Dr. Nalven is wonderful and truly cares about her patients. The pricing is great and the attention you get doesn't suffer for it.

For a recent visit in May 2026, I made an appointment and, when I showed up at the designated time, I was told there was no record of the appointment, but the veterinary technician said, "We can fit you in." So I was on time for a scheduled appointment, but she was going to "fit me in." I was there in July 2026 for what was supposed to be just a $76. Solensia injection for my senior cat. I arrived more than an hour early, expecting to wait, but the vet technician was ready to take her just a short time later. I said I would like to be with the cat when she received the shot and the vet technician (who is the doctor's wife) said, no, we just take her in the back and give her the injection. I insisted on being with her and the vet technician became agitated and snapped at me, "Well, you can wait for your appointment time then!" She told me that if they were administering an examination, I could be with the cat, but not if she was only getting an injection. So when they brought us in, I wondered why my cat was being examined, when all I did was bring her in for a Solensia injection. She was apparently being given an examination that I never asked for just because I insisted on being with her. After it was all over, I was charged $155. for a Solensia injection plus an examination I never wanted, when all I went in for was the injection for $76. On the way out, after I paid more than twice the cost of the injection alone that I requested, the receptionist said, "See you next month for the Solensia." No, you won't.

Our Westies are our universe, and not only Dr. Denyer, but the entire staff takes care of our puppies as they would their own pets. From the friendly and informative staff we speak with when calling in to make an appointment to the techs initially meeting with you in the exam rooms, every interaction with the staff is a total pleasure. The techs and Dr. Denyer always listen to all of our concerns during our visits, and they handle our guys with love. The interaction and bedside manor that vets have with pets is such an important factor, and everyone here is gentle, careful, and genuinely loving with their patients-- they treat them like their own. These guys are just as great handling the humans that walk in the door. After a visit with Dr. Denyer, with the time and care she takes to explain what's happening, what likely caused it, steps to take to resolve or prevent it happening again-- you feel like you've walked out with at least a minor in veterinary science. She reviews your options, advises best future practices, and if she doesn't know the exact answer to a question, she takes the time to research the issue, and she gets back to you. She also follows up with phone calls after teeth cleanings and surgeries to make sure everything is okay. This woman is a powerhouse of intelligence, capability, and compassion. I tell every single one of my pet owning friends about Dr. Denyer. I've never met anyone else who has the combined compassion, skills, and resources to take care of our West Highlands. This is the absolute best place to bring your pets for any veterinary care.

She cares for them and loves them as much as we do. But her kind, loving ways are not the only reason we go to Pinelands VeterinaryHospital. Dr Denyer is extremely knowledgeable with any issue we've ever had with our dogs. And if she's not familiar with an issue she do research on it and get back to you. We couldn't be happier with her or her wonderful staff. Debbie is always so pleasant and efficient! And Sam is a sweetheart and takes good care of our Harley! There's others I could mention but unfortunately I don't remember everyone's name. You won't be disappointed if you trust Dr Denyer and her staff with your animal!

The staff, the vet tech and the doctor treated my cat Sofia and I with compassion, empathy, kindness and hands down best experience I've had at a vet. They showed me how to administer both medications. 1 in an eye dropper and other inside the cats ear. This is my first Yelp review and they definitely deserve 5 stars. My experience couldn't have went any better thanks to the people working 9/17/26. Ask for Michael Schindewolf if you're not sure is the best advice I can give. Ps Sofia is doing much better!

She almost caused me to poison 1 when she told me to put a full can of pumpkin in each meal. Luckily a friend is a Vet but lives in VA. When I mentioned it's 1 tsp per 10lbs she struggled with why we were there is we had a vet already. Explained a few times she lives states away. Then she accused my fiancé brought a different woman when she first began with our mate brothers, but it was always me as I found them! Very unprofessional. Always need to ask for answers, whether it's an anal gland expression or a serious ear infection. We wanted everyone to be made aware that she is wrong giving advice and can be very sarcastic if you ask a question! Save yourself the nightmare as I did not want to return after her refusing fiancé to hold his dog while being put down. We did see her when we got our rescues and my fiancé witnessed her disrespect and rude responses, trying hard to shame ya if you ask a question! If your pet is considered a family member like ours are, look for a caring and trusting vet elsewhere as we have many we wish we went with first!

I took him to North Star in Brick who were also incredible. I needed a Veterinarian for a follow up appointment and looked on line for surrounding areas. I also needed a night appointment and they had them. The amount of time and understanding and kindness that was shown to Happy was unprecedented! They took into consideration of all his needs and quirks. Literally they got on the floor with him to reassure him he was in good hands! Dr Wes was attentive and answered probably over a dozen questions. He never got annoyed nor did Diana and Brigid. I had asked about clipping his nails . The groomer does it but it is like the WWF! I was talking with the doctor and before I knew it the nails were done. NoTRAUMA FOR HAPPY!!! So thankful for all of you and so thankful HAPPY has a new place he can feel safe at. She and her whole staff is wonderful and always has your animal's best interest in mind. They were always so gentle with our older dog and made the visits as warming and welcoming as possible. Just recently we had to put our 13 year old dog to sleep. Dr. O'rourke and her doctors made the process as pain free as possible for all of us involved. She took great care of our dog and helped her live a passionate, strong life. Not even 2 days later, she sent a handwritten card to us with her condolences, and letting us know that we gave our dog a great life and that we did all we could for her. She was not suffering any longer and it was the most selfless thing we could do. She made a donation in our dog's name to the NJ Veterinary Association. It brought tears to our eyes. The card sits on our shelf right next to our dog's picture. If you want to take your animal to a loving, caring veterinarian, then this is the place for you. If you only want the best for your animals, take them here. We have never ever experienced a problem or rude service here. Everyone here is amazing and they loved our dog as much as we did. I recommend them to everyone.
