Great place to stop for a couple of slices or a sub at lunch time. The store is kind of a little stand alone hole in the wall which, in my opinion, is preferable to fancy chain pizzarias or one of the latest wood fired pizza bistro joints... Adds to it's charm. The guys who work lunch are great and chat with the customers, often plugging their pizza of the day. Love that they have a variety of toppings on slices at lunch time... And the reasonable prices. At any rate, the friendly girl taking the pizza out of the oven asked me if it was "dark enough". I was thinking it should have been taken out 10 minutes ago!--ugh. I asked her to cut the pizza in squares. Upon opening the pizza box, I noticed the pizza was not cut in squares. And, it was indeed overcooked--crust was very very hard and lacking taste. Lots of cheese and toppings were good (fresh mushrooms), but there was hardly any meatballs and the overcooked crust indeed ruined it. The crust is also pretty thick. if you are into that sort of thing. Wings were good, tasted fresh, but I personally like them cooked more. Blue cheese was tasty. This pizza reminded me of the pizza my parents would buy with coupons as a kid. You know the stuff, overly cheesy but using the cheapest cheese possible. The sauce tastes like it came out of a can. I'm guessing it was sysco. The wings weren't crispy at all and the sauce was boring. Definitely a simple Frank's red-hot sauce. I ordered hot and they were barely spicy. Driving up, it looks nice. Walking in the door was terribly disappointing. Let's just say I'm glad I got it for take out... but I really wish I had ordered it for delivery. It looks like they haven't cleaned up in years. Outstanding! The crust definitely did not taste like cardboard, it was crispy with a chewy finish and the sauce was slightly sweet but not too much. I got my go to which is xtra cheese ham pep. and mushroom and it was great. If you do not like greasy pizza then this may not be for you but if you do then order up, I live in Ohio and am here on business and this will be my go to the next time I am in town. Not all of these are the same quality, I should say that right up front. With that said, I do really like the one in Victor - it is better than many of the others in the chain, in my opinion. The wings and pizza are pretty good - it's not New York City style thin crust, but it is very very good. And the wings always seem really close to perfect. When they have made a mistake, they have always been quick to correct it. Even when it was delivery - they would come back to our house with whatever we needed. This place is VERY hit and miss. It's like opening a mystery box, you just don't know what's going to be inside. Every pizza you order is totally different than the one you ordered before. One is saucy, the next one is not, one is thick, the next one is paper thin etc. Typical cheap pizza chain. But, some of the pizza's out of this place are excellent. It's just too bad it depends on whose working. The buffalo chicken is usually great. I ordered a standard red pizza with pepperoni and it was terrible so I stick with the specialty pizzas. I ordered a pizza at 8 pm and they told me 40 minutes. When I arrived at 8:52 every worker was standing around talking and hanging out and the worker said my pizza would be a minute. He cashed me out while I wait, then he started to actually make my pizza. I thought that there was no way that was my pizza so I waited. When he opened the oven to clean it before putting the pizza in I asked if that was my pizza and he said yes that they forgot to make it. I couldn't believe that they would take my money and lie to me all while allowing me to stand there thinking my pizza would be done in a minute or two. Then when I demanded my money back because there was no way I was going to sit there and wait for the pizza to cook for who knows how long, he couldn't figure out how to reverse the credit card charge, which took 5 minutes at which point he finally gave me cash instead. The pizza here is good, but it's because of the ingredients and recipes. The last 4 times I've ordered from here, they get at least one thing wrong with the order. The most recent time, they put the wrong ingredients on it, put an obscene amount of olives on it(which was a topping I did not order) and the cut resulted in a ton of uneven slices, some 1/16 and some 1/4 slices. The pizza from Pontillo's is usually pretty reasonable, but this review is about bad service. We placed an order for delivery and a half hour later they called to say the pizza was ready but they couldn't deliver to our address. "The girl that took your order is new and she made a mistake." When I told the manager that we were literally a couple of minutes outside of their delivery zone, she didn't care. "We can't deliver out of the delivery zone even if it's our mistake. It would take too long." It sad that a manager can't see that making a customer satisfied (after they made a mistake) is more important than following their rule to the letter. A few minutes of extra driving to fix their own mistake, but they won't do it. Bad service. I will not go back. read more

Pizza is good and they let you do half one topping and half another topping without charging you for two toppings (just how it should be)! We get half boneless and half traditional wings often and they're decent sized (unlike some pizza shops I know). Delivery speed is average but the pizza is usually hot, like it was just made. Placed an order for delivery on Saturday 9/17/16. Thought I ordered a small pizza and one order of plain chicken fingers and one order of chicken fingers tossed in country sweet. What I got was two orders of half a dozen wings. I called to let them know they sent the wrong food and the phone girl was very nice and professional and apologized. She took ownership and said she made a mistake when she put in my order and that she would send the correct food but she had to tell her manager first. Well, the manager got on the phone with me and was incredibly rude. She sounded like she couldn't have been older than 22 years old. Very snarky. She answered "hi". That's it. So I explained the situation and she told me I was lying and that it was my fault the order was placed incorrectly and she would charge me if I wanted more food sent out. I couldn't believe how unprofessional she was being so I said that's okay have a good night and she said "have a good night" in the most chipper offensive way possible. The "manager" was just mean. None of the attitude was necessary. I did not call them freaking out. It was a simple misunderstanding that could have easily been fixed but she refused to help me, even after the first girl offered to send the correct food. Totally disappointing. I actually downloaded this app to leave this feedback. I would call and ask for the owner or a different manager because I would at the very least like an apology and also my money back but I fear it will only aggravate me more if they are as rude and disrespectful as the Saturday night manager. read more
