    chicken gizzards

Really good chicken. Nothing much else to say. Enjoyed the actual fried chicken better than the gizzards. The "fixins" were fine. Tried fritters for the first time, that's a southern thing lol. This place was really busy. going inside was better than the ridiculously crowded drive-thru. Only thing is someone needs to be on table cleaning duty. I wanted to sit down and enjoy my chicken gizzerds since they are better fresh, but many of the tables had chicken crumbs and weren't wiped down even tho there was nobody eating inside... Staff was nice. Prices weren't bad, similar to a national chicken chain. Fryer's will definitely satisfy that craving for nice tasty juicy fried chicken!

Fryer's is the best fried chicken breading I have ever had. The crusty exterior shatters with each crunchy bite. We sat inside and enjoyed an 8 piece lunch special with green beans and slaw. The beans were a little soggy and over cooked. The slaw was pretty good actually even though it looked over mayonnaised. We could not eat all the chicken even though we wanted to, it was so delicious. We took out box to go thinking we would reheat it, which is a fools errand. Nothing is going to be as good as fresh friend chicken coming out of the fryer.

Fryer's Chicken: Fried, Just Right! We were craving fried goodness and Fryer's Chicken was on our way back home to Gainesville from beach day. We did carry-out, but they've got a drive-thru and a small, quaint space inside if you feel like sitting. Everything was hot and fresh. The Corn Nuggets, crispy on the outside, creamy and hot on the inside. I dipped them in ranch (they've got the good kind). Tenders - fried chicken: Fresh, tender, juicy, crunchy--fried right!!! Everyone seemed polite and hard-working to get orders out especially since they seemed busy in the drive-through. Craving: satisfied.

This off the beaten path chicken spot is well worth the drive to Melrose. From Gainesville. It's better than any chicken spot we have here in town. Chicken is always hot and fresh. And their sides are a home made .their baked beans are to die for. And they have some amazing sweet tea. Staff is efficient and always friendly and the drive through can get busy at times depending on what day of the week it is. Dinner time's especially busy. Fryers has that local hometown grown feeling to it? Whether you are in the drive through or walking into the dining area, they have. Very homey feeling.

Ok this place is tiny and man there is a wait but solid fried chicken. Tenders good and the gravy is legit. The fritters are tasty but really need a jelly or a sauce of some kind. Skin is crispy and the dark meat was juicy. Decent find out here in the country. The people at the window were so nice and very polite!!! Service gets a gold star

1 piece of fried chicken and 1 fritter

Food is 10/10 Service is fast! Staff is amazing! My go to place when wanted chicken and hands down the best fried chicken I've EVER had!!

CHICKEN WAS RAW. I wish I could give 0 stars. I ordered the 8 peace dark. And every single piece of chicken was raw. When we called to complain, they told us that they would give us a free thigh and leg for compensation. Didn't even offer to give us our money back. We were also told that they "got new cooks that are teens" and they "been receiving complaints" I am pregnant. This is an absolute disgrace and I will not be coming back here again, we used to love going here.

The prices are very high. They take advantage of being the only game in town when it comes to fast food fried chicken.

We asked for water, halfway through, had to ask again when we asked for the check near the end. She had to get us a to go cup. They brought no plates for us to put our wing bones and shrimp tails, I had to use napkins to pile those onto. We ordered a simple meal for two, wings, shrimp and beers. That's hard to mess up so much on a Thursday night.

Our brunch experience definitely confirmed that, with a tasty twist on Cajun cooking. My husband tried the Earlton Hash. He topped it off with a bottle of beer to connect the two eating periods. I opted for the French Toast. It was tender and moist. It came with very crispy bacon. The dining room is nicely furnished with stained glass sea life. They also showcase artwork for sale. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable. However, the kitchen is a bit slow in service. Apple Maps struggled to provided proper directions to parking and it might be because the area is under construction so just give yourself time to find Loosey's especially if going for dinner. It sure is worth the effort though, especially if you get Matthew as your server. He is full of wit and great local knowledge. He charmed our table from our first encounter. Loosey's has to be a local favorite because the quality and freshness of the food is outstanding. Matthew is a local treasure and made our experience there so memorable and fun. We all remarked that it must be so electric there when live music is on stage or it's a Gator game day. We started with the loaded potato skins. There were 5 large pieces that were covered with toppings and delivered pipping hot. I could easily order that as a meal next time I'm in town. Their house ranch dipping sauce that is drizzled on top was delicious. Several in our group ordered the Chic-fil Loosey's, which is a buttermilk fried chicken sandwich, but I wasn't able to grab a photo as they were so eager to get started eating it. The portion of chicken breast was extremely large and the batter was perfectly crispy. Both diners exclaimed it was one of their all- time favorite chicken sandwiches they had ever eaten. Another diner took advantage of their wing special and exclaimed the Buffalo Garlic sauce was fantastic and she paired them with their ranch as well. She loved their added touch of the small paper basket topping the plate of wings for the bones. I had the Classic Beef Burger and it was cooked perfectly. There was a nice peppery flavor to the grill of the burger and the patty size was more than I expected. Especially for the price. I was so happy we found Loosey's. It was really good food. I encourage you to look past the construction mess and the "old wooden bar" stereotypes and trust me when o say, they take great pride on preparing high quality food.

Beautiful day so we sat outside in a lovely patio area. Great beer menu with draughts imported or domestic as well as a full bar. The menu was pretty much standard bar fare I had fish and chips and my wife had Mac and cheese. The fries on my plate were covered in salt. I tried to shake it off and wound up with a layer of salt on my plate. Most restaurant food is too salty for me as I cook at home low salt but this was crazy. I decided to try the Mac and cheese. It also had a cap of salt on it. I tried to dig to the bottom of the crock thinking that wouldn't be salty but I was wrong. The dish was prepared with salt throughout. Time to go and I did complain. The waitress said she hears that a lot and she offered to replace our meal to go but we didn't take her up on that offer. The fish was great! And we loved the vibe of the restaurant inside and out. I would go back again but knowing that I would order SALT FREE !!

It was only about 30min away from my house which isn't bad at all. I mean I will go great lengths to travel for food, okay?! I walked in and was immediately greeted by the sweetest lady! It was around lunch time so I figured they'd be pretty and they were, but I appreciate how they make everything fresh. Because of that you'll be waiting a little bit. I knew in my mind I was gonna get a smash burger after looking at the menu beforehand. I specifically went with the double with no tomato or onions. It also automatically comes with cheese, ketchup, mayo, and mustard. I had also planned on getting a shaved ice, and I did but looked at the flavors and combos one more time when I got there for confirmation. I went with a small (12oz) maj tai which was a combo of lemon, orange, and pineapple. I love a good shaved ice and it certainly was, I mean it's hard to mess those up right? The burger though? AMAZING. Seriously one of the best I've ever had. It was also huge to wear it almost didn't fit in the small to go container used. I also love a good hot dog so I would love to go back to try one of those combos. Here's a tip: on Thursdays, they have $7 hot dog combo that comes with a side and drink. Needless to say I will definitely be back soon and I highly recommend!
