The quote I was given was suppose to cover standard wash/wax to worse case (very dirty, etc). I was charged almost double of the "worst case scenario quote. Then, of course I did not have even close to enough cash so I was charged a large service fee to use my credit card. Again, great work but the communication is lacking . Our Subaru was sideswiped and the body shop quotes were in the $1000's. Ellis was able to rub out the scratches and restore the rear quarter panel to near perfect condition. Our RAM truck was much worse. With our camper on, it takes some abuse navigating narrow brushy dirt roads. Both sides had very visible scratches all the way down, some of them deep. We had taken it to another detailer here in Bend and he did an okay job but the scratches were still visible. Ellis worked with me to tailor a quote that was affordable and met my expectations. He and his assistant Cecil spent over 7 hours here at our home yesterday and went way over and above expectations, rubbing out the scratches, then polishing and waxing. Cecil even did the tires and windows inside and out, even though I had only asked for the scratches to be targeted. When they were done, it looked like it just came off the factory line. Unfortunately, the fiberglass had developed some serious oxidation, especially on the front cap. I tried the ol' wax by elbow grease method, but it wasn't working. After watching several "You Tube" videos on polishing technics, I ventured out into the big box and auto parts store world to find cutting compounds, polishes, pads and a polishing machine. I search high and low everywhere in Central Oregon and to my complete surprise, these types of stores stock almost nothing I needed to get started on my DIY detail adventure. I concluded that all this stuff was available only on line. UNTIL I FOUND DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH DETAILING SUPPLY STORE IN REDMOND OREGON!
