This family run restaurant offered the best meal we have had in Mexico and the very best Chile…read morerelleno (stuffed with cheese and lobster) my husband has ever tasted, and he's kind of a chile relleno connoisseur. The wife is the chef, the husband is the manager and head server, and they have just opened. We were told that the other patrons were all locals who had come over from the next port down the road (Loreto Bay) because they knew their food. We were served delicious tequila from the back, and just generally had a lovely time and were made to feel special while we were there. Go! Eat! Enjoy!

We read about this restaurant in a recent community publication so decided to stop in and try them…read more The restaurant is located on the upper floor above Agua Viva realty office and next door to Giggling Dolphin. There is a tight narrow spiral staircase which you need to navigate to get to the restaurant however our 91 year old mother who only has one eye was able to manage this. Arriving to the top you have a beautiful open view dining area under a palapa with views of the town and the malecon. There are several tables for 4 along with a small bar area. We were immediately seated and greeted warmly by Veronica who is the owner along with her husband Luis. They do have a full bar along with bottled waters and a few different sodas in cans. The menu is simple and mostly seafood with one chicken dish and a few steak dishes. I am not a big seafood eater so I was happy that the menu could accommodate me as well as the rest of my family who loves seafood. Veronica reviewed the menu items with us and informed us that they only use fresh ingredients to cook their meals and listed ingredients such as sea salt, ground pepper, white wine, pablanos, garlic, chilis, mango and cilantro to name a few. She assured us they did not use MSG or processed ingredients. After ordering Veronica brought out a basket of freshly made chips along with their special salsa which is made from tuna, mayonnaise and chipotle - The chips were fresh warm and nicely seasoned, and the salsa was a definite hit and something very different for my family. The food is prepared fresh, so it was a bit of a wait, but sitting under the palapa we enjoyed the views and nice conversation. Two of us ordered the fresh fish which is served with rice and sweet peppers with mushrooms with a garlic sauce and I had the chicken with Poblano sauce and home made mashed potatoes. When the food arrived, the presentation was beautiful, and the flavor was amazing. The rice has a green coloring to it which Veronica explained was from seasoning with a poblano and cilantro mixture. The fish was cooked perfectly, and the garlic sauce enhanced the flavors and did not over power the food. The chicken with Poblano sauce was out of this world - the sauce was creamy and so flavorful but not spicy hot. The mashed potatoes were the best I have ever had dining out in a restaurant. All in all a great dining experience made even better by the wonderful owners, great food, and nice views. The total cost for two fish dinners, a chicken dinner, one soda and two mineral waters was $660 pesos
