Took my female German shepherd nika for years to there old location on Preston in Louisville. Use to get her a bath nails done deshedded for under $50 then they raised price so I had to pay $63 for a long while. Plus moved further away in hillview. But nika liked it there. So I made the drive. Then recently out of nowhere they said it's going to be over $80. Smh. Said I hadn't been paying enough for years. lol. I been a loyal customer for years. Driving almost a half hour and they raise it $20 smh so now I go to places closed to me. Like pet smart. Where I get it done for $60 because these big chain stores have coupons. Like Petco and feeders supply. Always have coupons. It's just a shame they chased away a loyal customer that was willing to drive out of the way to come there. Just because they needed to be greedy. lol. I can understand sometimes having to raise your prices, but to jump $20 was ridiculous. They obviously don't care about their customers. Just the bottom line.

They do an amazing job. I've taken my Standard Poodles there for years. I recommend them highly.read more

I would prefer to give a zero star rating. DO NOT use this "Animal Clinic". Doctor and staff are…read moreincompetent and will dismiss any input from owners. My cat had gone a couple of days without eating/drinking. Long story short, this clinic REFUSED to give him liquids, said he wasn't dehydrated (After keeping him for two days), then said he wasn't eating/drinking because he was on Prozac which may have caused anorexia. Blood tests they performed said nothing was wrong - nothing. They then performed a procedure to extract urine that caused a Vagal Response, which rendered him immobile. They sent him home with meds that he could not ingest by eating or in liquid form. I took him to another hospital the following morning where they immediately hooked up an IV for fluids and ran blood tests again. The results were drastically different that it completely stunned the DR as to how bloodwork could change so horribly within two days. It was declared he was severely dehydrated, constipated, and was experiencing kidney failure; and would no longer have a quality of life and was subsequently euthanized. Davis Animal Clinic considers concerned pet owners as a burden and won't be bothered with your opinions and/or concerns. The doctors and staff take no responsibility in being wrong or even remotely care for that matter. This hospital is a gross representation of the veterinary field and overall pet care criteria.
