I've started growing out my hair since the date of my last review - and Naz & the other barbers have seamlessly taken on the task of making sure that I'm always looking my absolute best every time I stop by. Can't recommend their haircuts enough! The other fundamental selling point of Clip Joint is its steadfast dedication to preserving classic barber shop culture. Think about it - the ole' barber shop is one of the last places where a guy can go to discuss life, sports, current events, politics, etc. without fear of judgment or stepping on anyone's toes. I've always found that the clientele at Clip Joint are more than happy to talk about what's going on in the world as of late - and although some of these spontaneous intellectual discussions can get animated, they're always insightful and thought-provoking. Who knows? Maybe the barber shop is the new therapy couch now, hahaha. Anyways - Clip Joint reminds my gold standard 7 years after my first visit. I look forward to continuing my steady loyalty to their shop for years to come!

Nice barber and knowledgable about most things . When you come, come for the haircut and stay for the conversation. If you're a snow flake please don't, complain afterwards . The best barbershop in San PEDRO HANDS UP AND DOWN. Love these guys . Henry the owner comes once or twice a week if you want to meet the older Veteran. If I could give a 6 star review I would . This made me stop going there. Today I was driving past and thought I'd try them again. The old lady (I believe her name is Nancy) was the only one available, but I figured I'd give her another chance. Big mistake! She was condescending the whole time. I asked to leave 3 inches on the top, and she cut off most of my hair leaving barely an inch on the top. I told her this was not 3 inches. She held up 3 fingers like a salute and said, See? 3 inches! I said, lady, a finger-width is not the same as an inch. I showed her a credit card and told her that a credit card width is over 2 inches, and her supposed 3 inches was less than that. I even held up the card against my head and explained to her that she left less than an inch of hair on my head. She got upset and told me that in hairdresser school, 3 fingers means 3 inches. I told her that even if that were true, her customers don't go to hairdresser school and for us normal folk, 3 inches is 3 inches, not 1 inch. The insane part was that even when she put her 3 fingers against my head, it was longer than the hair on my head. When I called her out on it she asked me to get out. She said, I don't want your money, just leave. Wow, way to treat your customers. TLDR, the old lady that works here doesn't know how to cut hair. If you do go here, try to wait for someone else to become available.

After a single visit, this place will become my go-to barbershop each and every time I travel back to California! The Barber here is really friendly and welcoming with their service. The barber takes pride in their work and I can definitely see why with the results they've been cranking out with each customer. Obviously this place is exactly how a barber shop should function like. Traditional, Vintage and right on target for the perfect barber experience. Valerie is my main barber there, and she is AWESOME! She's friendly and skillful, which gives you an enjoyable experience. More importantly, she takes direction very well and offers knowledgeable suggestions. I think in the case of haircuts, the customer may not always be right. Valerie knows how hair behaves with different head shapes, and she would recommend small changes to what I asked for in order to make my cut look even more flattering and handsome. What I like the most about Valerie is that she was able to understand and picture the kind of haircut I wanted, even though I did not know all the technical terms. When I told Valerie that I could never style my hair the way she does it for me whenever I get home, she offered to take pictures of my hair from different angles and took her time to teach me how to style my hair. Now that's going above and beyond to provide exemplary service! That's a real master barber if you ask me! Thank you for an awesome experience! I recommend with 5-Stars All Day! read more
