ok I'm just going to review the food. it's a new location so the staff has to get up to speed. I ordered the eight piece chicken meal, classic not the spicy. I wanted to compare it to KFC. Well the coating on the chicken was very bland and thin, while the chicken was fine the coating wasn't. sort of like corn flakes. KFC wins hands down, maybe the spicy chicken is better. s The sides were fine mashed potatoes and coleslaw. you only get one side included and pay for a second. biscuits were a little better then KFC still dry but more tasty. read more

Horrible portion size and packaging. I will never order from this place again. Small dipping containers for my combo meal. Food prob would have been good if I could have had a couple bits to actually taste it. read more

let's start with the dry cold chicken tenders, the cold bland fries and the missing items from my order.... THEN WE CAN DISCUSS THE LACK OF ACCOUNTABILITY AT THIS LOCATION. these kids are not properly supervised so they are not doing what corporate has mandated all employees to do when in uniform at their location. It's a hangout, not a business. They are not putting receipts in the bags so that they can hide their attempts to keep your missing items from your order. WILL NEVER PATRONIZE THIS ESTABLISHMENT AGAIN. NEEDS A COMPLETE OVERHAUL. PERIOD ! smh read more

Had a shortage on food..but did replace but in terms of value it was not satisfactory but the thought was good service worthy. Overall it's just not worth the drive. read more

Went last night and my order was wrong. I ordered mashed potatoes and they gave me fries. Minor issue because the fries were really good, but I was missing 2 biscuits and 4 out of the 5 pieces of chicken were very dry. I'll stick with KFC read more

Just tried Popeyes after their move from Pleasant street, and I was disappointed. I ordered a 3 piece meal, spicy, with red beans and rice, and a Dr Pepper. When I went to get my drink, all that came our was clear carbonated water. When I got my order, the red beans were more like a liquid, without real solid substance. The taste was adequate. However my 3 piece meal, had somehow turned into 4 strips, and spicy at all. I realize it's a new location, but overall, the service was slow, they clearly weren't communicating with each other (the person who delivered my order knew the DP wasn't working) and the food quality is suffering. I hope the next time I try it, things will have improved. read more

Popeyes has the best fried chicken sandwich in my opinion. Service is not quick, but their fried chicken is excellent for fast food. The place is clean to stay for nice. read more

Amazing customer service, efficient and friendly. The staff is amazing. The food was completely fresh made to order. The business was clean.

This place sucks they never have anything on the full menu always messing up orders terrible service I have no clue how they're still in business after all these years read more

Completely unprofessional. Can't get our orders right, even ordered through DoorDash and it was over an hour & a half wait so we had to cancel it. It's a shame how slow and unprofessional they are. I understand it's in the hood, but enough is enough. How is this place still up and running. read more

these people, I don't know where they get them from. They cannot follow simple instructions. sometimes a chicken taste old and other times it's cold by the time it gets here. Popeyes needs to stop hiring illiterate people that can't read instructions. I pay for sauces that I never get. read more

Friendly manager and staff, little bit of a wait on the food. Order the chicken sandwiches and they were up front about the wait. Sandwiches were great. Sort of an odd location without a drive thru. With Covid the waiting area should be opened up a little bit as a large section is shutdown due to Covid and the rest rooms are closed as well. read more

My first time in this town and also in this restaurants location. I got the chicken strips as a meal. Sucks that they don't have gravy for free, which they probably should cause I don't see why it shouldn't since you are already buying the meal they should just give it to the customers. But, whatever! I don't really go to this restaurant that often. Taste wise , the chicken is really flavorful and crispy. The strips I got was good and tender. The outside was also crispy. Too bad I don't have rice to go with it. But I like rice with everything lol The thing that threw me off was the iced tea. I asked for half lemonade and half iced tea but they had the tea inside. I ended up just having a sip and I couldn't drink it anymore. read more

I wouldn't let these people feed the homeless. The food is actually good sometimes but the service in management and owner are horrible. Wouldn't even go there to use the bathroom. read more

Today I went to talk to the store manager about a error with a previous order The manager was very helpful and respectful about my issue, and He has restored my belief in customer service my order was corrected amd He personally handled my next order I thank him and will be a good customer of this store because of his actions. And today I had some of the best take out chicken that I have had for some time. read more

I met for the first time a new employee by the name of Chris. He bout soul and smiles to the atmosphere as this is exactly what this place needed. He greeted customers and was extremely attentive. He asked questions and even made suggestions. He made a sauce out that had me and another customer licking our fingers because that's how good it was. This place has struggled to meet even the minimal expectations to making a customer happy. The wait time was ridiculous and at times the chicken was not cooked to standards. The employees was rude and very ignorant. Multiple occasions even food delivery services would wait over 30 mins for an order. The reason for my 5 star rating today is because Chris is a great example of a model employee and this is what this place needed. #that's access #100 read more

