My cat has never had fleas before, and she was only brought here to be cleaned and groomed. She is well cared for and up to date on her vaccinations. Now I have to spend $100 on medication to treat fleas that she did not have before going to this business. I trusted them to take care of my cat, and instead, I was left dealing with an unexpected expense and the stress of treating her for fleas. I am extremely disappointed with this experience and feel that other pet owners should be aware of what happened before deciding to bring their pets here. I expected my cat to come home clean--not with fleas. I would not recommend this business based on my experience.

Cory and her staff treat you like they have known you forever from your first phone call and beyond from picking up your baby. They will be blunt and honest about the changes that need to happen on our end, but it is absolutely necessary to get the best doggos out of it and for continued growth. My Oliver Marsh was with them for 3 weeks, I received report cards with pictures reinforcing the sense of trust I had in them. When I say that if I felt even 1% off about them, I would have ate the non refundable cost and walked away with my boy. Cory and her staff continue their communication even after you are home. They never make you feel like you are asking too many questions or that they are stupid. We are excited to continue our trainings at group days and Oliver will be boarded to get any refreshers, plus he just fell in love with everyone there!! It has only been 4 days from picking up Oliver but the entire family can see a difference and the progress him and I have made. Just remember if you invest into your dog when these wonderful human beings, the work really start when you bring your baby home. We had…read moredecided to do this because we were having reactivity issues during walks and in public places. He also was not walking well despite all of our training efforts. He would constantly pull. It was so hard to leave him for the 3 weeks, but it was totally worth it. We received constant communication from Cory and Melaney during his stay which helped with the separation. The lessons we have received from the initial pick up and our group lessons have helped us and Charlie to continue with his training and success. We recently had a vacation and Charlie was so well behaved. There was no reaction from him when he saw other dogs. Using the methods we were taught for introducing him to people and other dogs worked like a charm. His walking skills are excellent. It is such a joy to walk with him no matter the surroundings. The other characteristic we have noticed is that Charlie is so much calmer. He now understands what is expected of him within our family. He understands that we will initiate the playtime and there is no more high pitched barking for attention. If you are having similar problems with your furry family member, we highly recommend enrolling your pet. Brad & Linda

I'm sensitive to energy so when I walk into any business, I can immediately feel it. The atmosphere is comfortable, clean, tidy, and laid back. They are all easy to talk with, with Inviting personalities. I can feel how important a stress free environment is to them for their customers. Upon my first visit, I shared a lot of concern for the well being of my animals (My chow is young and I am doing everything to try and ensure she is handled respectfully and sensitively so she doesn't become aggressive) and they made sure to ease that by keeping me updated with info and photos during their stay. They are good listeners, even when you're long winded. They take necessary steps to help ease your animals anxiety, make them feel comfortable and less stressed. Confidence is so important when grooming so many different breeds of animals of all ages. Something they don't lack. My animals sense this and have learned quickly who they prefer. Shaggy Dog took notice to each animals behavior when being handled, honing in on who they feel the most comfortable with, and noting that in their records for next time. I can't help but also notice the relationship between the workers. I can sense the comfort, trust, and ease. They didn't hesitate to let me walk through the salon when I wanted to. I got to enjoy seeing other animals being groomed because doors were open! I was reassured to know my animals get checked on by the manager on and off through their entire visit. I'm confident that even though the trust is high amongst each other, the manager still pays close attention to how each animals is handled and treated and walks through often to ensure that. My dogs smelled and felt amazing after their baths. And wks later, still felt very clean and soft. After trying a few other groomers before Shaggy Dogs, this one keeps inviting me back because of mine and my animals overall experience. Thank you for helping to build my confidence, trust, and continuing to ensure that, each and every time.

I paid extra money for my dog to have a cot while I was away. Upon my return, I was told by staff that he has a cut above his left eye. When she brought him out she said she had to wipe green mucus from his right eye. I told her it looked infected. I paid and left. On the car ride home my dog smelled like urine. As soon as I got home I called back and asked about the urine odor and double checked that he slept in a cot. I also complained about the infection of his eye. I also noticed my dog was limping. I was reassured the manager would give me a call. That never happened! No one ever called. I decided I would no longer use them for my dog again. I do not feel like my dog was properly taken care of during his stay. Update: Yesterday I received a call from the President of the company. He apologized and offered a free bath for my dog. I accepted his apology and the free bath. The staff were also very apologetic. I appreciate him reaching out and addressing the issues and concerns.
