OMG!!! Loving everything about this location! I was super hungry and when hunger sets in it's nothing like a three piece spicy chicken strips dinner from Popeyes. I was so hoping they would deliver a five star experience and if I could give them 10 stars, I most certainly would do so! This restaurant is a free standing building in a shopping center that almost looks like a ghost town as most stores have been closed for years now. I've enjoyed good service here and I've found the staff to be friendly and helpful. I come for the shrimp, and the biscuits and honey. So yummy and hits the spot at a very reasonable price. I saw a guy return an item because he'd been given the wrong side--exhibiting good customer service the worker apologized and let him know that the manager had authorized her to give him two of the side items he had originally ordered. I thought that was handled very well. On my last visit myself and another customer waited a very long time to have our orders taken but I attribute this to the time of day and don't hold it against them. I want to start this by saying we left one crappy Popeyes to try this location since it was 10 minutes away. My wife and I decided to try the fish and shrimp (combo #11) since we were in the mood for some fried seafood. The combo contains two pieces of fish, two handfuls of shrimp, one biscuit and one side (mashed potatoes for us). Overall the food was ok. The shrimp was breaded and seasoned fine, the sauces were good and the mashed potatoes were the best thing in the box. The fish however was small and thin. What bothered me the most about this is that altogether we paid $18.50 for what was very small portions of dry fish which was overpowered by the breading because the fish filets are tiny! Pictures below to show what I mean. Lastly, the customer service (which seems to be Popeyes biggest issue) is lackluster and leaves quite a bit to be desired. Pulling up to the window we had to wait about a minute before saying hello and the person on the other side saying "order when ready". My wife was trying to order the food but kept getting cutoff by the woman on the microphone trying to update us on the status of the fish they had and how long it'd take. While we can appreciate that, we'd also like to be able to tell you what we're ordering. The man at the window when we pulled up didn't tell us our total and they forgot our sauces as well.
