Wanted to try something new in Amsterdam. Found Portugalia Tasca, a cute Portuguese spot in Rembrantplein.
Never had Portugese food before, but I enjoyed this a lot! A heavy emphasis on seafood, which I can't complain about. Got the Bacalhau à Lagareiro (Grilled Salted Codfish), Bacalhau à Brás (Brás Salted Codfish), Pica Pau (Sautéed Tenderloin), and Arroz de Marisco (Seafood Rice). All of the entrées were great. But if I had to pick one, it was definitely that grilled salted codfish. Really tasty, not too heavy, and had great flavor! Also had the Leite Creme (Portugese Crème Brûlée) for dessert, because who doesn't love a good crème brûlée?
Staff here were really friendly. Even though we got here pretty late and were definitely the last people here, they didn't try to rush us out the door.
Worth a return visit for sure. read more
