I would give this restaurant 3.5 stars.
Sea Breeze Cafe is an ocean front buffet restaurant attached to the Henann Regency, which is where we stayed. We had breakfast included in our rate so are here every morning and also tried their dinner buffet on our last night here.
This is an open restaurant with fans so lots of mosquitoes at night. Also, be wary of smokers.
For breakfast - solid buffet with various choices in American and Asian hot items. There is an omelet station, various meats, cold cuts, different breads, 6 types of juices, cereals and fruits. There are also about 10 different types of hot dishes, varying from noodles to pork adobo to chicken as well as congee with various toppings. The hot dishes change a bit here and there but for the most part stay the same. I believe they charge 400+ pesos for the breakfast to outside guests.
For dinner - this is where they have the famous dancing chefs, who come out twice a nice and dance to popular K-pop songs. The buffet costs 793 pesos for adults and my son, who is 4, was free, and in house guests receive a 10% discount. There are various hot dishes, as well as a hot plate station, steak and seafood (crabs, clams, mussels and shrimp) station, various desserts including ice cream and halo halo do it yourself. Drinks are not included and cost extra. The reason why I gave this 3.5 stars is because of the seafood. They are not fresh. The shrimps were pasty and not "bouncy" - fresh shrimp has a bite and these were just mushy. The crabs were plentiful BUT minuscule and not fresh. It is to be expected, I suppose, that at a buffet it would not be as fresh, however I would've thought being an island we could expect better quality.
A big disappointment during dinner time as we were looking forward to some good seafood. read more
