I then asked to speak to the owner and very aggressively she responded, "I'm the F******* owner". I caused no harm and the incompetent bouncers then locked me outside. I sustained injury to my hand and leg. The bouncers didn't even check to see if I was ok. Police and an ambulance were called. I will be pressing charges against this horrible and disgusting person/employee. She's a huge liability. This isn't the first time that she's been violent at her place of employment. I would be embarrassed to have her working for me. She is trash!! *** Also, This establishment keeps taking down this review. I will continue to get what happened to me out in the public!! **** The owner's reply "Always remember there are 2 sides to every story. First calling Someone a name to start out your comment is not a good look. "Ugly Jackie"? We have 64 cameras on property. This was all caught on numerous cameras. You were asked to leave Multiple times in a few minute timeframe, You then proceeded in flipping the middle finger to Jackie the bar-tender. She then came around from the back of the bar to help escort you off premises. When you got to the doorway a CUSTOMER. I repeat a CUSTOMER. pushed you out the door where you hit your leg and fell to the ground. The officers came and got the footage and I'm sure you will be notified of this. Again, A CUSTOMER, A MALE CUSTOMER, not a security guard, or any employee, then proceeded in Grabbing you and pushed you out the door. You hit the side of the door. You are correct, the Security Guard did then stop you and your friend from re-en-tering the building. Due to the scene you two created inside. You then called police and received an ambulance. In today's day and age cameras do not lie. Sometimes people do. I was not present, But once again. Watched the surveillance with the police today and this is what was seen by all. We were told to give you a notice to stay off the property. So here is your notice. Do not come back to Woodside Bar and Grill" *** It's amazing how false the owner's entire response is. I talked to the police and what he saying is indeed incorrect and actually, your manager was the one to release the footage to Stoneycreek Police. You were not involved. The owner, Robert, is trying to cover himself and his crappy violent establishment. Thank you for not welcoming me back because I wouldn't come back even if you paid me. I want nothing to do with people who support violence in this community and lying. I mean this sincerely, I hope one day that this places closes.

My mom and I stopped here for lunch on the way back from last minute grocery shopping. The…read moreexterior of the building is beautiful, and it has been around for nearly 200 years. So there is an old age charm about this place. Inside it is pretty modest with the bar being the main draw. But alongside the bar are a few booths, and beyond the bar they have an informal dining room as well as a game room. The lunch menu listed mostly sandwiches, but I did see a selection of wings and sauces which piqued my interest. In Pennsylvania, one can often find great wings in hole in the wall places made by small time cooks who make their own sauces. This place was no exception! I opted for 6 garlic and butter wings and 6 California gold rush wings. They charge this as 2 separate orders of 6 wings rather than a single order of 12 wings costing you about $2 more, but when the wings arrive, I doubt you will complain. Turns out, when they say wing, they mean the full wing. So each wing was really equivalent to two regular size wings. All of a sudden my 12 wings just exploded into 24 wings -- far too much food for me to eat. The garlic and butter wings were exceptionally good, among the best wings I have ever had. Fresh, rustically cut garlic generously adorned the wings. Lovely. The gold rush wings had honey mustard and hot sauce. These were pretty good, but not nearly as good as the butter garlic wings. I felt the heat was really missing from these, but the mustard had nuance which was nice. The wings themselves were definitely prepared to order and were very large. Service was really friendly, and everyone was down home. This is probably a good local drinking spot at night. Definitely recommend for the wings.

I'm going to be honest, I have drove past this unassuming building in Johnstown for years without…read moreeven knowing it wasn't deserted, but that it was diamond in the rough. In this part of Johnstown, it definitely is a rough area. Parking is either on street or across the street in a gravel parking lot beneath a billboard. If you do park in that lot, do be carful crossing the street as it can be a busy one. Plus there is a slight curve that a driver might not see you while your rush across the street. Once inside you can tell that it lives up to the bar and grill in its name. It has this look inside that gives off this 80s dining vibe. One that calls back to those eateries once found in the mall. You know, those ones where it's almost too dark to see yourself let alone the menu. One where it is very dark wood, heavy on the brick, and all things that make you feel like your in and old time inn. Once settled at a table, we had our menus in hand and were given some time to look them over. Our server came back, took our drink orders and left us for a few more minutes to finalize our decisions considering the menu. Once we decided orders were place and we just waited for our food to come out. It gave us time to look around the place and take in our surroundings. When we first got here, there weren't many people. As we ordered, there were more and more customers that came in. Filling up the tables and making it feel warmer. We were in the midst of conversation and our food came out. I ordered the Franklin Street Bar & Grill Famous Meatloaf. This comes with a slice of the thickest homemade meatloaf I have ever seen. Plopped on top of a pile of mashed potatoes then topped with fried onion rings and smothered in brown gravy. This thing, even though not exactly as described and pictured, was delicious. Not sure if it is fame worthy as I have never heard of it, but hey, I will make sure to remember this when in the area again. To note, entrees are served with your choice of soup, salad, or applesauce, and comes with a homemade dinner roll. The service here is stellar. They all go out of their way to make you feel welcomed and their memory is like a vice grip. One thing you do need to keep on your toes about here, watch your step. With the dimness and small step ups, it would be easy to trip. They do have signs everywhere, but they can be hard to spot if you aren't aware of your surroundings.

For lunch, the sandwiches and soups are amazing! (They also have soup flights!!!) For dinner I always recommend the sou vide chicken. It's the best chicken in town. The ONLY reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is the wait times for food. Food can up to 45-50 minutes to come out of the kitchen when they are really busy. Now, does that impact the experience? Nope! Enjoy the atmosphere while you wait. It's always well worth it.
