I wouldn't have known if we hadn't randomly driven by. Our curiosity made us stop to check it out. FYI, don't be deterred by the construction out front. The parking lot is in the back, as is the entrance. We walked past a sign about shopping local and then we were immediately smacked in the face by all sorts of eye candy!! This is essentially a store built of local vendor booths, so there is a ton of variety when it comes to the different products and price ranges. I was really impressed by how reasonable most of the prices were and how different so many of the products were. Also, this place is like a Mary Poppins bag, everywhere I looked there was another new room. I never realized this building had this type of square footage from the outside. In one room I discovered a section of Small Fry items, that was so nice! I'm including pictures because I couldn't possibly tell you how extensive the selection is for children's clothing, toys, adult clothing, purses and totes, home décor, jewelry, skin care and even furniture. I saw multiple vintage tea sets, an old coffee pot and some really cool luggage. I really wish I had discovered this place before the holidays, I found so many perfect and unique items for all the different people in my life. The staff is lovely and there was some delicious hot chocolate there as well! They are open Wednesdays through Saturdays and they were also advertising upcoming painting classes. The person working at the store was friendly and welcoming when I came in. When I told her I was just checking stores out she told me to make myself at home and let her know is I have any questions. As I looked around I noticed several artistically made items. From a set of glasses made from Topo-Chico bottles to handmade Chap Stick, this place had a nice variety of items to choose from. I also noticed while I was there that this place offers arts and crafts classes right in the middle of the store. They also keep some items out on the table to entertain children while their parents shop. It was nice and refreshing to find a store like this, and I plan to visit them on future visits!

3 stars for the $500 antique farm table built in the 30's in Ohio with 6 chairs and the antique 9…read moredrawer dresser for $350 (which are both incredibly great deals). The 3 stars come from the "restoration" of the antique farm table and dresser. When I purchased the dresser I asked for a small amount of cream paint to use for touch ups. I promptly took the sample to Lowes on 288 where the woman working the paint center told me the sample of paint I gave her to match was in fact not real paint. She concluded it was a bizarre mixture of chalk, glue, and some kind of binder. I was not entirely surprised by her discovery. When I first received the table I took a damp rag to the surface and discovered to my horror the "stain" came off onto the damp rag. It was also dramatically apparent she was ill equipped to restore the table when I found she had used run of the mill nails in the side of the table in a sloppy attempt to reenforce the bracing section under the table. Clearly she was unaware of furniture/ wood nails which are thin and less noticeable. I have since had to patch the holes with wood filler. I would recommend her using wood glue in the future but I can see that going badly. I purchased a gallon of top rated Valspar in the matching color. I have sense taken the table and dresser apart and began to restore both to their former glory using stripper gel, sandpaper, pre stain conditioner, stain, and a poly sealant. They are now beautiful and I receive many compliments. If she had put in real time and research into restoring these beautiful pieces of furniture she could have gotten quite a bit more for both the table and dresser. Similar tables retail for over $1,200 on antique websites and similar dressers fetch around $800. I say all this for perspective buyers who are not in the market for projects or looking to take up a new hobby, I can't say I'm entirely disappointed as I have come to enjoy the experience of refurbishing my antiques. This review is meant to come as a word of caution to prospective customers and hopefully inspire the owner to use real paint and take more care of the items she's selling, or if not be honest she has little knowledge in refurbishing or restoring antiques correctly.

We first…read morediscovered Ollie's in College Station and we are fans, so I'm glad they had the big sign off the highway or I may not have discovered they took over the Dirt Cheap location at the end of September. This isn't the kind of discount store where they have regular inventory they order. They carry things that didn't sell at other businesses, so they don't even know what they will have until it arrives. That being said it's pretty organized for the square footage they have. Their business model also means that you are getting discounts off the original prices, so you may see the same type of product range from very cheap to an average amount, but for a more expensive brand. If you are loyal to certain brands you may not find them here on one visit and then 2 weeks later they have a surplus, you have to physically go to the store to see what they have. It's not ideal for someone who is out of a bunch of stuff and needs things right away, but for those of you who always shop the sales and stock up, this is right up your alley! While what's offered will vary greatly I do notice that there is always a dry food section, a toiletry section, pet beds, cleaning supplies and bedding/towels. It also seems like Ollie's usually carries flooring materials and area rugs in the back. They typically always have a section of books and journals and at least one or two aisles of toys. The rest of it will change up regularly. For example, I saw an entire aisle of school supplies, which I don't recall noticing at other locations on other visits, but man, a great opportunity to get the jump on some of next year's school supplies for super cheap. They had multiple aisles of cookware and small appliances. The ones I looked at seemed like a great deal, but I had no need to purchase any. We saw a ton of Coleman products on that visit including grills of various sizes starting at $30 and King size blankets for $20 and entire comforter sets for $40. This would probably be my go to if I needed extra blankets for a guest or a new pet bed as they always have that stuff in a huge selection. We saw big boxes of coffee and hot coca pods for $10 and a big selection of spices on this visit as well. We didn't stop in looking for anything in particular but found some good deals for things we've been meaning to replace or purchase extra of. I got some cozy slippers for $8, a new pillow for $5 and several King size blankets. I was looking for King size sheets, but on that particular visit they didn't have anything larger than a Queen, but they very well may on my next one. If you enjoy thrifting, come here, you can treasure hunt and find some really cool deals and unexpected products! If you prefer a one stop shop or need to know the inventory for an instant purchase of a particular brand, maybe not a great fit, but still a neat store to visit and you may be able to get some of your Christmas shopping knocked out. I saw a section in the back right side called Ollie's Follies which seemed to be slightly damaged items at a clearance rate. If you find yourself shopping there a lot, they also have a card where you can earn points for every $1 you spend and get rewards. Not sure what kind exactly but that seems like a couponers dream. I say it's worth the trip!

They refuse to show the video of them running into me, and their insurance is terrible to deal with. Finaly had to have an attorney send a letter to them, and it's still been 10 days currently without a response.
