Delicious! We had the Greek salad which was wonderful. The Feta was bright yet mild with the sweetness of the tomato. The onions and olives were not overpowering and the flavors came together beautifully. The octopus was perfectly grilled and dressed with lime, mandarin and olive oil I highly recommend you try it (had partially demolished it by the time I took the photo, it's that good). The accompanying chickpeas/fig medley with lime was a nice contrast and a bright acidity, buttery texture with the perfect amount of saltiness. On to the main course. Lobster risotto. It's mentioned as purple but comes out as a deep blue (picture provided) which matched with the bowl beautifully. The chef added pepper at table side. Perfectly al dente and creamy as a risotto should be with the obvious parmesan saltiness and flavor. The light hint of lobster stock ever present in every bite breaks through the parmesan and brings the sweetness of the lobster and the rice to the forefront. It's a beautiful contrast in each bite. A wonderful meal paired with two glasses of the house cab (it was a bit young but surprisingly added a beautiful opening with the octopus the brought out the brightness of the chickpeas). Nasty places. Went to this restaurant around 3pm for first day arrival of Miami. Didn't think we will ever have such a terrible dining experience with a restaurant. (If you wanna mention countless Chinese restaurants in US, I know it, but they only got rated at 2-3 stars, high end Chinese restaurants, welcome to NYC,queens,Brooklyn :) )No other customers there except us. First of all,a fly greeted us and Then the flash girl (you will know why later) approached us and we ordered spiced mussels appetizer; salad with figs,sesame seeds; seared tuna. Everything looks great (my girl was even appraising its decoration)until the other 2 dishes came, they are not tasty at all. Ok I understand this food is from different culture, I respect that. Also at 3pm , everyone is supposed to enjoy the sun of the beach at Miami. But as restaurant no server all the time during our dining (clearly the girl gone nowhere) we ended up asking someone who is cleaning table outside to get our bill and it was forced to charge 20% gratitude.(76+14=90, 6$ tax, I am Chinese don't doubt my math :) ). No service deserve 20%?( we the yellow skin people look like aboard visitors, easily fooled like this and pay it blindly and then tip 10% like some others do???????? Nick young meme) I am often teased by my girl that I overtipping . Well today is a perfect example to show I don't tip for trash service . I had to persuade the busboy(server?) to call his boss to ask a solution for this cuz I ain't gonna pay for no service ( they gave us a free small fours pieces pie, is that the reason you charge me??? We just come back two years after our initial visit and are still so impressed. We were greeted with complimentary ouzo and grilled bread with a tomato feta topping. Additionally our meal was accompanied by delicious complimentary champagne, thanks to the yelp check in deal. We ordered the exact same dishes as on our prior visit and once again they did not disappoint. The Bronzino was beautifully grilled, crispy on the outside and tender and moist inside. Pretty amazing Greek restaurant in South Beach. The service was impeccable and really welcoming. An excellent choice if you are in South Beach. I started with the Choriatiki Salad which does not have any lettuce in it. It's chunks of feta, capers, green peppers, red onions, kalamata olives, tomatoes, and cucumbers. The flavors were very tasty, and everything went together very well. Next time I want to try the Aphrodite salad, which is more of a traditional "green" salad with mixed greens, figs, walnuts, asparagus, raisins, honey, and sesame seeds. I also tried the mussels, which came in a delicious broth and crostini. This went very well with the salad. My companion ordered the whole Bronzino, which was expertly cooked and had the option of table side filleting. It was impressive watching the server take apart the fish with a spoon and fork. The fish is a must get. I was already fairly full when I came in, but I wish I ate myself silly on the leg of lamb that they offer. It looked very good, perhaps next time. Another stand out thing, which I will be searching for high and low from now on... Zeos beer. This dark, Dunkel style beer was terrific. Poseidon is the only place that I have ever seen this before, and I'll be keeping an eye out from now on. read more

