The only downside to shopping here is that all those little (or big) treasures come with a hefty price tag. The markup is really steep on their imported goods. They do have a reward program which gives you access to discounts and coupons, unfortunately they don't put a big enough dent in the prices to allow me to come more often.

Upon walking in, the layout was pretty similar. To your left was party supplies, then greeting card, then technology items with games in the back corner. On the right is a majority of your fitness items, clothing and the back right corner is home decor and organization cubes. However, this location seemed quite a bit messier than the shiny location I had visited in Denton a week prior. Their seasonal display was completely empty, just a strange empty spot in the midst of all the clutter. Since we had visited on the same day of the week and roughly at the same time (Saturday at lunch time) as we had the other location, I'm taking a guess that this location is short staffed. I only saw one employee and she was working the register, which is 2 less than what I had seen in Denton. The employee was very friendly and quite cheerful for working by herself. I have no complaints on the service we received at all. I just hope they get her some help, because there were a lot of customers in the store at the time. As a store, this is still a neat concept. I'm always complaining to my husband about dollar stores that shouldn't be allowed to have the word 'dollar' in their name because most of the store is way more than that, lol. This on the other hand, lives up to its name with everything truly being $5 or less. I really like that this is the only discount chain, that I am aware of, that has fitness items. Yoga mats, balance boards, hand weights and many of the apparel and accessories that go with it. That's neat and it's a cheap way to try out a new activity without dropping a lot of cash in case you hate it. They even have skateboards there! Both times I've gone into a location, I've badly wanted to buy the squares to build your own fitness floor. I have no idea why, I wouldn't use it, but I want it, lol. I see this chain as a healthy mix of a place to get last minute items you forgot about (phone chargers, birthday cards, Tupperware, games to keep the kids busy) and a place that gives you ideas on things you didn't realize you needed (lots of storage options, home decor, nifty gadgets like lights for dark corners, a variety of travel accessories). The children's section in the Denton Barnes & Noble store has the most visually exciting displays I have ever seen! When I walked towards the children's section and saw the fabulous displays on the walls, it drew me in, like a child walking into the storybooks we have all loved. Please see my pictures so you can understand what I am talking about. It's whimsical, magical, and makes you feel like a child should feel for a safe and exciting place to read and learn about books. I want a room in my house to look like the children's section of this store. It would be a dream come true.

I needed the payments moved back one week. ie this upcoming Friday. I have (I thought) had this noted on my account several times. Yet they would call my phone to a harassing extent, that even the local police contacted the store about. (17 times in less than and hour while I was in a meeting with the CEO of my company). As well as hanging my my nephews door for over a half hour to the point they knocked the wreath off of my door. (Did not even pick it back up). Please bear in mind. Yes, this means that I'm always late, but I've never been more than 8 days late! And they know the exact dates. A friend of mine, they banged on her door for 23 minutes with a closed fist. We have the entire thing on ring door cam. She was THREE DAYS late on her payment because she had nearly died in an accident. And her daughter had already contacted the store about it. There is obviously something very wrong going on with this location and yet no one will step up. There is 11 accounts on just google reviews that if true, constitute as harassment to an extreme extent! If I can get some kind of confirmation that some kind of repercussion had been handed out to the management staff at this location, as well as an apology to ALL that have complained about feeling threatened in their own homes I will drop everything involved. But you have forced me to miss work, you have forced my nephew to MOVE out of his home and he's never even been a customer of yours, just lives at my past address!
