Gregs service has been excellent. He is very knowledgeable about pools. My pool is always crystal clear, communication is excellent, and any issues with my equipment are identified and explained right away. Repairs are handled promptly, and I always feel like my pool is being well taken care of. Highly recommend! read more

The communication is awful. I've called three times just to schedule an estimate. The response is...."someone will call you back within 24 hours". That never happened. When I called the third time, shaun hung up the phone on me. read more

Pools by Greg started our new install in mid-May and finished in late October. This was the exact timeline we were given prior to signing with them. Every person sent to my home to do their part of the install was extremely professional. Their pricing was fair and transparent, no surprises. As a matter of fact, more sod was needed than was included in the contract and installed at no extra cost to me. Every question I had along the way was handled with the utmost respect and diligence. Their customer service was second to none. I highly recommend this company. read more

In 2001 I had Pools by Greg construct my first pool. Their service back then was awesome. After selling my home I moved into a new house. After several years we decided to have a pool constructed in 2020-2021. With due diligence I had several quotes from other local establishments, which included Greg. We wound up going with Greg. Joanna, our sales rep was awesome. Her candor was extremely appreciated. From receptionist up to ownership they have been responsive to us - the design was exactly what we wanted. They subcontracted The Porch Factory to complete the enclosure and watched over their progression. Jason has been the on-site manager for Greg and quite frankly, I couldn't ask for a better person to act as a liason. The working staff has been professional as the craftsmanship is impeccable. The job is nearing completion and I can't really say anything less about my satisfaction. Jason was the on-site foreman - he was awesome, the workers were awesome. Five-Stars!!! read more

If you are thinking about getting a pool, DO NOT USE POOLS BY GREG; they are a total scam. I have cracks all over my deck, which they said were not under warranty, but they would come out to see how much it would cost to fix. Then my salt chlorinator went out after a year, and the company they use sucks. I literally had to fight for over a month to get this fixed. After all my phone calls and bitching they finally fixed it, but I was told, since they did it to be nice, that it wouldn't be covered under warranty anymore. Next, there was a leak near the pump, which they said was not in warranty, so I paid to have someone fix that. Both my LED lights went out, and I was told the warranty for that was a year. Now my Pool is three years old, and after spending 80 grand on it, it's leaking. They told me it's not under warranty. It's only a ONE-YEAR WARRANTY ON LEAKS!! So, unfortunately, after spending all that money, they will not fix it. They got their money now, so they do not care about their customers. That's all they care about is money!! I will never recommend them to anyone again, and the people I did recommend them to. I apologize in advance. I WILL BE SCREAMING AND TELLING EVERYONE NEVER TO USE THEM. read more

We were pleased with every aspect of the install until the end. Two things have gone horribly. 1) We were told we could receive St. Augustine grass and were warned it would not be enough so additional sod would need to be purchased. We were given Bahia sod and the sod itself was in terrible shape. The workers did not line up the sod pads. We had to readjust and stomp the sod pads together to reduce the clumping. It looked absolutely terrible. 2) We were given several weekly visits after the fill to add salt and so on. There is a paper the worker signs each week when he arrives to adjust the salt. He didn't show up for 3 weeks and then back dated the paperwork on his last visit to say he had been there when he in fact he had not. We brought this to his supervisor's attention and that issue fell on deaf ears. The instruction given on how to work the pool equipment has been the worst experience of this whole process. Joel is a nightmare. He is terrible about telling us the functions and leaves out important steps which results in further calls. Example: not setting up the equipment controls to talk to the other various functions of the pool equipment. He draws you a sketch how the levers need to be and that is useless. The pool equipment turns these levers as it functions, how nice that would have been to know upfront. He leaves his cell number but NEVER responds to texts or calls, NEVER, NEVER, NEVER! We call the office and ask for him to respond and that ends up in additional calls days later. When he does show up he sneaks on to the property and tries to correct the problem without contacting us on what went wrong and how to fix it if it happens again. He's extremely sketchy and unreliable. Pools by Greg would be a great pool company if they'd replace Joel. He has been a headache and I feel we should be reimbursed for the amount of frustration we have had to endure with this person. read more

