I ordered the three fried chicken wings, cabbage and candied yams. Everything was delicious especially the cabbage which was seasoned to perfection. The biggest surprise for me was the hoe cake which took me all the way back to my childhood days visiting my grandmother's kitchen on any given special Sunday dinner, as a stack would be placed on the table to go along with the dinner. Needless to say I enjoyed the hoe cake, you sure don't see those everyday. The service was excellent and friendly, the sweet tea was everything, I can't wait to visit Big Ma's Soul Food again.

This place is going to be the best roadside stop you make. We came here on our drive to SC from Florida and it was so perfect. The staff is so sweet, you feel like you walked into their home. The portions are HUGE, so a good sharing option. We did two plates, one with BBQ chicken and green beans and Mac and cheese as the sides. The other was the ribs with collard greens (best ever) and sweet potatoes (I mean. Seriously). Enjoy the ambiance, the amazing service and please get the green beans. I mean just so good.

I have had a few of their meats and my favorites are the ribs and the porkchops. They really know how to handle pork. As for sides, any vegetable is a winning pick and the mac and cheese is a perfect pairing with any fried food. The service is fast and accurate and their system for running through the long lines works amazing. The restaurant is a bit dated but it Taylor's has been an institution for forever so that's a good sign. This is a perfect quick lunch spot or a quick family dinner spot. Seating is limited but tables rotate pretty quick. If you are wanting a place to sit and chit chat for an hour, I'd suggest taking the food to go.