First time back to Popeye's since they reopened and so very disappointed! Went at lunch time and got the big box - Chicken was just ok, Fries were cold and soggy, Biscuits used to be awesome, but no longer, now flat and leave a shortening taste in your mouth, the coleslaw was warm and had a tainted taste. The staff had a give a damn attitude and acted as if you were bothering them for being there. No more Popeye's!! read more

If I could leave a 0 I would. Where do I begin. The customer service is the Worst I've ever seen. They never smile or greet you. They all just stand around and look like they don't know what to do. The manager Jessica is horrible. she's cocky, looks mean and disgusted when she takes care of customers. She has No personality. I even tried to talk to her and make her laugh or even crack a smile. Chris, is nice and good to the customers. Other than him, everything and everyone in this place is disgusting. Honestly, I love the chicken, but because of the rudeness and uncaring behavior from the staff, I'll think twice...I'd rather drive an hour away to another location. I'm sure I'd be taken care of the right way. It's so bad, that I think they should close this location down, and teach them how to act normal! read more

Much better than Kentucky Fried rat. Glad to see they reopened a bit of it out of my way to go to New Bedford. The chicken isn't greasy like Kentucky fried chicken. read more

If I could give a place no stars I would. This place literally never has any other chicken besides bone in, the soda machine is always broken, they're usually out of most sides and if you go in after 6 and ask for anything else other than bone in chicken they won't make it (they close at 10:30 mind you) Overall this location sucks read more

Popeyes - Fall River - last time I went here you could not order because they did not have any gloves. Decided after a couple months to try again because I was in the area. This time they did not have any chicken. No really the chicken place had no chicken. They must have serious financial issues. There will not be a third time. read more

Straight to the point. Painfully slow service. Chicken sandwich had zero flavor and was GMO thick. Absolutely gross blood vessel in the meat, threw it out. Fricking disgusting. First and only time I'll ever go there. read more

I compare fast food restaurants to other similar places. In this case, the only comparison is KFC. In every respect (but drinks), Popeye's is way better than KFC. 1. Larger portions. 2. Better tasting chicken. 3. Better cooked chicken 4. Better Mac & Cheese 5. Better biscuits. 6. Good fries. I would have given them 5*s if it wasn't for the drinks. There is only one drink dispenser. Its the new kind with multiple screens. It took my wife and I a REAL LONG time to figure out how to navigate from screen to screen and find what we wanted. In the end, the machine told me that what I wanted (lemonade) was unavailable, so I started looking all over again, and then it was not clear as to how to get the drink to come out. My wife wanted ice tea and after fumbling with the machine for several minutes, went back to the counter and was told you could not get ice tea from the machine, you had to get it from them. At first I thought our problems with the machine was because we are old farts and this was new technology. However, I watched several other people of various ages and sexes all take 4 times as long to get a drink as it does in other fast food places. I hate to thing what the line at the machine would be like during a busy lunch time. Now that we know the system, it will be much easier to get a drink the next time. read more

Sandwich is really great. Mac n cheese isn't bad either. Service was fine and place was clean. I would go back

In Dartmouth, MA to study and was excited to see a Popeyes in Fall River. Went in to buy a promo combo with 14pcs chicken+ 2lrg sides + 7 biscuits. This got a 1 star because well I couldn't give it 0 but one good thing was that the coupon didn't work on the app but the cashier gave me the deal anyways which I was appreciative for. However, when I checked the box of chicken back in Dartmouth it was all old pieces and 2 had raw fat. Threw the box away! sides were ok. WASTE OF MONEY! $24 for 2 lrg sides and 7 biscuits! I don't drive and was just in Fall River with a friend so couldn't go back and return the chicken. Such bullshit! I saw so many newly fried chicken at the store so I didn't check the box at the store! didn't know that I would get all the old ones! so disappointed! I love Popeyes is Toronto and ordered a bucket at least twice a month but I won't be buying Popeyes in the US anymore or at least for a while- but never again at the Fall River location! horrible! read more

This place smelled of death and homeless people when I walked in. The staff was just leaning around the counter and ignoring all the customers. I took one look and ran. Not to mention there was scary looking guy in a ski mask in the parking lot who looks like he could end me at any time. There was also a sketchy car parked in the very corner with the car lights on and the guy inside was just staring at my partner and me. I have been here before during the day time and it was much better but my most recent experience makes me want to speak up. Staff: daytime staff was nice and friendly, nighttime staff was negligent and useless, hopefully there is a turnover soon Food: the daytime fried chicken is actually very good; fresh, crispy and steaming hot. However the experience at night just drives the number of stars towards 2. Bathroom: dirty read more

My review is more like 3.5 stars, rounded up for good measure. This is a pretty good fast food chain, not to be compared with other chicken joints in the area that are non fast food. It's on a similar level of KFC. The Popeye's of the Northeast are a hard find, so it's pretty special one has graced the Riv. Service is usually poor here. Most of the staff seems put out to help, and sometimes you even get extra sass when you don't deserve it. And usually expect a wait because something usually needs to be fried (which can be more of a good thing, at least the food is fresh). Their chicken is tasty, and their unique sauces are even better. Try to blackened ranch for subtle spice. The sides are also pretty good. Fries are delicious, mashed potatoes are yummy and mac and cheese is good. It is on the pricier side for fast food, but it's worth a try! The inside is really clean and large so seating is never an issue. read more

