Whether it's their national team handling anything and everything I need, or visiting my local branch--which is never too busy--the experience is seamless. Clients are moved through quickly, and the managers are genuinely engaged and willing to help. That's not always the case at other banks, where sometimes managers will only assist clients above a certain net worth. Everyone at Chase seems happy, professional, and genuinely helpful. My eldest brother passed away in January of this year from cancer while living in California. I'm residing in NJ and having been flying out to wrap up his estate. While in the process of taking care of his affairs, received a letter from Wells Fargo about renewing his safety deposit box. This was news to me because he did his banking with Bank of America. Which I would rate a 4 for the way they helped me. I contacted the division of estate planning at Wells Fargo and filled out all the appropriate paper work (beginning of April) and they said I just then needed to mail in a payment for a locksmith to open the box, and then they would send me the contents,. I did send the check and along with the payment a letter to the Bank Manager and asked for him to reach out to me once received. I have not heard back from the gentleman, called 4-5 times, emailed and have called back estate planning office and they have tried to reach the manager to no avail. At this point I figured this might help. I would like to finish this because it's difficult dealing with this and just would hope that when they say sorry for your loss, that actually meant something. If someone could reach out and help me, I would greatly appreciate it.

Bank of Marin will not credit my account immediately. Have to go through hoops by visiting branch and signing papers. This was their mistake and they're making me run around in circles. Without my knowledge or permission, Bank of Marin put a freeze on my account. Bill pays to creditors were halted. Personnel (who used to be great) are rude, unhelpful and blamed me for making 2 payments to PayPal and "forgetting" one of them. What BS! Blaming the customer for their problem. Don't bank here.

We've been using this branch casually for 15 years, but more now since we have kids and have opened them accounts, and debit cards and all the things that happen as they turn into teens (currency exchange for a program abroad). Sani was knowledgeable, efficient, and pleasant to work with. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is that, I mean, they're a bank, not a Michelin-starred restaurant.

My husband went inside to cash the check while I walked our rescue Husky. She is a vocal girl. Immediately, Ly was out with treats and invited us inside. I was amazed. Stan took care of cashing the check and was so personable and professional. He and our son went to high school together. It was like a mini-reunion. Another woman came in and I offered to take my dog outside, but Ly made the woman very comfortable in a cubicle away from us. I spent my entire career in banking and never witnessed such genuine care for people by branch personnel. They are fantastic.

I had to go in person as I had spent months trying to activate my ATM card, trying to activate from home -calling into automation, but always says, "sorry we are having difficulties right now" -the difficulties never went away! Calling into Customer Service many times~ put me in a circle of - "you do not have an ATM card for that account"-uh, yes I do! You sent it to me- I am holding it w/same number as when it was Bank of the West. Finally- called into a local physical bank-& drove to closest location. The guy was super nice but like, had to wait a bit for this one person-who solved the situation. Most people would not be this patient. The bad reviews make a lot of sense. This is people's money- and hard to consider doing business with a bank that is not staffed with enough "real personnel" on the phones & in person.

A standup robber walked into B of A Greenbrae branch thru the backdoor last week and took a bunch…read moreof the bank's cash money. There were no standup guys who robbed my account there sometime ago. He/she/they did it all through the backdoor of the internet - It's called "identity theft" and among fraud investigators mine was called "complete account take-over." They used my social security number. Perhaps you recall news reports of millions of social security numbers being lost on laptops left in taxi-cabs (ho-ho, sure). When huge collections of SS numbers are liberated, they are traded wholesale over the internet. Eventually they find their way to electronic fraud artists, mostly in the garden spots of the former workers' paradise of eastern europe (Belarus, Ukraine, Rumania). These entrepreneurs check-out the financial accounts linked to the SS numbers until they find one that fits their fraud business model. So, why me? Well, they found I had a large unused line of credit (one of those home equity stand-by things) , and set to work on it, draining 6-figures very quickly. This upset me. At about the same time that i noticed "anomalies" in my account,, B of A's Fraud Department was busy interceptiing the transfer of my funds out of the U.S. banking system. Even so, $9,700 got away overseas. B of A recovered that portion from the last US Bank to touch it on its way away. B of A fraud dudes and local branch folks gave me an immediate telephone assurance that they guaranteed the whole amount of the fraud, and sent it again in writing later the same day. And the Bank did just that. I suppose you could finance a nice vacation on the Black Sea for $9700. But, uh, that was not my problem. I spent my time with the branch folks, delinking my account's access from my social security number, cancelling overdraft protection, and other stuff too secret to reveal here. Since your social security number might also be chattle in the great internet marketplace, you might want to do some of this yourself.
