This arcade is fun and pay one price for the full day. One concern is approximately 35% of the games either don't work, one of the two players doesn't work, or a button is broken. If this is your business, you think you'd pay more attention to the games. read more

This was a very cool concept and my kids (and myself) had a great time! It's very clean and there are a bunch of hand sanitizer stations around which I love. We encountered a few games that weren't working but the majority were fine. We were there for about two hours but I love that you pay for the day. You can leave, get some food and come back to play more. It's convenient to the bathrooms that are right in the food court. If they had a bar in here it would be *chef's kiss*. read more

The staff was extremely rude and clueless on how to deal with people --we didn't even make it past the front door due to the horrible customer service. The blonde girl at the front seemed annoyed that she had to put her phone down and interact with us. When the three of us walked in, she asked, "How many?" We responded with "three" and then asked how much it would cost. She rolled her eyes and pointed at the sign instead of answering. We decided to let just the teenager in since the activity was primarily for him. She then asked his age, and when we told her, she responded in a condescending tone and body language , "OK, fine, only he can enter then." (Which we assumed anyway since there's an entry rope blocking access) That was the final straw, so we decided to leave. As we were leaving, she sarcastically said, "Yes, goodbye please go. You were rude because you didn't say hello!" This was shocking, especially since she never greeted us and spent the entire interaction rolling her eyes and acting irritated. Business tip 101: Hire better staff or provide better training. The customer experience is essential to the success of any business. read more

A wave of nostalgia hits you when you walk in. Back when your parents would hand you a fist full of quarters and told you to have fun as they went shopping. The arcades on display are clean and range from the classics of the 80's and 90's to some more modern. Can't praise this place enough. Family friendly with an incredible staff. Beyond HOT! The whole place is literally blazing with heat coming off the old machines. Every game is old and they made my friend (who is actually blind) pay admission price to get in with my 2 children. Disappointing to say the least. We waited 10-15 minutes standing in this small square waiting to get in after ringing and ringing this pointless bell so we can pay admission. My kids played for 20 minutes before calling me off my friend's phone cause they were sweating and bored. This place is awesome! Went with my girlfriend and we headed right towards Duck Hunt! Ultimate nostalgia, especially playing on the old wooden CRT TVs. All of the games are great, they got old Mario, donkey Kong, pac man, all of the classics. They have a nice mix of arcade games and systems. I few areas they have a nice couch that you can play a system in like we played smash bros on the game cube. The guy who worked there was super friendly and helped us out if we couldn't figure out how to get a game started or a controller hooked up. I love coming here and feeling like a kid again, playing all the games I played growing up. Will definitely come back! read more

Don't get me wrong. I love video games, and it's a great concept but - nothing really stands out about this place except for the convenience of being located right in the mall. I have had the chance to visit a few times and the first couple times I was here it was great, but it seems to have declined in recent months. The staff is generally hit or miss, once they have your cash it seems they don't care about the experience. They cram as many people in here as possible, which I get because they want to be as profitable as possible, so it gets unbelievably hot. I don't know if the mall is responsible for the air conditioning or the business, but one big fan in the back corner won't cool the whole place down. (These were things you would overlook the first few times as they were just starting out as a business, but how long does it take to get the A.C. working?) I'm sure many people appreciate the lower price (I believe it was $20 before and now it's $15) but for five more bucks, I would pay it if they were able to hire more technicians or staff to repair the cabinets. (Again, to be fair I am sure finding people with that particular skill set could be difficult...) But- If I had to estimate, the day I went about 1/6 machines were not working, worked with limited functionality, or were being serviced. These are, of course, the more popular games you were hoping to play. (Such as Duck Hunt on the arcade cabinet, and the VS Mario Bros cabinet which I was hoping to try) It would even be reasonable if they just had a "This machine is out of service" sign or unplug it/power it down so people don't waste time trying to play a broken cabinet. On the same token (enjoy the arcade pun)- after asking staff for some help to either reset a game/cabinet they seem so annoyed. "These are old games, what do you expect?" There is no reason to be rude to customers, at all, at any point. As the saying goes, you had one job. The unlimited play concept is great in theory- but some of the games have difficulty with that (e.g. Ninja Turtles arcade) which is great if it were running on token system or even time limited. Someone gave all four characters basically a ton of lives by hitting the buttons below the control deck a lot and it wasn't possible for my friend and I to really play one of our favorite games as a result. It also leads to many people hogging/monopolizing particular games for extended periods of time. Lastly, in all fairness - the first few times I visited the arcade was impeccably clean, but again the last visit left much to be desired. Some customers were coughing, sneezing and smearing boogers and snot on the Pinball machines glass tops which just grossed me out. I can only imagine what was on the arcade cabinets. Thankfully from what I could tell, food was not allowed in or it may have been worse. I'm not going straight one star on this place because it did start off great but I think the quality of the experience has declined significantly. read more

