Understand that buying a used boat can come with some issues, but this was to the point where it was flat out dishonest. I've tried to work with them to amicably come to a resolution, but can't get an email or a phone call returned timely. Their response... not our problem. People expect a basic level of integrity when working with a dealership and you won't find that at Taylor. I would absolutely not do business with them or affiliates in the future.

They connected me with a surveyor, Joyce Nolen, to perform the inspection and she did not appear to have missed any issues on the boat. (She didn't cover the motor.) They were also accommodating on the scheduling/timing of hauling the boat post-purchase. However as others have experienced, I had a terrible time in the post-purchase experience & with the service team. It's one thing that they charged $360 for a compression check - I guess you can make an argument about hourly labor rates. But it's another thing that I paid a hunk of cash post-purchase for servicing the motor, only to find out after taking delivery that the trim unit had a bad and obvious leak. It turns out it was a comically obvious issue - a gasket that was supposed to be inside the trim cylinder had slid out and all the way up the trim ram. It was sitting in plain sight and yet the service team completely missed it, even though trim inspection is a step in regular Verado maintenance. When I took delivery of the boat, I immediately made Joe aware of leaking fluid (he never responded) but I remained hopeful that it was due to the cold weather as I hadn't identified the cause yet - I'm no mechanic. I launched the boat in May and it immediately became clear that there was a serious issue. After a couple engine hours, the trim unit lost so much fluid it could no longer lift the motor, and I had to pull the boat out. That's when I identified the missing gasket, and I even found old pictures I took of the motor before it was serviced and you could see it then too. After only a few weeks in the water, I now have to rebuild the trim unit. In my case this ends my boating season for the summer before July, all for an issue that should have been addressed in the post-purchase servicing. I provided all of this information very clearly and courteously to Joe as the issue developed, but instead of being a champion of this issue to the service team, he's been defensive and flat out stopped responding. Your mileage may vary, but don't be surprised if they are quick to take your money but slow to take responsibility for their shoddy work.

I dropped the car off two days early as it's very clearly the recall causing problems and the rep was a jerk. Very "rural man talks to a woman car owner" vibe. I asked for the manager to call, a man possibly more rude. BMW all over the country is known for customer service but this place is just incompetent men who clearly have women. BMW will also always run your codes all at once bug my car has a bug where it endlessly send codes and dealership can't find anything writing, and this place wants to charge $270 per code! That's like $2,000 in diagnostics. Seriously hard to explain how rude the manager was. I think he called to make me more angry, and make clear they will do nothing. At one point he even said unless I pay the fee they won't even look at the pump that could have been affected, so now I have to take it to another BMW! Thinking of filing a small claims for the insurance claim that got denied over their lack of photos. I miss Fort Lauderdale where one once gave me a free oil change with purchase of 3, and colorado where reps always gave me a loaner and were so kind. And didn't try or trip me off in diagnostics since they know my car gave wrong codes a lot. Truly, wow. Go to any other BMW dealership. I've never had a bad experience until this place. Colorado, Florida, all amazing. Any of those would have taken a peek at my car two days ago to let me know if the recall corroded and the car needed to stay. Instead, they're intentionally trying to do mine late on New Year's Eve when my kid is home from college in ireland and we leave two hours away in Phillly. We might be spending new years even in some cow town in delaware because we won't know what was wrong with the car, since the manager made very clear he's also not going to see if the recalled part caused the issue my car is hating which is the typical problem a car damaged by this part has. And now I'm worried they'll lie and not take photos of the recalled area.