Decided to visit this place for the Valentine's Day after reading all the great reviews. The restaurant was almost empty when we arrived around 8:50pm. There is both inside and outside seating. We ordered the octopus, bronzino, "lemon" potatos and desert. Everything was good, but not amazing. I felt that octopus was over grilled; they didn't debone bronzino - it came as a whole fish with the head and bones (all other Greek restaurants I've been to debone it for you); I've asked for greek lemon potatoes, but what was brought were just regular fried potatoes; the desert (Greek, fist on the menu, can't remember the name) was awful. Service was pretty good, but when the server brought champagne flutes, they were wet - eww. The host was standing by the entrance and soliciting customers - definitely not something you would expect from a classy restaurant. We came here based on YELP reviews. We were disappointed. Summary as follows: Pros: complimentary shots and toasted bread with a bruschetta type topping. If you checkin on yelp, free glass of champagne. Friendly staff, good service, food tastes good. Cons: not a great value, and they added 20% tip/service charge and there was just 2 of us. Was an unpleasant surprise! Regarding the price, the fried whole sea bass was $45 - there was a good review on Yelp so I got it. It tasted good, there was a nice lemon caper sauce but it was really expensive for what you get. Same comment for the chicken kabobs my husband got. He didn't even think they were marinated enough but I tasted them and they were average, like a fast food Greek place. Anyway that was our experience. There was hardly anyone there so we should have gotten a clue. I think we will scrutinize Yelp reviews and ratings more in the future. They have been disappointing this week. read more

The branzino was excellent and deboned tableside. This was the highlight, so don't miss that dish. Complimentary appetizer pizza and spread was nothing to write home about. I have mixed feelings about this place. We went for dinner on our first night in Miami. For some reason San Francisco is limited in its Greek restaurants so I'm always ravenous to get Greek food when we're in a new city. Food was delicious and had many options that intrigued us. What we ordered and what we got ended up different but we'll cover that later. We had shrimp saganaki, dolmas, the mixed appetizer/dip tray, and the roasted octopus. Again, all the food was delicious and the ambiance was romantic and peaceful. The outdoor seating is also a nice touch at night. What got me was the service. Somehow out of three dishes our server only managed to get one correct. Seeing my surprise and disappointment he asked how can I make this right and I asked for him to being the dolmas that got forgotten entirely. I assumed we would be getting something gratis as it's not what we ordered but upon getting the bill everything was listed at full charge. I asked to speak to a manager who came by at lightening speed grabbed plates and rushed off without asking how our dinner went or acknowledging that he had been asked for. In the end we decided to just leave and withhold tip for the extra item. I do think the food is good but make sure your server reads back what was ordered so you're not surprised when something else comes out! read more

Ok, I am going to rate, first, based on the service. I arrived and the sweetest host (Lia) sat me and walked me through the menu, got me a special discount that the manager kindly offered me... with a service like that while I was sipping a glass of champagne on the house due to a current promotion on yelp that Poseidon was holding, I cannot be in a better mood than this. Now the environment: The house offers a cute outside seating, although I stayed inside for the nice temperatures set AC. There is a Mediterranean music with a perfect volume to stay super welcoming... The options in the menu are amazing and the prices are super cheap for being a block from the Beach where everything is low quality and rip off. They have a welcoming bread with feta cheese and fresh tomato, super delicious... I ordered mussels and a seafood risotto with lobster tail. Might I add I have a favorite place for seafood in Miami and miles away as well! What a great experience. I like escaping the big chains and well known rip off restaurants to discover hidden gems like this place here... I could not be happier with this one. Wonderful Greek experience from start to finish. Well-priced wines and food. The owner made us feel very important and chatted with us about trips to Europe. Super fresh seafood. We had the crispy calamari and spreads and pita to start and entrees the lamb which fell off the bone delicious and branzino fish which melted in your mouth. He readily honored the Yelp Check In free drink and made it two for my friend and myself. The star for the night was the grilled Branzino. Just fabulous fish! Perfectly cooked, they have expertly deboned it in front of us. And back to Stavros - these two girls were just impressed by how he took on the dessert part. The vegetables tasted so good, we decided to split it because Kostas recommended we save room for dessert. We forgot the name of the dessert but it was with cinnamon and a cream inside and it tasted like heaven sent, we ate everything. We also got ouzo over ice and was very refreshing. We walked away not feeling overly full, we felt great. The place was clean, not crowded at all on a Monday night. They offered indoor and outdoor seating.
