So when I received a text less than two hours later that he was ready, I thought they must have made a mistake. Maybe trimmed him up, but didn't bathe him? Or maybe he was such a jerk that they gave up and wanted me to come get him before he was finished. But when I arrived, I saw a fluffy, fresh pup that smelled amazing. He was taken great care of and didn't look traumatized and exhausted from a half-day event at the groomers. Sarah did an outstanding job! My dog can be a handful-he's afraid of literally everything and isn't a fan of being groomed. But she said he was a champ. I think she just knows what she's doing and is so good with dogs that she put him at ease. We will be back!

Unfortunately they got very aggressive with the de-shed. In some areas he looks as if he's a balding old man there's so little fur left. You can see his skin through the hair that's left. Not something you want to see on your long coat shepherd. Between the cost and end result I won't be a returning customer.

The lady on the phone said that no appointment was needed-just stop by during the business hours and I could get that taken care of. True to her word, I walked in and was immediately greeted and my nervous pup (he's always nervous) was taken back to have his nails cut. I was able to see him on the end table with a groomer who was talking sweetly and calmly to him while getting the job done. A few minutes later, we were on our way. While I waited, I also saw a section of the store that allows you to come in and wash your pet yourself. It looked like a coin-operated machine that you'd use. This is a great idea-for those of us that want to do it ourselves but may not have the right setup at home. I'm making a note to myself to come back and try that out when my stinker rolls around in the dirt just a little too much.

We followed through, paid several hundred dollars for his vet exam and other recommended services, and assumed we were on the right track. Fast forward to when I called to schedule the actual grooming: I spoke with a woman who was incredibly unprofessional, rude, and dismissive. She informed me (bluntly) that no groomers were taking on new clients -- something that would've been helpful to know before spending hundreds of dollars. When I expressed that, she offered no apology. Instead, she started sharing way too much personal information about staff members being out on PTO due to various family issues. I was shocked and uncomfortable. This is a business, not a therapy session -- I was calling to schedule a service, not hear about your internal staffing problems. Despite all this, I later received a call saying one groomer was willing to see our dog after all. Great -- we scheduled the appointment, and my husband even took PTO to be available. But the day before the appointment, we got another call canceling it because the groomer now had a personal issue. When I asked to reschedule, they flatly said no. No alternatives offered. No accountability. No care. We're now left scrambling to find a new provider -- but honestly, I'm relieved. If this is how they handle communication and client service, I wouldn't feel safe leaving our dog in their care anyway. Completely unprofessional, unreliable, and clearly not equipped to handle clients with even a basic level of respect.

Well they completely ignored me and did it anyway. I then spent the following 3 days, trying to soothe and comfort my dog who was having full panic attacks and licking himself raw. The vet confirmed his glands were expressed. To me this is unacceptable and I did contact them to file a complaint. I do not recommend any place who does not take your animals needs seriously.

I'm a neurotic dog owner so I was nervous about leaving my dog with a stranger, but Kirstine was very reassuring. As soon as we got to her shop, I knew I'd made a good decision (thanks Yelp for helping me find this place!) When we picked the dogs up a few hours later they looked gorgeous.
