The pork chop looked good, but it didn't seem seasoned, and there wasn't enough gravy on it to really be considered smothered. My husband's soda also had a strange aftertaste, which wasn't pleasant. On a positive note, the sides were absolutely delicious. The sweet potatoes, butter beans, rice, and cornbread were all flavorful and enjoyable. That's honestly what saved the meal for me. I know every restaurant can have an off day, and because we've had great experiences here in the past, we'll definitely give them another chance. This visit just wasn't up to the standard we've come to expect from Sweet Mama's.

Baked beans, huge ball of mashed potatoes had No seasoning. Thank "heaven" the gravy was on the side . Fried looked w/ mac n chees, collars looked good. A classic food truck bait and switch..though I kept my composure and hoped the food might still justify the cost. After about ten minutes, my order arrived. The disappointment was immediate. The sandwich was remarkably small, barely larger than a sauce cup, and the bread was dry. The so called jerk chicken bore little resemblance to the real thing, and what little protein there was proved equally dry and underwhelming. The dominant flavor came from a generic tomato based sauce, rather than any authentic seasoning. Two bites were enough. The fries offered no redemption: overcooked, greasy, and completely lacking in seasoning. All told, it was one of the most disappointing meals I've had in quite some time.

The first plate was smothered pork chop over white rice, cabbage and mac and cheese. The second plate was turkey wing over white rice, Lima beans and mac and cheese. The extra protein was the pig feet. Both plates came with corn bread. Everything was delicious. The only problem I had was that the Lima beans were a little too salty. Otherwise I had no complaints. The service was excellent. The lady behind the counter was so friendly and welcoming.
