In dealing with the estate of a family member who recently passed, we've been dealing with multiple banks in the area, and have found Bank of Marin to be reliable, kind, clear, responsive, and incredibly easy to work with. They've made it possible for our family to navigate a complicated financial process, and we've decided that we will absolutely be using them for our banking needs going forward. Staff Yessica was particularly helpful, and very patient and kind in addressing my millions of questions. I highly recommend Bank of Marin.

Seriously seems like a tough time for banks - let me think who has great customer service still…read more. it'd be someone much bigger than BMO and this one branch I am really questioning their problems of phone center, automation of non human service (AI) is going to keep people quitting them. I had to go in person as I had spent months trying to activate my ATM card, trying to activate from home -calling into automation, but always says, "sorry we are having difficulties right now" -the difficulties never went away! Calling into Customer Service many times~ put me in a circle of - "you do not have an ATM card for that account"-uh, yes I do! You sent it to me- I am holding it w/same number as when it was Bank of the West. Finally- called into a local physical bank-& drove to closest location. The guy was super nice but like, had to wait a bit for this one person-who solved the situation. Most people would not be this patient. The bad reviews make a lot of sense. This is people's money- and hard to consider doing business with a bank that is not staffed with enough "real personnel" on the phones & in person.

Bank of Marin will not credit my account immediately. Have to go through hoops by visiting branch and signing papers. This was their mistake and they're making me run around in circles. Without my knowledge or permission, Bank of Marin put a freeze on my account. Bill pays to creditors were halted. Personnel (who used to be great) are rude, unhelpful and blamed me for making 2 payments to PayPal and "forgetting" one of them. What BS! Blaming the customer for their problem. Don't bank here.

Then, she briefly apologized only to spend more time making excuses for her behavior than she had spent briefly apologizing. When I asked her to calm down, she berated me for making her late for something as if she hadn't just been insanely violent. After I threatened to take legal action, she went around telling everybody that I threatened her, and, she lied about her violent outburst, so now I'm not welcome there.