Look elsewhere for a pool install. Purchased my home 1 year ago in Port St Lucie. The pool was one of the attractions to this home. Pool was 1 year old when we purchased. Six months later had an issue with the clorinator not working. Pools by Greg's response...the warrantee is not transferable! Basically I was out on my own. Called Pentair and they had it replaced two days later. Today I called Pools by Greg because the water level goes down quickly and wanted them to check for a leak. First off they could not find this home in their system and then she transfers me to another employee. He states the pool, less than three years old is.not under any warrantee as the warrantee is Non-transferable. One would think that spending an extrodinary amount of money to have a pool that the pool would not leak or the concrete all around it start cracking. Dont kniw about you but something just does not seem right that Pools by Greg would not cover the craftsmanship they pride themselves on. Take a look at the numerous other pool installers and save yourselves headaches two years down the road. Management seriously needs to rethink their business ethics. read more

as a neighbor to someone who used your company, I am appalled by the damage done to our yard. Not only did they lay sod over the bottom of our fence, then also have created flooding throughout our front and back yard, our neighbor called and was told oh that's how it is done. If you like your neighbors don't use this company! I'll be happy to post an update if they fix this.... but again, they told my neighbor it's how it is, (she is the direct customer) pool was just finished within a few weeks. read more

The worse pool company in the town. Low recommend. Our contract was signed beginning September and they ask us 6 months to do the whole service. They didn't finish yet and already it's the end of March. Their customer service it's terrible, the person responsible for the service schedule is full of excuses and has zero solutions to the client's problem. Every time it's a different excuse, a day it's short staff, another day the truck broke, too much blah blah blah. I'm.very disappointed, super upset. The only communication we got was invoiced by email. No phone calls, no text messages, nothing. Once in a while, they show up in my backyard anytime they wanna like it's their own house. read more

The following in my opinion of signing a contract with Pools by Greg (PBG). If you sign a contract with PBG, document everything so as to prepare yourself in case of litigation in case you end up having to take this company to small claims / civil court in the future. Do not trust them at their word! You as the customer is always wrong! This does not seem to be a professionally operated company in any way. I contracted with PBG for a pool and soon realized it was a big mistake because of the following: * PBG refuse to communicate their schedule for any phase of construction. * Pool permit for construction might not reflect what homeowner thought he was signing off on as to location and size. * Workers are unsupervised and have no respect for homeowner property, they waste homeowner's electric, water resulting in high bills, damage property and do not notify homeowner, encroach onto neighboring properties causing damage, & leave trash around property including plastic, cans, wood, and cigarette butts. * PBG demand payments before city permit signoff with due dates within 4 days of invoicing, & demand final payment with threat without finishing every contractual obligation. Then the question is can you trust them at their word? * Their three-pallet limit for sod stated on contract does not nearly cover the area of yard or adjacent property that was destroy during construction, and the grass is the cheapest sand-based sod available on market and does not hold together plus it contains a lot of weeds. * PBG management refuses to talk to customer about any issues. * The training at the end of the contract is a joke. The individual doing the training is knowledgeable but, leaves out important details. Also the drawing that he sketches on site would be fine if in fact it worked. The hand sketch is not at all accurate. He does emphasize a pool maintenance contractor attend to pool chemicals, so he is covered. * The signature required is to state you had training so if you call back to PBG for clarification on any of the Pentair equipment, you can and will be charged. Now if you do not have Wi-Fi connectivity, too bad because they will not supply a local control panel. * If there is a salt chlorinator installed, you will need to buy more salt after you sign the training form because from that point forward you are responsible for the pool chemistry. I had to add an additional 200#. Don't think the pool water is balanced at this point! * You will have to formally request warranty documentation to file with the equipment companies that were used for your pool. Don't expect equipment manuals, as they are not available. The contract with PBG is written for the purpose to demand payments at phases of construction before the phase is approved by the city inspector. If you are prepared to be stressed out for 9 to 12 months because of the arrogance of the management of PBG then this is your company but if not, I would strongly suggest seeking out a company that actually respects the customer, listens, and communicate. If PBG had a better management my experience could have been positive. In closing, this company is far from a professional organization. This review should not be all negative as there are some good workers that take pride in their work and do an outstanding job. PBG will actually complete the contract to justify the final payment. A closing thought to keep in mind, a fish always stinks from the head down! read more

