As I was forced away from the mountains and on my way back to civilization, I found the solution to make the transition less painful: caffeine. Caffeine from one of those cute little coffee huts/kiosks that crop up in the middle of somewhere, anywhere, and nowhere but where they offer coffee, tea, coffee drinks, smoothies, and lots of flavor add-ons. It was beckoning to me and I couldn't resist. Glad I didn't.
The barista was funny, translated my run-on sentence without a single WTH are you talking about look and then presented me with an almost perfect counter to my back-to-the-gulag lethargy.
