    Is this $41?!?!! I absolutely don't think so. They need to get it together. Especially two of them (male and female).

    The absolute worst location. Tonight this establishment proved exactly how incompetent and unprofessional they truly are. I ordered (1) Spicy chicken sandwich combo with a large frozen strawberry lemonade ($16.99) (2) 3pc classic chicken tender combos both with cokes. A side of fries and a regular drink. Order was repeated back to me just like that. I get to the window just for them to tell me I only ordered 1 spicy chicken sandwich combo and 1. 3pc tender combo and only 3 drinks. With the receipt to reflect that order! BUT CHARGED MY CARD $41!!!!! THEN PROCEEDED TO TELL ME (after I told them they scammed me out of my money) THEY CANNOT DO A REFUND BECAUSE THEY DONT HAVE A MANAGER AND ARGUED WITH ME THAT THEY GAVE ME WHAT IS ON THE RECEIPT!! One of the male workers really said "ma'am is the receipt lying or am I lying" and I replied "BOTH!" The craziest part is on the receipt it says 1 SPICY CHICKEN SANDWICH COMBO 1 3PC TENDER COMBO AND 1 REGULAR FRIES $41!?!?!?!?!?!?!? I'll be calling again and showing up if I have to in order to get my money back!! Popeyes in Poughkeepsie once again is the absolute worst location and they will try and scam you out of your money by not putting your order correctly on the receipt but charging your card for the original amount!! Disgusting behavior and (Some) disgusting staff who need to speak correctly. Highly will NEVER recommend or spend my money there again.

    This was the worst Popeyes experience ever. I'm not looking for a 5 star experience, but this spot was worse than any Popeyes I've been to. And I've been to Popeyes in the worst neighborhoods of NYC. You must enter the drive thru with caution. The over filled trash bins and litter throughout the parking lot are a feeding ground for these large ravens. The menu board is not only missing pricing, this location is missing items being promoted and Popeyes staples as well. They are promoting the "Surf & Turf". After ordering it, the cashier informs me that they are out of shrimp. It's only 3pm. By his laughter, it was obvious that he found it amusing that they were already out of the promotional item. Well, I guess these things happen. So I order my normal 3 piece chicken combo. The cashier asked me numerous times what my side order. He then says, "Oh, I already hit that button." When asked what drink, I ordered a Diet Coke. The cashier laughs and says that they don't have any Diet Coke either. He then begins to laugh again. At this point, I canceled my order. Again, I have been to several Popeyes locations throughout the country. This was the worst experience at any of them. Fix your menu board and include the pricing. Clean out the trash bins, drive thru and parking lot. Train your staff to provide quality customer service.

    I waited to have lunch here today a bit later than the noontime rush - I'd driven past this Popeye's during rush hour a while back, and the drive-thru line was backed up into the left lane of 44/55 arterial traffic eastbound, and it was backed up from the other entrance from Main Street too. Even after 1pm on a weekday, the drive-through was still busy. The food is good - it's Popeye's (if you like it then you know), though it does feel like with your combos you get a little less for a little more these days (a 3-piece white meat combo has 2 wings; didn't it used to include 1 thigh and 1 wing?). The cole slaw is a bit creamier with larger chunks of cabbage (sounds cost-cutting to me). But these are issues at the corporate level, not this specific business. What they need to do is get a little better organized. I could not believe the number of people working (perhaps some people in training), and it looked like they needed as much traffic direction behind the counter as on 44/55. Evidently you are supposed to order on the left and pick up on the right, but there are no signs saying so, and the cluster of poles that would normally be set up to direct a flow of customers were just that - clustered - in the middle. So you have a lot of people mixed together in the same line trying to order or pick up. I ordered at the exact same time as another friend, who was ordering from the other register - my meal came out quite a bit later. But I will say this - as soon as there were no customers at the counter, EVERYONE here pitched in to tidy up, by straightening, washing, sweeping, restocking - whatever needed to be done. So... they've got a bit of work to do here, but this is STILL much better than no Popeye's in the area!

    I have mixed feelings about this location ... the food was okay but the business etiquette left much to be desired. The first time I arrived the line was incredibly long due to everyone wanting a chicken sandwich and because the parking situation is not great it made it challenging to be in the drive thru safely, so we left. On another occasion (trying to get the chicken sandwich) we decided to stop by it was about 6pm I think and when we pulled up there was a lady outside yelling to the cars that they ran out of chicken, it was closed and all the chicken left was frozen. Very interesting. So again we left lol. On another occasion (we are the persistent of sorts) we decided to try again. This time there was no line (the hype for the sandwich has died down) and we were able to place our order with a nice lady assisting and enjoyed our sandwich. I thought it was good my only complaint was that it was not super hot. I like mine to feel very fresh like it just came out of the fryer but I think mine had been sitting for a bit. But it was good and fries were hot. Ironically... I would go back.

    Ordered a Classic Chicken Sandwich Combo and the chicken doesn't even cover 1/2 the bun!

Very friendly and helpful. I guess I got what I was expecting when it came to the food. Chicken wasn't that great and basic fries for an unrealistic price. Adding spray painted walls and loud music wasnt doing and anything to enhance the experience. This is a fast food location, not a restaurant. I think these places calling themselves restaurants are false advertising to try to charge people like they are actually getting restaurant quality. Long story short, I can say I tried it and won't be going back. This review is in no means a reflection of the wait staff. They did their jobs fine. Its just the poor typical business model that will cause this fast food change to down the same path as most that are no longer here in Dutchess County.

On the first bite, the chicken cutlet burned my mouth in the best way possible. The tomatoes and honey mustard tied it all together and made it incredibly satisfying. I could only eat half because it was such a heavy sandwich. My dad finished the other half and shared the same appreciation for a really good panini. The next time I am working nearby, I know exactly where I am going, and I will definitely be trying the cannoli and the black and white cookies. 5 out of 5 stars.
