this is the place to be. the gentlemen were so kind to my son, he's 4. we were a little nervous because i have cut his hair forever. he wanted a big boy haircut and i was tired of chasing him around with the scissors. not safe lol. he sat in the chair all by himself and shizzle and pops were so sweet to us. we played basket all and pops handed him some trucks to hold while he got his haircut. very proud of him and the barbers for tolerating a wiggly little guy. go here. you won't be disappointed. read more

Pop's Barbershop - big boy haircut - Barbers Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

This is my son and I's second time going here for his haircut. Malik is non-verbal, severely autistic and very sound sensitive and weary of new experience. Both barbers we had, Ricardo and Shizzle were amazing with him. They made sure he was comfortable with what they were doing and took their time. I was really nervous taking him to a place, but we couldn't have found a better shop and experience. Thank you guys!! read more

First time here, haven't had a haircut in 4 months and I've always been picky about my hair. So I checked this 5 star rated barber. HANDS DOWN BEST CUT I EV. Very clever and creative. Shizzle got my back, gained a customer for life. read more

This is truly one of the best barbershops I've ever encountered. Trust me when I tell you this.. I'm extremely picky with my hair! Pops thanks again for all you do. Appreciate you. read more

Had my first experience here with Ricardo. He did an amazing job. I have a sensitive scalp and he used my own product so it wouldn't harm my scalp. He also did a cut that was picture perfect from what I brought. I have a difficult beard with it growing in different directions and he did a great job trimming it perfectly. Shop was nice and clean with a good set up. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. I have found my new barber and I'm very happy. read more

We're from out of town and asked around about who did the best fade and we were told Pops was the place and everyone was right! Thanks to Shizzle for hooking my son up he loves his haircut. Highly recommend!! read more

Great place, my fiancé usually takes our boys to his barber but we had to get in soon and fortunately this place had some openings and was close to our house. By the time we left here my son said "not alot of barbers know how to cut my hair like this, he did a super good job, I want to start coming here now". Lol The barbers were friendly, the place was entertaining for my other son who was playing basketball on the indoor net and the guy ( I believe his name is Naldo) did an amazing job! Will be coming here again! read more

Friday, Feb 23rd. I needed to make a flight to Phoenix at 12 noon for a great friends wedding. I work way too much. I have my barber that I would normally go to back home. He's probably forgotten my face because I haven't had a day off in months. I take my cuts seriously. I had to leave for the airport directly from work and could not get a cut before I departed. Saturday, Feb 24th. We're getting prepared for the wedding the next day. I'm getting anxious about finding a great barber. I start looking at Yelp and see a ton of "barber" shops in the area that look ok but aren't full service--what kind of self respecting barber shop doesn't offer shaves? Then I found Pop's in my search. Great reviews, full service, great pricing. What caught my eye is that they let their customers hair do the talking. They feature their work instead of decor, something not lost on a potential customer sifting through a litany of barbers. I called the shop to verify that walk-ins were welcome and was greeted very warmly on the phone by pops. His welcoming phone presence was what sealed the deal for me. I showed up with my fiancee and buddy who we're staying with. Pops greeted us and every other customer who walked through the door in a very cordial way. The wait was about 30 minutes which I'm used to for the barber in my town. No big deal for a great cut. I then sat down with pops and had a great conversation. I conveyed what sort of cut I wanted which included a razor fade and a beard line up/shave. He proceeded to confirm that he is a consummate professional. He took extreme care in every step of the process. Friends, I'm here to tell you that I'll be sad to return home after this. I'd love to continue to give Pops my business. The way they conduct business, engage customers, and--most importantly, transform hair is amazing. If you are reading this and are in my situation or are a local looking to upgrade, go to pops. Trust me. Thank you, Pops! read more

Just moved to this side of town and I'm like 40 minutes from my old barber, searched the web and found pops barber shop, they did a great job and I'll definitely be going back P.s. How bout dem boyz lol read more

Love Pop's. Not only will you get a great cut, especially if you're looking for a tight fade, but the men who work here understand what it means to provide great service. They go the extra mile, not just with ensuring a good cut, straight razor on the neckline, attention to detail, etc., but they go out of the way to make sure you feel valued as a customer. I won't go anywhere else. Make sure you book an appointment online as they only take walk ins on Saturdays (be prepared to wait). read more

Probably the best barbershop in town!! Just moved out here and went to a couple barbershops before coming to this one and they disappointed me but this one was outstanding. Recommend this barbershop for everybody thanks pops barbershop! read more

