Delicious Chinese food? Maybe. Highly Instagrammable? YOZZZZZZ.
Although I may not have rave reviews for Popo Teahouse, I already know that adding photos of their wall of cute bobblehead cats and pink interior will attract 1,000,000 of my fellow basic B's to this place. That said, I don't feel too bad in admitting that the food doesn't taste more than A-Ok. The prices were reasonable and it was overall a really fun place to hang out and admire the great ambiance, noodle making process, and of course those cats. The staff were kind, too, so want to factor that in!
Another thing that might make me a little more biased is that dim sum grease is my lifeblood, and I typically eat the stuff all around San Francisco where it's done really well. That said, come in to try the dim sum and stay for the cool vibe. Visiting Boracay is all about relaxing, after all. read more
