But there is no charm. The customer service is nonexistent because the people who work there clearly don't want to be working there and aren't very friendly. To make things worse, they don't have a bunch of basics: no gift bags... Seriously? To run a toy store and not sell any assortment of birthday gift bags that we can use to put our gifts in? Also, no balloons. I guess that can be a little bit difficult because you probably need a helium tank, but for a toy store where people are purchasing birthday gifts, no balloons? Anyway, I've been there a few times and have left disappointed and won't be coming back.

However, the vibe has changed over the years and this location feels different than the one in Boston. This one feels more like a gift shop than the nostalgic collectors store that I grew up with. Anyways, got some pop figures for my nephew. They have a large collection. Staff seem friendly. Overall, I always find the stuff in Newbury to be interesting, especially gifting teenagers. Miniso is located on the upper level next to Lucky Brand and Lenscrafters wing entrance is the best entrance. Miniso sells household and consumer goods including plushies, cosmetics, stationery, toys like blind boxes, and kitchenware. They frequently collaborate with Marvel, Mickey and friends, Sanrio, Stitch, and Minions. I like purchasing the blind boxes because I'll never know what I get. Store is very organized, clean, and spacious. It is bigger than the one in Providence. When I checked out, staff were friendly. I purchased a few stationary items.

The enthusiasm and expertise of these wonderful employees can't be overstated. Perhaps they knew that the kids in our neighborhood were stressed out that day and needed some innocent fun; perhaps not.
