Once I saw that, I told my husband let's just go to Rudy's. They have the best breakfast tacos and are less than $3 a taco. We were greeted with a warm good morning as we came in the door. The cashier helped us with the cost of the tacos, bag our tacos and salsas, and rung us up. I love the country style decor and picnic table seating but we decided to take our tacos to go. We got 3 tacos for around $10. They are so good. Fresh tortillas with great tasting scrambled eggs, meats, potatoes, etc. We just went to their order to go side and grabbed ready made tacos and delicious red and green salsa. All of our breakfast tacos were delicious. Egg, potato, and cheese, brisket & egg, and chopped beef & egg. The brisket and egg was my favorite. It had just a small amount of smoke flavor without being overpowering. You didn't just taste egg. It all complimented each other very well. I was impressed by the amount of meat. I love the green salsa. That's my favorite but I put both salsas on it. Honestly the bbq is hit and miss at every location I've been to. I'm not crazy about the bbq sauce either but I always like the tacos. Especially the bbq breakfast tacos.

My husband had the ribs and I had the the El Tejano Taco. Both did not disappoint. They also had a Bacon Ranch Hashbrown Casserole, I do not like hashbrown casserole, but I tried it. Yum!!! I finally tried Burnt Bean Co. after hearing all the hype about it being one of the best BBQ spots…read morein Texas, and honestly, I don't think it lived up to it. Overall, I'd give it a 2/5. The brisket was mediocre at best -- slightly under seasoned and the smoke flavor tasted a little off to me. The pork ribs were lacking flavor, and the bacon ranch potatoes were pretty much flavorless and definitely needed salt. The street corn pudding was okay, but it also felt bland somehow -- not really sweet or savory, just kind of there. I also tried the beef ribs, and they were just okay. They weren't nearly as tender as I expected, especially considering the reputation this place has. The highlights for me were definitely the beef cheek pastrami and the sticky ribs. The beef cheeks were melt-in-your-mouth tender and perfectly seasoned, and the sticky ribs had great flavor. For the amount of hype, long wait times, and "best in Texas" reputation, I left pretty disappointed. I honestly don't understand why this place is considered number one in the state.

All the spots in houston and Schulze's bbq is up there with any of them if not the best! I'm starting to wonder if Texas monthly is even a legit thing. Because this place could easily be number one. I'm surprised I've never heard of them because this is some of the best barbecue I've ever had. Some of the best customer service too! I'm so glad I stopped in. This will be my go to every single time when I'm in Seguin, Texas. Food: everything was phenomenal! The brisket was made to perfection absolutely some of the best brisket I've ever had. The jalapeño sausage, I've never had a jalapeño sausage that good! The cheese was bursting out of the seam! The tater salad oh my God! Talk about a blast from the past if you're from Houston Texas, and remember the old Heights camp house BBQ, you will remember they had Camp house potatoes. They tasted exactly the same wow I was so happy to try that because I never thought I'd have a dish like that again in my life. The brisket rice was OK. I probably would get something else. The banana pudding was phenomenal. This is some of the best barbecue I've ever had. Easy five star review! The customer service was great. The line moved quickly and everyone was extremely nice. I will go out of my way to come here and get barbecue every single time when I'm at Seguin, Texas. This should be on Texas monthly, this should be on everyone's radar if you love barbecue! Once again, thank y'all for the amazing customer service and amazing food!

The dining room was very clean. Staff very nice. You can tell they are trying to learn the craft of Texas bbq. The staff don't seem to be in communication with each other. I saw some white lady that just looked angry behind the counter I'm assuming is the owner. Now, I did have VERY high expectations for this place because I have been a long time follower of 90 West barbecue since they first began. I know Jesus and Robin moved to this location. With that said I had high hopes the food would have came along with them, which by visual plating, and taste it absolutely did not. I honestly felt them two would have easily been brought this place on the top 50 bbq list and that got me so excited to make the drive out to try it. I did ask for Jesus but they said he was off when we went by. That surprised me they always work! Haha I don't know if he will see this review since he is a manager but Jesus your very talented man with a heart of craft bbq we know your worth, your bbq was killer. I pray someone will give you a partnership to begin your own restaurant location you will do just fine back in San Antonio and we will be right there with you and Robin.

We wanted to try a little bit of almost Everything and that's exactly what we did. For sides we got, potato salad, mashed potatoes, creamed corn and macaroni. For meats we got, brisket (fatty pieces preferred) turkey, Jalapeño cheddar sausage and ribs. Everything was stellar, but the star of the show was the brisket! Probably some of the best brisket I've had in a long time. The bark was perfect and the fat had such a nice juicy flavor filled bite. Everything honestly was top notch so we were very pleased with our spread. Can't wait until they open the location in San Antonio.

Staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming, which honestly deserves 5 stars by itself. Unfortunately, you can't earn 5 stars just on atmosphere points. I ordered 1 lb of lean brisket, and "lean" apparently translated to "dehydrated museum artifact." Dry enough that I'm pretty sure it absorbed moisture from the table. We actually ended up tossing most of it, which physically hurts me to say about Texas BBQ. The mac and cheese? I mean this respectfully... maybe let that item retire with dignity. Before everyone grabs their pitchforks, the Baby Back Ribs were REALLY good. Tender, flavorful, and absolutely part of the meal. The cream corn was solid too. And then there was the potato salad... whoever made that deserves a raise. Dill flavor, red skin potatoes, little carrot pieces, dill pickle tang and easily one of the best potato salads I've had anywhere. I normally take two bites of potato salad out of obligation. This one I kept going back for like it owed me money.