If you like dealing with folks that have communications issues both internally and with the customer these are your folks. It was so bad they admittedly hired a guy to work on communications. This was told to me by the new hire. After about 5 months I never saw any improvement. This was not our first pool, which had Jandy equipment. Eventually they got through all the covid issues. Then the Star player came out to explain all the Pentair equipment. What a joke. He was so out to lunch I called Pentair a number of times to ask about stuff the Star told me as I was in disbelief of what he was saying. After the Pentair guy stopped laughing and saying he had never heard that before I called a local factory authorized Pentair guy to come walk through the equipment with me. $120 thank you. The factory guy corrected everything the Star got wrong. The filter pressure gauge was taking on water after our heavy rains. Contacted the non communicators about getting it replaced several times. Never heard a word. Called Pentair, they put a new gauge in the mail that day. I could go on but I think you get the picture. read more

DO NOT USE POOLS BY GREG!!! DO NOT!!! THEY DONT COMMUNICATE and then won't take accountability for their mistakes, costing you money and aggravation. My friend had the SAME ISSUES OF LACK OF COMMUNICATION. The latest issue is the sod was laid down while I was out of town. Pools by Greg didn't properly inform me or even attempt to set a date to have the sod laid. In addition, they ask where the sod should be, how much of it I needed etc. We called twice and they say "I don't see how we did anything wrong"... and I'm out 2k and not to mention the stress of it. In addition, I have a perimeter child protective barrier when I don't need one because of this poor communication also. I caught Pools by Greg on a lie about permits. They were just stalling. It's been a year since I signed the contract and my property is still incomplete. Their workers are sloppy and uninformative. I had concrete, granite, trash in what grass was left over damaging my lawnmower. They poorly graded my backyard, I now have dead sod laid on deep divots. I can go on, but I just encourage you to find a company with better communication and more integrity. read more

Please do not use this company. I have a pool put in late last and now the patio around the pool is cracking. I called and they first claimed they are not responsible. I then ask for the manager, who told me the same, but promised to call me back and never did. I have had nothing but problems and been told no quite what I believe was correct statements from them. Please use anyone but them for your pool. read more

We chose Pools by Greg to install our pool and we are very impressed with everyone who worked on it and every phase included through completion. From beginning to end, everyone we dealt with from the salesman (Bob Wood), start up (Joel) and inspection (Rafael) and of course everyone in between, was very professional. We had people out here, that put in the travertine pavers and that put up our pool enclosure, that were also fantastic. The owner Terry Wix was out here checking on things throughout and we just could not be any happier. We highly recommend Pools by Greg and send our sincerest thanks to everyone that worked on the job. Colleen & Steve read more

2 times you came out were for issues with the grout you installed around the waterfall fixture. Once was for cracking of cool decking around the pool and the other was to finally have someone show us how to use the equipment. When we asked for assistance with grout lines your employee stated that it must be from pool service and quickly dismissed us. read more

