The onion strings are my favorite thing on the menu and the chipotle ranch that comes with it is also an option for dressing on the salad. I finally ventured into Kat's recently and told the person at the register that I was very nervous. The staff were kind and knowledgeable. They were encouraging, not pushy. The bagels and the cinnamon roll are amazing. The sourdough really shines through on both and I'm thrilled to have not had a reaction. Are the items a bit pricey? Maybe to some folks but I appreciate the high quality and dedication so that I can finally have fresh bagels!! Sorry, no pictures - I ate too fast ! Looking for a plant based restaurant in Memphis is very difficult…read more The experience here solidifies my feelings. I've been here about 3-4 times for various items and none are impressive. The smoothie bowl was melted, the fresh juice was pre juiced and poured in to a cup, and the zucchini noodle bowl was just... bleh. In this economy to toss a plate due to undercooked sweet potato and over cooked zucchini noodles as well as lack of flavor is sad, but expected. My advice to this establishment would be; plant based does not mean lack of flavor. Nor does it mean lack of presentation bc my food looked like it was thrown into a box. Very unappealing. Cashew ranch is impressive! Hence my two stars. Would not recommend and won't be coming back.
