I am "old school". Not as old school as the Speed Racer admirers but from the time of Akira and Space Adventure Cobra. I still do see Akira merchandise from time to time and it gladdens my heart to have been there when the film and reading material first came out. Of course there are Pokémon merchandise everywhere and I would have been living under a rock if I didn't know any of them but it also helps to play Pokémon Go in recognizing some characters. Very strict rules about no eating or drinking in the store which I think makes sense and I think overall most stores don't want you in there eating or drinking when you are browsing anyway. Some of the staff really get into the anime and Japanese street clothes culture here which I think is fantastic and a very refreshing change of pace from people going out in public to shop or work in their pajamas. Lots of models, magnets and other things of a souvenir nature but again...I didn't recognize many characters as it's newer anime. They did have some movies and TV shows in a small physical media DVD section I liked. Some candy here which I keep an eye on. I like Hi-Chews but at this point I have tried most of the flavors. Grape being my favorite one but I keep an eye out for different Pocky flavors as there are quite a few I haven't tried but in the case of this store it's the usual flavors you see in most small anime shops, posh import stores and occasional grocery stores.

If you're a teenager into anime, you might like it.
