I really wanted Filipino food so we stopped by Mesa Filipino moderne which is a restaurant at Hennan. First, the ambiance there was great. It's right by the beach and open air so it was nice place to have lunch. Service was OK. Not the best but way better than many places in the Philippines. The food is amazing here. We got 2 appetizers which was the rolls and baked scallops. We also got 2 main dishes: pork/chicken adobo and kare kare. And we also got sisig rice! All the food was well done and if you're craving Filipino food, then this is the place to go!

Modern Phil's kitchen with typical meals like Blue Merlin Fish. Other meals are influenced by Asian and European kitchen. The quality of the Food was very good. The taste was good, but not very good! For 5 Stars the meal should be more complex and outstanding. The price value is good. It's on the higher range on this Island. But you get a very good quality. The dining area is on the beach. You have a nice view there.

There is a lot of restaurant here in boracay. What catch my eye is they have a lot of interesting food in there menu. All looks yummy and I wanted to order all of them. Overall all the food is good. I would recommend it to someone who wanted to try filipino food in BORACAY. A big plus is the ambiance. Restaurant is facing the beach, looks fancy but the price is good!

And to cleanse our pallet Rod are server offered us their in-house Lemongrass Tea, which was a perfect way to end our dinner. It is unfortunate that we didn't get to try their dessert, for their meal serving are so humongous that my tummy didn't have space for it. Ambiance is so spot on, definitely not pretentious, very low key and inviting. Shout out to the friendly staff, most especially to Rod our server, very knowledgeable not just about this restaurant but also their sister restaurants as well, like Little Taj, Muchos and Island Izakaya. Thanks Rod, you're truly an asset to the restaurant. We appreciate you . One last thing, a picture of our food wood have done justice to this lengthy but important review, However, we were famished that we forgot to take a picture of their delectable food. I guess you just have to take my word for it .

The restaurant is trendy looking, with chalk board wall displays and greenery. We ordered cocktails, and the purple pina colada was amazing! For appetizers, we got the sticky pork ribs and the tuna rolls. The sticky pork ribs were delicious; best thing we tried! We also had the fish & prawn curry and the bao sliders. We thought both were pretty good! The curry was very tasty! The mango sticky rice was fine. And I enjoyed a cinnamon roll. We thought it was a nice place for dinner. It was a little overhyped but still worth checking out.

Haha they took that off the menu this time and my GF found the little people so cute so we had to try them again. The service here is great , they don't forget about you after they sit you down. they love photo opts and being on your Instagram. The plates come as soon as they are ready one after the other. They have live music like 3 or 4 hours per night, and would do a Happy Birthday song with the cake if you arrange it. The prices are Boracay so expect like $20 to $30 per person, the food is good and the only place I think they fall short is on the desserts,

The food was honestly very disappointing. As someone who grew up in the Philippines and only…read morerecently moved abroad, I found the prices ridiculously expensive for such small portions. We ordered the salpicao, chicken steak, fries, burger, nachos, calamari and wings, and unfortunately, not a single dish impressed us. Everything was underwhelming, especially considering the price. I honestly don't think this is a place that most everyday Filipinos would regularly dine at, given the pricing and portion sizes. It seems more catered toward Western tourists. On a positive note, the service was excellent. The staff were attentive, friendly, and welcoming, and the ambiance was really nice. Unfortunately, good service and a nice atmosphere can only make up for so much. The food was easily the most disappointing I've had since returning to the motherland. I've had significantly better meals in the Philippines for a fraction of the price. Overall, definitely not worth the money, and I wouldn't come back for the food. One thing I genuinely hope is that the restaurant pays its employees fairly. I had a conversation with one of the staff members, who mentioned that they don't earn very much. Considering how expensive the food is, I really hope the management provides better wages and fair treatment to its employees. If there's one thing this restaurant can genuinely be proud of, it's its employees. They deserve to be valued, respected, and compensated fairly, especially when they're the ones making an otherwise disappointing experience enjoyable.

*** 9/5/22 update For the two weeks we have been in Boracay,…read morewe have been here 15+ times for breakfast, lunch, and dinner!! Love the food, the people, and vibe! First review: This is one of our favorite places to go on Boracay, if you're in the Bulabog Beach area. It's super chill and relaxing right on the beach. We've been here 3 times already in the past 2 days, so that says something. There are a variety of seating options, at the bar, low top, high top, and even right off the side walk if you want to people watch. The food is good and for a reasonable price. Staff are very warm and welcoming, even getting tips on scuba diving. We went there for breakfast, lunch and dinner! I had the Filipina Cornsilog for breakfast - corned beef, two sunny side eggs, and garlic rice. Not my usual breakfast, but it was good and it came with a side fruit and pressed coffee (tea or juice options as well). I was looking forward to the Tapsilog, but they ran out. My bf had the frittata and he thoroughly enjoyed it. As for lunch, I had ordered the spicy garlic shrimp and a grilled chicken sandwich for the man. One point with the shrimp and it was finger lick'n good! It came with seven shrimp and it was enough as an appetizer. The sandwich was devour in record time! He loved it and already said he's going to get it again tomorrow. And for dinner, I had the pork liempo (pork belly) soy-infused served with rice. My bf enjoyed a grilled vegetable sandwich just as much as the grilled chicken. We'll be coming back for sure!
