Round1 in Hicksville is a large arcade and entertainment complex that covers more ground than most…read morelocations in the chain, and the variety of activities available makes it a viable destination for a group with different interests rather than just a place I end up at. I walked into a building where bowling, pool tables, ping pong, karaoke rooms, rhythm games, claw machines, and pinball all occupy different sections of the floor, and the energy in the space was consistent from the moment I arrived. The arcade is the strongest part of the offering, and this location carries imported games from Japan that I do not find at most American arcades. That is a meaningful distinction for rhythm game players and anyone familiar with the Japanese arcade scene. The claw machines rotate prizes regularly, and the selection of plushies is good, though individual machine difficulty varies considerably and some are more winnable than others. Coming in on a weeknight meant lighter crowds and better access to machines, but it also meant some claw machines were not fully stocked, so flagging a staff member to set up a machine if what I wanted was unavailable is worth doing. The facility is large and reasonably clean, though it gets loud during peak hours and seating for adults who are not actively playing is limited. Weeknight visits offer a noticeably more relaxed version of the same space. For a group activity destination on Long Island, Round1 delivers on variety and energy, even if individual elements like claw machine consistency have their limitations.

Luckily we were able to claw some stuffies, some key chains and win some prizes! We got a total of 1,138 tickets which we will save for next time. If I lived here, I'd be a regular. We had a great time chatting with our bartender Maddy (Mattie?…read moreSorry not sure of spelling) and some of the other patrons. The drinks were good, and the video games were so fun. They had a bunch that really brought me back to my childhood. Ladybug, Tapper...wow it's been a long time. We sat at the bar chatting and knitting in between games, it was a hoot. Ambience is dark and divey but not in a bad way at all. Spending an evening here was one of the highlights of my trip. I'll definitely come back next time I'm in town.

Barcade has a few locations around NYC, and I went to this spot. They have soooo many arcade game here. Classics like street fighter and a bunch of other old school games. Each game takes at least 2 tokens, so definitely grab a few if you plan on playing for a while. One tip is if you put tokens into a machine and it isn't working, just go up to the bartender and let them know. They'll help you out. As for drinks, they have a pretty big selection of beers on tap. Cocktails, and other drinks. Small snacks if you get hungry while you're playing too. Since it's a bar you will get carded after a certain time, which makes sense since alcohol is being served There's family day on Sundays from 12-5pm, so families can come in during those hours and enjoy the arcade. Overall, this is a fun spot to grab some drinks, play arcade games, and hangout with friends. Definitely gives you that nostalgia arcade feeling, especially if you grew up playing these games.

I wanted to share my positive experience with my son's 2nd birthday at Dave & Busters in Westbury…read moretoday . I had about 50 guests and we rented the Billiards section & bowling area along with public access to the game arcade. We had their meal package of 5 apps + added the nachos bar. We also paid a bar tab + provided arcade game cards for our guests who wanted to play. It was honestly an amazing party. It was great to have a home base of billiards/bowling which is a quieter section, after being in and out of the arcade. Many people were impressed with the food. The areas were spacious & clean. Drinks were great as well. Karen, the events manager is amazing. She understood me and my vision for my son's party. She always responded extremely fast via email with great details. Owen, the manager of the party was fantastic- always present and everything I needed was easy for him to help with. If you have a party, request Si for your bar- he's super friendly and a great bartender. The server we had was so attentive and kind, her name was Marina, and she helped keep my party on schedule and everything was so neat & tidy. At first I was hesitant to have a summer birthday indoors at a game arcade with mostly adult guests. It was the best decision to do this. Adults had a blast, so did the few kids. I highly recommend Dave & Busters for your next event.

One area is solely for Bouncing, throwing balls, climbing and another separate area on the other side of the building for jumping and playing in ball pits. They also provide laser tag games. There is a huge arcade and what I enjoyed, a mini bowling alley with 2 lanes. Everything after you pay to walk in, must be payed for using a card they provide. So you purchase credits to play all the games! It's a money maker for this place. Also you have a small store where you can exchange tickets for prizes. I think you know how that works, spending a big price on tickets for a small prize in the end. : s My son enjoyed the Jurassic world adventure shooting arcade game and likes the jumping area. I was able to go in for about 20 minutes until I was told by a young staff member there that his boss told him that Adults aren't allowed in that play area. Your miles may vary. W walks enjoyed the bowling alley. Again paid by putting credits on your card using a machine that takes cash debit and credit cards to exchange for points on the plastic card give by the Person at the front after your check in and sign a waiver for your child to protect their asses from any injuries your child may receive while playing there. Was it worth it? Yeah. Would I go back again, probably not. It's good way to kill some time with your kids. But other than that I wouldn't repeat it. My son did get some good exercise in. He's currently 9 years old. Happy jumping !
