Authentic Filipino restaurant delivering world class service , both food and cultural experience . This is a must place to dine and to chill when in Boracay. My wife and I had an amazing dining experience where we had a feast of Filipino food that are regional. Service is exceptional and the ambiance embodies the traditional and modern Filipino style. Will definitely come back here again.

Food was ok. Not very impressed by the fancy presentation. The place was unique as it is designed to be a precolonial Spanish architecture with lots of wood, capital windows and balustrades furnished with wooden furniture. Very nostalgic of an old Filipino home during the turn of the 20th century. For me it's a bit overhyped and expensive for what you get.

One of the best meals we had during our trip to Boracay! The dancing during our meal was a great surprise and a treat. I've never had squid ink palabok before so I decided to try it. My only regret is that it's not available anywhere where I live! My wife enjoyed her salmon. Not a single morsel was left behind on our plates. If you're looking for a meal that gives you some cultural significance, SUBO is the place.

Opens in the evenings only. Restaurant looks like an actual PI old style house with wooden structures and furniture. Service was perfect. Food was flavorful. Food presentation was on point. Portion was big. It's was inky 3 or us and we ordered 5 different things to try. We didn't realize how big the portions were. Could have fed up to 6ppl as we had leftovers. One CON: mosquitos! Bring your bug repellent or wear it before coming here or you won't enjoy your dinner.

The food was excellent and the service was incredibly friendly and for Filipino standards efficient. The restaurant is pretty open air. The dining room doesn't have doors and the walls are nice warm wooden panels and stained glass. The dishes are all made for sharing and the presentation is very well done. At 7:30 there is also a little show. More kitschy than anything. But still pleasant. Recommendations: Kimilaw (ceviche), butterfly chicken, Papaya salad. All excellent.

Bloody amazing. Mosquitos, tho. But the food and ambiance (carefully curated filipino vintage) were lovely.

I love that almost everything is served with Calamansi on the side for that fresh squeeze of citrus. When we return to Boracay, we are going to return to Gerry's. Lots of delicious food for a very reasonable price. You can't beat that. Made our vacation much more enjoyable knowing we found this treasure.

The star for me was the grilled bangus with onion-egg-white salad, which paired perfectly with the garlic fried rice. Drinks like the calamansi juice and sago gulaman were pleasantly nostalgic -- a bit sweet for my taste but easily fixed with extra ice. The crispy pata was flavorful though not as crackling as I hoped, and the kare-kare leaned too creamy and missed that nutty peanut punch. Service was excellent, which made the meal enjoyable despite higher prices compared with years past. One downside: takeout options are limited unless you pay extra for microwave-safe containers -- otherwise your food comes in paper bags, which isn't ideal. Overall, a satisfying trip down memory lane with a few minor misses; I'd come back for the bangus and friendly service.

First review: This is one of our favorite places to go on Boracay, if you're in the Bulabog Beach area. It's super chill and relaxing right on the beach. We've been here 3 times already in the past 2 days, so that says something. There are a variety of seating options, at the bar, low top, high top, and even right off the side walk if you want to people watch. The food is good and for a reasonable price. Staff are very warm and welcoming, even getting tips on scuba diving. We went there for breakfast, lunch and dinner! I had the Filipina Cornsilog for breakfast - corned beef, two sunny side eggs, and garlic rice. Not my usual breakfast, but it was good and it came with a side fruit and pressed coffee (tea or juice options as well). I was looking forward to the Tapsilog, but they ran out. My bf had the frittata and he thoroughly enjoyed it. As for lunch, I had ordered the spicy garlic shrimp and a grilled chicken sandwich for the man. One point with the shrimp and it was finger lick'n good! It came with seven shrimp and it was enough as an appetizer. The sandwich was devour in record time! He loved it and already said he's going to get it again tomorrow. And for dinner, I had the pork liempo (pork belly) soy-infused served with rice. My bf enjoyed a grilled vegetable sandwich just as much as the grilled chicken. We'll be coming back for sure!