I love Popeyes always get the chicken sandwich witch is really good but this location has a consistent problem with waiting times I order my food for pickup for 550 pm on a Friday night I get their at 610 not even done yet I had to wait 20 min in line witch isn't too bad but still it should've been ready at the time it said it was they really need to fix the waiting times also they need to stop putting the fries and biscuits at the bottom of the bag it's just lazy like come on read more

To whom it may concern, I visited your fine establishment Monday August 26th, 2019 at 8:06 p.m. I was greeted by a polite young man who informed me and my friend that the restaurant was out of sandwiches. I understood what was happening due to my social media exposure. However, I do not appreciate the server forgetting my biscuit with my order. I ordered a large Cajun rice with mash potato gravy with my meal and I needed the biscuit to soak the residual gravy. The service was great minus the small inconvenience surrounding my forgotten biscuit. My first instinct was to call corporate, but I decided to count this as a human error. However, the Volturi don't give second chances. I will be standing by for an email notification for the next available sandwich. -Marc Deleon read more

Filthy. Absolutely filthy. Rude staff. Slow service. VERY poorly managed. (is there a manager??) And yet...thats not the worst part. This location is hygienically compromised in the food prep area, service counter, and seating areas. Its a poisoning waiting to happen. Trash, dried leftover food, and unsanitary conditions everywhere. Have contacted Corporate "Popeye's" to file a complaint. The Fall River location is a terrible representation of the brand. Will no longer eat at this location. read more

Had the WORST experience at this store today with my husband. We went to get lunch and from the minute we got in and ordered the staff were really rude. We asked for a few sauces as we had a box of chicken and were told we couldn't get more than 1 or we'd have to pay for it we said that's fine if we could have the sauce and we'd go pay for it the woman said no go freakin pay for it than come back me and my husband both told her she didn't have to be rude than she says what one bbq sauce really we said yes pls and she threw it in our bag than went talking crap to the other workers about us. We told her that's not the way you talk to ur customers than the cook from the back came flying out verbally attacking my husband and making threats to him in front of other customers and the manager was right there the whole time and did nothing!!!! Worst place ever will never go back there. This isn't the first time the workers have been super rude either it's all the time. If I could give this place 0 stars I would but it didn't let me so I had to put 1. read more

I had the pleasure of eating lunch here with my sister today in what I thought was a massive, clean and beautiful looking Popeye's. I actually did some research and it was featured and filmed this year on Food Network's Unwrapped and this restaurant is one of the flagship Popeye's to unleash the new branding image, signage and graphics. Seriously, whatever they are doing new image wise is kick butt because for once I was happy to sit inside and eat at a fast food restaurant. Service is great with a lot of people working in the back and well, you can't really argue with Popeye's chicken. It's a chain restaurant but it still kicks the pants off of KFC any day. I believe after the meal, the general manager waved hello to us, and that always gets brownie points from me. Overall, really good vibes in here and like I said earlier, probably the best and cleanest looking Popeye's restaurant I've ever been to. Extremely pleasant experience. Too bad it's in a weird part of Fall River, but this restaurant impressed me so much I'm sure I will be returning. read more

Great and clean place to go to eat....friendly employees.....love the chicken service is very pleasant

Foods very good,I'd say better than kfc,but the service is shitty, slow, and very unfriendly,no one smiled made eye contact,in fact it seemed liked it pained the two girls to even breathe.I think the manager was just getting out and he said hello as he screwed the hell outta there, which was the only sign of customer service.Expect to wait a few as they had limited stuff out, which i guess is a good thing as fresh stuff is being brought out,and the fact that slugs are more happy than the pieces of art that work the front.Happy eating!! read more

I loved the chicken tenders I highly recommend Popeyes. I can definitely say they are better than KFC.

Bought a Family Meal, and the chicken was uncooked. I will never be coming back here again! And I love Popeyes.

I have been going to this restaurant since the day they opened, the food has always been good, kind of pot luck though as to how fresh or hot the food is but 99% of the time would rate it an A+. But that's not my problem, today I order my food and when I ask for my senior discount I'm told by the FOOL behind the counter that they don't give a discount because the money you save by buying a meal is all you get. When I asked him what he meant he said "if you bought everything separately (chicken, side, & biscuit) it would cost much more so buying the meal is the discounted price and they don't discount it further" mind you now you are paying full menu price but he insists that's a discount. Told him I have ALWAYS gotten a discount there every time I go there and he says "well whoever is doing that is wrong" I asked to see the manager and he said that that was him. (kind of doubt that) I really hope he isn't because if that's the way he runs the restaurant it won't be long until they close their doors. read more
