Every haircut I've had in the last year was great up until my most recent cut with a guy I haven't tried yet. He (Ray?) was really awkward the whole time we were talking in the session. I asked for a medium skin fade with an inch chopped off at the top. This man proceeds to shave my hair into a BUZZ CUT. At that point, I was too traumatized to throw a fit ON VALENTINE'S DAY. I'm pretty sure the other barber, Kylie, could see I wasn't feeling so hot about this cut. Unfortunately, it was too late for me to try to salvage the cut into something I wanted, so I will just try to live with this buzz cut because at least I'm still not ugly. I've attached a photo of the cut I usually get. Communicate with your stylist and show them pictures of what you want, over and over just so that you're on the same page. Be more vocal when they're not doing what you want. I really wish that I was honest about how much I hated this haircut that ruined Valentine's Day for me. Lesson learned. I'm never getting a haircut from Ray (think that's his name) again. read more

This may be a Barber Shop However, In my opinion this is a Vintage Luxury One Stop Shop ! Ladies did you hear me not only can you bring your man here while he gets shaved or gets that fade. So he can take you out for the weekend. Your entire family can be serviced here with multiple services same time if waiting a drink may be offered I frequently drove passed this baber for several years never once stopped. Well when you have a bearded man barber shops are hard to find that offer quality, great service and a tastey beverage ! When my highlights weren't exactly what I wanted as far as tone and placement, I started looking at local places on yelp since I don't have social media. I found Lorena's work through her photos on the Port Parlor yelp page and loved her work. I have had two separate ppointments with her, consisting of toner, highlights, haircut, and treatments, and I am so glad I found her. Waited close to an hour for a haircut. None of the barbers spoke as I walked in. No one asked how they could help. Terrible communication and service from the boss. Whoever is the barber that's close left to the entrance barely does anything. Did 1 cut as I walked in, didn't offer me a service. I wish I didn't even have to leave one star.. Idk what the barbering services are like here but avoid Lorena the stylist in the back. In one session she managed to almost blind me and bald me. She claims she didn't use bleach but she put chemicals in my hair and it all fell out on one side. I even have scabs on my scalp. She has also permanently altered the texture of my hair. She also splashed my clothes with dye and she somehow managed to splash it in my eye and almost blind me. She knows what she did but claims my stress and worry from my damaged eye was making my hair fall out. I will be reporting her to the boards and suing her for pain/ suffering and hair loss/ injury, as well as, reporting this shop to the proper authorities. I had a great experience with the barber at PP. I didn't catch his name. Prices are reasonable, and as a non-binary individual in a predominantly male space, I feel the owner went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable. He even knew what kind of hairstyle I wanted, styled up like P!nk. Anyway, he suggested the right gel and hairspray to make that happen. I got a nice little low fade with the back lined up (as they taught me), it feels feminine and masculine at the same time, which is exactly what I wanted. They also got rid of a lot of my hair on top which was waaayyyy too bushy and out of control. So thanks team!! Way to go boss. I am terrible with names. read more

I've gone to the same hair stylist for several years and it was only until COVID hit that I had to find a different hair stylist because my current one was not taking clients. I became a client only a few months ago and I was so fortunate to have been able to meet Lorena who is hands down an amazing stylist. I was at a point where I needed a change and my hair was in desperate need of some reviving. Lorena did an amazing job of making me feel beautiful again with my hair and even took the time to educate me on certain products and techniques to help style my thinner hair. Made an appointment for what would have been my 4th trip to this shop. Absolutely no complaints about my previous trips. Showed up 10 minutes early for the appointment. Sat on my butt for a total of 25 minutes while the barber for whom I had made the appointment with shot the breeze with the man who's hair he was cutting. Call me impatient, but I regularly put in 12-13 hour work days. My time off is precious to me. I felt that my time was disrespected by this conduct.