To whom it may concern: We had a pool installed which we thought we would be able to use for the next 20 years. After the permit was granted it took over 30 days before anyone showed up to start the project. After they showed up it was another 3-weeks before anyone showed up again. When they did show up they left their cigarette butts and empty water bottles all across the lawn, etc. trash in the backyard which we had to pick up. We left a trash bag tied to the fence, which they never used. On a Saturday which they showed up on very seldom, they used the backyard as a urinal instead of going into 1 of the empty lots that are adjacent or across the street from us or asking if they could use our bathroom. After that the form was poured and then we would see them every 3 or 4 days. There was always trash inside of the pool liner that they said they would clean up, which they never did. It rained multiple times, to which mosquito's and larva was in the pool, which hatched. The backyard was swarming with the mosquitos. Shortly after that I found over 500 pounds of cement buried under the sand in the corner of my fence. They denied that it was theirs and that it was probably from the people who built our house. After that they took away the sand fill from the pool hole. We asked them to leave it, so we could use it for yard purposes. They indicated that after the pool was completed they would give us a load of good dirt just for that purpose. I have called multiple times to have some delivered, which was promised on the contract signing. Also, the sod replacement was not complete, due to the complete trash removal was not done. The pool looked great for two months. On one of the service tech's visits, Scott told me that they don't program the variable pump. It took 30 days to receive the owner manuals on our equipment. The sales lady told us that, that was part of our package. Then we started having water loss. We called in weekly and no response. They sent a tech out multiple times and he found no problems. After complaining multiple times, for six months, the receptionist that took our calls informed us that we would have to pay to have a leak repair, because the tech said that there was no problem. We have proof by way of our water bills which have increased since last year. It is not recommended that we allow the water level to drop below the skimmer line, so we fill it. As we have talked over the phone, it was implied that the leak was our fault. Their company hired a pool leak detection company to come out to our house and do testing. They found an easy, common leak that any pool professional would find, and it taken six months without conclusion. We had glass tile installed with the package. It has separated and glass pieces have fragmented into the pool and I have damaged my fingers by inspecting the area's that were an unusual coloration. I have never seen glass separate like that. Every time someone has come to our house we have never received any paperwork or documentation regarding any service visits or instructions regarding the equipment. Every time that I call, the receptionist tells me that she will let the owner know. I have finally spoken with the owner after these six months, on the phone and he said that he was going to come to our house and inspect the pool. He never showed up or left a message. What an ordeal. Make sure the plans you sign off on are what they submit to the city. We had drainage issues, the so called "designer" knew this from day 1. We constantly talked of the issues every time we spoke. Come to find out, the city didn't like the way is was designed, so they removed the drainage solution. First time it flooded, I call Ashley Wix, owners daughter, and she informs me that they can't do any more, because the project is "out of funds"! Now, 9 MONTHS into our pool construction, when it rains, the whole back yard floods and muddy water gets in the house and pool. They have attempted repairs again. We'll see. Their workers have no respect for your property. No respect for your neighbors property. They leave a muddy mess wherever they touch. I hope that they all have the opportunity one day to have someone work on a project in their own yards, in the same manner as they have worked in mine. Communication is not a strong suit either. I was given the foreman's number to call if I had any problems. Every time I would call, straight to voicemail, not even a ring first. Even when I call the office direct, no one is ever there to talk to me. I know they want to be done with me. The feeling is mutual. With the amount of money I paid, I expected MUCH more. I feel at this point that 1 star is being generous read more

To add: Top layer of concrete has peeled up. Sent pic to Gregg's asking how to fix it. No response of course.

Worse pool company ever. Haven't had pool complete yet for 6 months and cement deck has cracks, pool enclosure is peeling the paint, poor grading so pool area floods when rains heavy. They state none of this is under warranty...If they can back their construction or quality of work....don't hire them!!!!! read more

Employees of Pool by Greg, have no problem lying to it's customer (Me)! I was told it would take approximately 3 months to complete. We are going into month 5 with my back yard in shambles. I don't think they are 50% complete, but yet I sent them more the 50% of the cost of the pool! A company with poor management skills from my view. read more

We had pools by Greg install a pool in 2005 they did a great job back then the pool is stil in fantastic condition but one of the hand hold tiles in the deep end came off. I called them and asked if they had some one that could come out and reattach it. They sent a service man out that very day he fixed the tile looks like it never came off. I was expecting at least a service call fee, after all it clearly isn't a warranty issue, but they didn't even charge me. Now that is great customer service. Even if there was a service charge its still great service. read more
