizer, every salad, and everything on tap. Service is horrendous. Clearly understaffed, and undertrained. System unable to handle half pizza orders (half one side, half another) which seems should be a basic of any pizza restaurant. I loved Bentley's which used to be in this spot. It's follow up was Dr. Coburn's Tonic which was horrendous and I sadly think this new place is going the same way. read more