Booked a birthday party here. Trying to get in touch with someone was an absolute nightmare. The phone number leads to like the video game store. But they know nothing about the arcade. They promise someone will call you back and they never do Place was to expensive to rent out for 3 hours. So we decided to go with 21 kids at 10 am on the weekend and stay till 12 or 1. Figuring arcade would be slow and we would have some room. First think was girl who opened arcade was 15 minutes late. So me and my wife are trying to entertain and keep track of 21 kids in the smithhaven food court. Once again. There's no one to call and say.....hey is someone coming ? We finally get in and have some fun and pay the normal price of 20 bucks per person that everyone else pays. Now when you just walk in as regular customer you pay that price you can use the arcade all day. Here's the kicker..... If you bring a bunch of kids for a "birthday party" you can only use the arcade for 3 hours. Huh? So everyone else's gets to pay 20 bucks and use the arcade all day. I brought 21 kids at 10 am and our kids can only use the arcade for 3 hours ? I brought 21 kids in there when no one was there. Yet my time is limited ? His response was.....well we don't want the arcade to crowded for when other people came. The owner literally wouldn't let some kids back in after 1. The owner has terrible customer service skills. If you criticize him in other forums he blocks you are tries to bully you. Sorry we will never come again. read more

I went here for my birthday and had such a fun time. There is a large selection of old and new games to play. You pay one price for a wristband and then have unlimited access to all the games for the day. You can even leave to walk around the mall or get food and then come back as long as you keep your wristband on. I loved the atmosphere with the neon signs and retro feel. From the moment you walk in, you can tell this retro arcade, located adjacent to the food court in the SmithHaven Mall, is a labor of love. They've managed to recapture the feel of the great shopping mall arcades that gen-x-er's grew up with. The staff is super-friendly and very welcoming. All the games are in fantastic condition, and clearly well maintained. I didn't find a single machine unplayable because of controller problems. The arcade is also very clean. The four pinball machines they have (which was my only disappointment, I wish there would have been more because it was nearly impossible to get a game on any of them) were fully functional, and in excellent order. There's both a hockey and foosball table, and a puck-bowler (which are very hard to find). They "pay one price", "come and go as you want" policy (which uses a color coded wristband), is very smart - since the location close to the food court is perfect! Saw this place on Facebook. Looked awesome. Drove 45 minutes to get there. We arrive. Myself and 6 kids (age 9-13). They tell me I don't have enough adults to supervise my kids. Nowhere does it say this on the Facebook page. No idea how I would know in advance. I offer to leave a deposit and I assure them I can watch them and there will be no issues. Otherwise they can ask us to leave and keep the money. They still turn us away. I message the manager over at Game On. I tell them what happened, express my disappointment and tel them D&B will gladly take my money. He responds by saying he doesn't care about the money, which is weird for a business and then proceeds to tell me he's doesn't believe I could watch the kids myself - which I do all the time without issue in various places and have never been turned away. Then he begins to get a little personal so I ended the conversation. A real shame. Won't be going back. Though they don't seem to care. read more

This place was a lot of fun and reminded me of my youth. Most of the games were working like new but there was some games that needed attention or you couldn't play. The reason for the three stars is that it is roasting hot in there and it took some of the enjoyment away. read more

To make it short and simple. 2 out of every 5 machines are broken. The woman in the front wasnt helpful when we asked if she could reset one of the machine quoting "Ugh i already reset it 2x today". We ended up moving the the thing and unplugged it/plugged it back in. Could use some upgraded and better machines. Maybe some rail shooters. Price is fair if you plan on staying there for couple of hours. But definitely needs more attention or i can see this place becoming another empty spot in the mall again. read more
