I've taken my German shepherd here for a deshedding bath a few times and the service was great!

Called me at noon after I dropped my dog off at 11am due to a possible tornado that wasn't supposed hit until late that night stating that they were closing early. Had to have my husband leave early from work at 2pm to get my dog after dropping her off at 11am after getting 3 phone calls that she was the only dog there. There hours are stated until 5pm. They did a great job on her grooming but business is business if you advertise a time you close stick to it. read more

HIGHLY RECOMMEND Mona's Pet X-ing in Highview! Usually my fiancé and I will attempt to do all of Theo's grooming on our own, but we usually struggle because Theo can be a tad impatient. So we decided to invest in one big grooming appointment for our puppy before we go on vacation, and I was absolutely impressed! Not only did we experience exceptional customer service, but Theo got pretty much everything done for a very affordable cost! Nails cut, grinch feet trimmed, his winter coat is now a summer coat, smells FANTASTIC, and to top it all off they gave him the cutest little bandana! Mona's is absolutely amazing! They groomed my Great Pyrenees Honey, and she has never looked better and the deshedding helped wonders. They were super communicative through the whole process and very affordable. Honey came home super relaxed, so I know she enjoyed herself during the day. I have been fortunate enough to have found Mona's pet crossing a year and half ago and I still can't believe how LUCKY I was to have found them I have a 3 year old male bichon frise Rickie who I have been taking him here and my other 2 babies Lucy 9 year old Lab mix and 8 and half year old puggle Coco they do a OUTSTANDING job and they are so LOVING and EXTREMELY gentle with my babies they absolutely LOVE going there the place is always CLEAN and bright and HAPPY they do a EXCELLENT job on grooming Rickie and bathing and doing nails and anal glands on the other 2 and their prices are GREAT if you happen to find yourself looking for the BEST groomer in Louisville then your look is over because I assure you they are and you or your baby won't be disappointed. read more

Sooo looking for a new dog groomer in Louisville again folks any suggestions?!?! I normally do not do this but I have not been this upset in a while. Mona's Pet X-ing in Highview kept my dog,Hiro, from 9:30 AM till 4:30 PM today! They had my dog working a full-time job basically lol And when I finally got Hiro home he ran to his water bowl chugging it down which just made me even more upset. On my way to work late because of them I called to speak to the owner Rob to give my concerns. He responded with excuses and brushed away what I said. The call ended with him saying "what do you want from me?" I said "nothing moving forward, thank you." His response.... "High Five" WT He showed no sympathy, barely an apology, no offer of a discount next time. He just explained that he dealt with a few difficult dogs today in detail and how he had to keep a relationship with them, his assembly line of grooming and that "my dog left happy didn't he" YEA BECAUSE HE SAW ME AND WAS FINALLY GOING HOME! On top of that I booked this appointment weeks ago and made it clear I wanted the groomer who did him last time because he looked great. I then was told when dropping him off this morning that groomer was not there and that the receptionist overbooked. I don't like his cut, they shaved his face which I specifically said today NOT TOO. The last girl understood the mission hence why I asked for her again! One last thing, I let the receptionist know this morning at 9:30am what his cut was to look like. I then get a call from the groomer around 12 PM asking the same thing. So I would think in an hour maybe two at the max he would be done. Nope! The staff at Mona's are awesome, they do such a good job with the dogs. Not only are they friendly but they care for your babies as their own. We have taken our Doodles there twice now and each time we were more then happy with the results. This last time we asked for Mohawks and told them to use their own judgement and be creative. Couldn't be more happier with them and the results. read more

I had my puppy's nails clipped on Wednesday and they had an opening for grooming on Friday. When they called for pickup I asked what my total was and it was different than what was giving to me on the phone. The owner, Rob, I believe got on the phone and was very aggressive during the discussion. He asked me what I wanted because he had other things to do! Well ok then. When he brought the puppy out to the car he stick his hand in car to "pat" his head and for the first time EVER my puppy growled and snapped at him. Then guess what the professional business owner did? Gave the puppy the finger ( or maybe it was directed to me)!!! Needless to say we won't be going back there. read more

I have taken both of my small dogs, Emma and Jessie, to Rob for years. Unfortunately, Jessie passed away of old age, but to the end, Rob was gentle with her and very mindful that her comfort was the primary interest. Emma can be really stubborn, but Rob always demonstrates patience both with her and her "helicopter mom" . Despite the level of patience necessary to groom small dogs, they always come out looking beautifully, and Rob has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to pet care. I appreciate him and his staff very much and am extremely happy that he is back full-time on this side of town. read more

You are exactly right in that I did create this account for the sole purpose of reviewing your business so that others can be aware of my experience. I do have proof that I was an actual client and had been there multiple times... But I owe you nothing. It was very clear that you were already aware that you injured my dog because there was some sort of salve on the wound. An ethical professional would have notified me of the incident when I picked the dog up, but since you didn't, calling your business would have served no purpose... Instead I chose to walk away and make others aware. As a consumer, I not only have a right but an obligation to review your business under these circumstances. read more

The woman who checked my dogs in was extremely rude and unfriendly. It was my first time dropping my two dogs off for their appointment, my boyfriend usually drops them off. All I asked her for was an estimation of when they would be done so that I can plan to use my time wisely. She seriously replied "They will be done when they're done, we will call you." Then I asked her what time they close and she told me 1pm or whenever they finish grooming all of the dogs. Wow! Her attitude was disgusting! And she lied to me! They are open from 8am until 3pm, Monday-Saturday. I do my best to support local, family-owned businesses but I will never go back there again. read more

Been going there for years. Rob does a fantastic job with our Yorkie! People are very friendly and very professional. Once I decided to try a competitor a block away who did a terrible job. Had to get Mona's to do it right. Will never go anywhere else. read more

I have been taking my dog to Mona in Middletown for years. She does a great job and my dog loves her and her crew. All I have to say is, "you want to go to the beauty shop?" and she gets soooo excited. Not the fanciest place in town, but the absolute best. read more