Pop's Barbershop - Great haircut from Ricardo! - Barbers Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

It's hard to find a barber shop that is good in Phoenix. I took my grandson in and Richardo cut him. Did a great job for cutting him for the first time. Establishment is clean, and the barbers are very respectful. I held a barber license for over 20 years and I must say I was impressed! Went in on a Saturday and it wasn't a long wait at all. read more

Man when I say I never thought I would find a barber remotely close to my barber in California, well I found one and the way Ricardo cut my hair made me feel like he had been my barber for years! Not everyone can line me up right due to my weird hairline but he did a phenomenal job! I am so thankful to have found him! Honestly speaking of you have a barber already you need to leave him and start going to Ricardo at Pops Barber Shop! His customer service was great and his personality was awesome as if he knew me and it was my first time! If I could give 10 stars I would!!! Taking my Godson for a haircut as well he's definitely got 2 new loyal customers and anyone I know has to sit in his chair as well! read more

Friendly and respectful staff very good at what they do. Wait was reasonable to how many people were ahead of me.

Now THIS is a barber shop! So incredibly happy with my excellent cut (I'm a picky woman!) and the level of service/cleanliness/respect for COVID guidelines here. Ricardo is a love! Just sad it took me so long to finally try this place. read more

Wow! I am very picky when it comes to finding a barber. After walking into pops barbershop I feel like I struck gold. It has got that authentic barbershop feel and it was very inviting for my wife and my 2 year old daughter. So much so that both of them were entertained long enough for me to get my haircut. Ricardo has done a great job combining the old school look with a new school feel. Needless to say I have found my barber in Phoenix. read more

Today I brought my 16 year old son in to get a cut. Ricardo was able to take us immediately. He gave excellent customer service and listened to everything my son wanted. The environment was comfortable and relaxed and the prices were reasonable. Parking was easy and storefront. We left feeling like we had found an excellent new barber and are looking forward to using this business in the future. Most importantly my son left with (his words) "a fresh fade with clean lines." and a smile on his face. read more

I came from another barbershop that had horrible service, was over priced and didn't appreciate their customers. I found pops searching on yelp. Everybody there has been welcoming, done a great job on my boys and husbands hair and is priced affordable. We personally have sizzle do their hair, he's calm, quiet and doesn't get frustrated with a wiggly toddler. Yes I would recommend. Nice, fun environment. We will continue to go and give them our business from here on out! read more

My son (15 y.o.) has been going to Pop's for a over a year now. Professional, friendly, clean and overall great atmosphere. My son is always pleased with his cut with Pop's and will not get a cut from anyone else. An added bonus is that you can set an appointment so no more waiting around. I highly recommend this place. read more

Ricardo is a wonderful barber and person. He is so kind and courteous. His shop is always impeccably clean, his service is phenomenal, and his prices are extremely reasonable. I've been to several barbers over the years, paid upwards of $75 for a haircut/beard trim combo and Ricardo is one of the best and by far the best value. I could not recommend stopping by for a haircut enough. If you want a friendly, courteous, clean haircut stop by and see Ricardo! read more

4/30/2016 Update I went back to Pop's today for a cleanup before a business trip and I can't state enough how much I like this place and Ricardo's service. Ricardo has done it again and provided me with the cut I wanted exactly to my request. My favorite part of the cut is the hot towel head massage, it is a very nice touch. Thanks Ricardo! 4/9/2016 Review I just had an excellent experience with Ricardo at Pop's, he is a very chill and down to earth guy who really listens to you when you tell him what you want in a cut. First time being there and was a nice inviting feeling. Got a fade and was done very nicely. Will go again.

My husband and I flew in for a wedding this past weekend and he desperately needed a haircut. We looked up places on Yelp and were pleasantly surprised to see Pop's - which was fairly close to our hotel - pop up on the recommendation list. We called and were told there was an opening shortly so we went over. Wow! What a gem! My hubby and I waited about 10 minutes while client in front of us was finishing up. In that time, so many customers came in and wanted Ricardo. I was blown away. He was so kind to everyone and thoughtful to each customer. - they would wait hours for him. We were in line for Shizzle - who also was fantastic. Each customer - would get hot towel massages and the best haircuts I have ever seen. We live in Texas - I WISH there was a place like Pop's here! Fantastic and worth WAY more than they charge. Love this place. Highly recommend! read more
