My only feedback would be for the ingredients to be on the other menu items like the soup, etc. I had to ask what ingredients were on in all other menu items as the smoothies, juices and smoothie bowls were the only menu items that listed the ingredients. I've been wanting to try ILJB for the longest time and now that I've had it, I could have waited a bit longer. **I'll probably be back to try their food but this review is solely based on their drinks. I got the Berry Good and Very Strawberry and both drinks were about as fulfilling as the 4.5 years I spent in college (*inserts laugh track bc skool sux*). I can understand why they wouldn't add extra sweeteners bc they should live up to their healthy mission but I mean come on dude. For the price they list their drinks at, you'd expect for it to actually be tasty, yet, you're left standing across the street from Muddy's wondering why you didn't spend that money on a cupcake instead and plan the rest of your day rewiring your "healthy" lifestyle while eating a big ass bag of Doritos. I was feeling a little off today so I decided to try something new for me in Memphis that's actually healthy. Their menu looks pretty great and you can tell a revamp happened based on how easy it was to select curbside, order, tip, and pay. The issue I had was when I got to the location, I waited over 10 minutes and no one brought anything out or acknowledged my car there although I tapped the link as asked and receive confirmation that a message was sent to the location. Maybe I wasn't parked in the right spot or maybe I could have called. Either way, I ended up taking too much time waiting and walked in to get it which is fine but wasn't preferred since I was in a rush back to work. Another thing was that I had no idea that the toppings were going to be all the same (strawberries, blueberries, bananas, and oatmeal) so I came back in thinking I had the wrong bowl. I was only told just then that they defaulted to all the same toppings due to COVID. I had no problem eating it but I was a bit confused. For $13 plus tip to equal out around $15, it was really great ingredients and quality - I ate all of it. Just not too sure about the little struggles for a new customer like me to get familiarized or understand how things go. This place is just OK for me for that alone. On our road trip we stopped here for fresh breakfast. I had the fresh green juice, which is indeed really fresh and refreshing and also a smoothie called the doc which was very sweet with a hint of spicy ginger. He had the Coffee Janet which was tasty but not blended well and had chunks of banana and cocoa. He also orders the golden turmeric bowl, it was tasty with overwhelming turmeric taste and smell and had 2 moldy raw cashews as part of it's toppings. We came in today because I was feeling under the weather and I have a bizarre notion after years of living next to a Jamba Juice that smoothies cure illnesses (not really but the placebo effect is real lol). My spouse ordered the dragonfruit smoothie and was informed they were out of dragonfruit powder but they could substitute it. My spouse said okay but was not informed of what they'd be substituting it with. I ordered the CBD smoothie, they were out of CBD and didn't tell me, though it was listed on the menu. We spent $22 plus tip (we both worked service positions so we always tip) for two small smoothies. We were never asked about sizes because I absolutely would have wanted a large. The other things in the store like cookies and nuts were also super low stock. My smoothie was pretty yummy despite missing the CBD but my spouses lacked flavor. 3/19/16 I had to downgrade my rating due to a recent experience. Juice bar wasn't extremely busy today, but steady which I love for midtown. I checked in via the tablet and ordered a smoothie. I then proceeded to wait. I noticed the customer behind me was already at the bar eating her sprout sandwich., and she had her smoothie. So now I'm a little confused. But I say nothing and I wait some more. I make eye contact with the person that took my order, still noting. But hey I'm a patient gal so I wait and wait. I work nights and my mind tends to wonder. Lets just say I come up with some not so great ideas sometimes....but going on a 3 day juice detox was epic! The Juice Bar in Cooper Young was close to my home and had amazing reviews. Their website was informative and super easy to navigate. Before paying the 42.00 for day 1 of my clense I decided to pop in and give the juice a trial run. They open at 7 am and I was one of the first customers of the day. I opted for a 16oz juice called We Got The Beet, I'm trying to boost my hemo so this was a perfect fit for me. WGTB is a delicious mix of beet/carrot/apple/ginger/lemon. The ginger and lemon really stand out and it's super refreshing. I also got an oil shot, they have many options and I decided on the Slim and Sassy which is supposed to help with appetite control and jump start the metabolism. I believe the shot is a mix of lemon/grapefruit/mint/cayenne(maybe). My juice and oil shot was around 12 bucks and I was out in 10 mins tops! I couldn't believe that juice actually kept my full until I had a late lunch that day. My mood was great and I felt really great. Remember 16 Oz is a huge amount, they also offer 8 Oz as well l which is 7.00 Totally amped for my juice cleanse I came back the next morning ready to order my journey. If you decide to bring your own mason jars it's 36.00 for 6 juices. I got the juice and jars so it was 42.00 I'm not doing a total liquid clense so I'm able to drink my 6 juices in 2 days. You can look online and decide witch juice options are best for you but I was pleased with my selection. I haven't had a juice that I didn't like. The mason jars are good quality and I can use them Friday when I go back for my next round of juice. They even give you the cutest compartmentalized carrying bag that holds up to 6 jars. I was pretty excited to hear that a new juice and smoothie bar would be opening in midtown because sometimes the thought of traveling to Sanderlin for a smoothie leaves me making bad choices (I'm looking at you, pizza!). I visited shortly after ILJ opened and have returned a few times, so my review is long overdue. They offer smoothies, juice, and a quick grab section. Grab and go juice isn't really my thing when I can wait a few minutes to have it made, but my friend bought one and loved it. I've had the classic Green Smoothie and the Smooth Beet and they were both pretty good with no grassy aftertaste. I was especially impressed with the Smooth Beet because I hate beets, but the flavors were all complimentary -- sweet and tangy. The grab and go wraps also always look good. I walked in today at 4:58pm not knowing that their hours of operation had changed because it was not posted online. I saw a customer leave the parking lot before I pulled in so I thought it was ok to go in and grab a quick smoothie. I walked in and I was met by 3 (possibly 4) staff members yelling at me saying, "OH NO!! We are closed. We literally JUST CLOSED." I was then chased out (I was not resistant.. I just nodded.. in shock at the yelling and began to leave) by a staff member who screamed their regular hours of operation would be in place on Monday morning. Honestly? The front patio can be a little awkward, since it's so close to Cooper and white people on bikes are often alarmed of a black person drinking smoothies. Not the restaurant's fault. They have plenty of smoothies, and most are standard mixes: matcha this, fruity that, superfood sprinkles, or soul seasonings. What makes these smoothies great is that the fruit is fresh! Their team is extremely nice. I've only experienced employee rudeness once which I believe was just a result of only one perpetually angry opener and an exhausted post-workout version of myself being there before they opened (but their door being propped open). read more

I'm so glad a juice bar opened up in midtown Memphis (now I don't have to go all the way down to Sanderlin to get my juice fix)! First off - I don't like my smoothies too sweet, so this was quite perfect (the pineapple stood out a ton, adding to that sweetness). The consistency was perfect. The small size was substantial for the price, and this drink is really what makes me want to keep coming back despite the fact that I have my own juicer. I did peruse through the entire menu and I was surprised that the juice prices weren't too high, which is great. I also liked that they offer a few different kinds of shots and some snacks. I would, though, love to see some more food items on their menu. Another cool thing - they have juice growlers! For ~$24 you can fill up a 64oz growler with your choice of juice!!
