They have been independently and family-owned for over 40 years, and they are a must-stop for all book and music lovers out there. This store is HUGE with over half-a-million books, movies, music and memorabilia. However, I think what makes them extra special is the curated selection of Horror and Thriller books, including some very unique collectibles. I am more into contemporary, so keep in mind those books are located on the top floor of their second building. Their children's book section was also incredible but frankly I didn't have the patience to go through them. This store can be a little overwhelming so definitely take a breath and ask for help if you can't find the genre you are looking for.

Tons of old records in the back to dig through and they picked out the cream of the crop and put them up front so you don't have to look hard to find something great. When I was digging in the back the lady who works there kept checking in on me to see if I needed anything and even adjusted the A/C to be more comfortable for me to dig in. They have 3 larger rooms of neatly organized records broken into sub genre and then alphabetized. It was extremely easy to find what I was looking for and the staff were very helpful. I then actually applied for the job of Police Officer for our local police department, and was interviewed by a sergeant in the living room of our Roberts St. house, where I grew up with my three sisters and brother Scott, who was a very good French Horn player who went to the world famous and notorious North Texas State University, where he honed his musical performance skills to the apex playing in the Washington, D.C. based National Symphony Orchestra; his pastor wife, Leslie playing alongside. The National Symphony Orchestra is simply the best representative for these United States on the performance stage, and they share a place in my heart, because I actually was blessed with the sacred fortune of joining the orchestra in St. Petersburg, and Moscow in the year 1990. Students of history will remember that the Berlin Wall came crash down, and I was blessed with fortune of witnessing history in the moment of finality and sincere graceful end. Take it from someone who actually stood in freezing snow, in Budapest then the former Soviet Union, now basically retired and resting. Give Caesar what is Caesar's, and dare enough to turn over the evil tax collectors's tables; Jesus Christ saved us all with His blood shed on the cross at Calvary; I am blessed with a short enough memory to fill in the blanks of my rough and tumble daily routines, all of which are currently being stress tested, found to be safe and robust and currently found to be lacking in some ways, including the nebulous and vital ways. Remember, one cannot "study" for a typical physician ordered stress test, unless you consider the very logical process of changing our dietary habits. If we are really prepared to go the whole hog, we really should be positively anchored in our Lord Jesus and continue to improve when we can manage. The previous store felt way too big and overwhelming. This new store was well lit anond very organized. The store is very inviting and cozy, and the layout makes it easy to find whatever what you are looking for. The employees were friendly and informative, and you can tell that they are proud of this new store. The employee who helped me check out, even took the time to explain their free rewards program, and her help was much appreciated. The new location also has much easier parking, with plenty of spaces just outside their front door. They verbally confirmed we paid for those items. When we returned to pick up our items they said we had to pay again! We have the receipt. They are refusing to acknowledge they agreed that we paid for items. We requested video evidence from their cameras proving the clerk didn't handle those items. They refused to prove their case. I'm starting to be suspicious that they hold back items to steal from customers!

The price quoted was a lot with a 10 week wait! But after they explained what repair entailed and what to look for when purchasing a BIble that lasts, I understood. I didn't get the name of the person that spoke to me, but she had excellent customer service skills and she used them, taking time to explain the process so very kindly. I decided to just buy the kid a new Bible (one not glued, but sown together, her recommendation) but if I ever need a book repair service, they will surely get my business. We came to the Book Doctor with a small devotional, quite honestly a lost cause with no cover or binding and several severely damaged pages. We were hoping for some sort of cover and binding to preserve it since it is of great sentimental value and over 90 years old. What we received back was a gorgeous gem, a true made-to-order family heirloom. Not only was the cover beautiful, the binding is a work of art and pages we thought were lost forever were delicately and expertly restored. We stand amazed. Again, if you expect to do it on the cheap and have it by next week, forget it. But if the book in question matters to you and you budget for time and money, plan in advance, make an appointment with one of their experts, then expect the best. These are artisans who will pour all their skill and experience into your valued piece and devote entire days solely to its restoration.
