Came here for wing Wednesday. Was 70% full at 6:30PM on a Wednesday. You get ~10 wings per order…read more We got 5 flavors. Worked out to be approx. $40. We got pop as our drink and I'm glad we asked but it is NOT non-stop (no free refills). Waitress was nice but very busy. Flavors and their ratings: Honey Garlic: 10/10 my personal favorite. Very well sauced. Dill pickle: 8/10 Flavoring was just a light dusting and did not stick really well to the wings. Nice flavor just wish there was more of it. Lemon pepper: 9/10 Flavoring stuck better to these wings. This was Friend 1s favorite as it had a nice zing to it. Bangin Bacon: 10/10 Friend 2s favorite, i also really enjoyed this one. Nice and creamy and flavor. Not a strong flavor. Moroccan: 3/10 everyone least favorite. Very bland. Tastes like paprika only. Overall the wings had a good amount of meat on them, were hot and fresh and I would come back!

You can usually find more parking behind the building near the Corner Pocket.  Admittedly, aside from their wings, I haven't had the chance to try any of their regular menu items so can't comment on those. But we've visited a handful of times on wing Wednesdays and are always pleased with the fast-paced service and flavours of their wings. My favourite picks are the Bangin' Bacon, Dill Pickle, Thai Chili, and of course, the classic Honey Garlic. I have found that on some busy nights, they've skimped out on the flavourings that we've had to scrape them from the bottom of the basket, but I'm sure the servers would be happy to bring you extra flavourings if you ask. Our most recent visit was a nice surprise as they were still decked out with their seasonal decorations; so fun! They also host a lot of local shows/concerts, so make sure to check out their website to stay updated!

I just came back from checking out this recently opened venue and it is awesome!…read more Its only about 8 minutes south of leduc and has just recently been opened with the help of the community banding together. Max capacity would be 240, but it would hold about 140 with a large dance floor. The bar is attached to the barn with a grain bin which is so cool as it doesn't look like a grain bin! The owners, Chris and Jeff, have put their heart and soul into making it a success and it shows. There are packages if you're looking for a wedding venue, Christmas party venue, or just need a larger area to throw your event. They have also partnered with the Wyndham Garden (8016 Sparrow Drive in Leduc) for not only special room rates, but also shuttle service. The outdoor cement pad has two nice wood burning stoves which are nice if you want to be outside and it's a bit chilly. They also have the option of a portable bar outside as well. The owners are super friendly and very accommodating so make sure to give them a call to book your tour of their venue!

In my and my husbands opinion Whitewood Barn is the perfect wedding venue for a rustic chic type of couple. Chris and her family we're very accommodating and provided great recommendations such as our photographer @pinkskyphotography and Ryan at RAD Media. They made our day feel special and when it unexpectedly fell cold, they made our guests feel at home and cozy with our homemade cider. They went to great lengths to ensure everything ran on time and to make sure my husband didn't see me until I walked down the isle. From helping me "fluff" my dress to my liking and making sure the groomsmen put the boutonnières on properly they were there every step of the way to make our day perfect. When we signed the agreement and made the deposit, it was very clear that it was non refundable, which we were completely fine with! This is how businesses survive! Ensuring they have profit to keep up with the maintenance of this beautiful venue. If it was easy everyone would have a whitewood barn. Due to the unfortunate COVID-19 pandemic, I can see how some people may be frustrated about not getting their money back. However, knowing Chris I can guarantee she has been trying her best to make accommodations based on the available dates. Please don't forget that behind these venues there are families that are trying to desperately keep their businesses intact! So please be kind and support this venue.

Old Cinema is a decent place; Only when you are hammered…read more As an Augustana student, it is an alright place if you go with friends. However, like Will M. said, the DJ is absolutely terrible. This place needs to be audited badly. The bartenders get drunk, they let customers come behind the counter and serve drinks. They only take cash there. It's a real pain. The place needs desperate renovations. It is slowly falling apart on the outside. The inside needs to be refurbished. There is always small pieces of glass down the sides of the couches. I have cut myself on them. OC's needs to be a more friendlier place, with better standards and bartenders. The bouncers are rude and ignorant. Like I said, its a ton of fun when your drunk out of your mind, because your drunken self doesn't notice the muck and the grime and the arrogance of the employees there. Sober you, however, will find the place disgusting. So basically, only go if there are Augustana students there.

Ok the person who wrote the other review is totally on base........ about a year and a half ago…read more The Old Cinema or OC's as it is often referred to now has changed monumentally since the new DJ took over for the last DJ. The crowd has definitely changed as the drug dealers and rig pigs are barely seen in there anymore. It has been way more busy as the new DJ does not play crap techno or youtube videos at all. He will play some techno as long as its good techno. The guy in the bathroom is no longer there, they kicked him out a long time ago. The seating is a lot better with a row of couches on the side. The OCs does become a strip joint on wed and thurs but no longer hire the "rejects" of Edmonton clubs. They come straight from an agency in Edmonton that i am surprised the Manager dishes out the money for. The situation on the drink prices sadly remains the same as you will prolly not pay the same price for the same drink every time. As i was saying with the DJ situation he actually DJs and not just plays song beginning to end with no mixing, he mixes and he mixes good, he also plays the music videos when he has them. The new DJ is probably the best thing The Old Cinema could have done as he has increased business. So the best time to go to the Old Cinema... all year round now... good music... good bartenders. Although i will say this..... the place definitely needs a renovation. For the safety issue they have hired some really good bouncer and kept two of their best who have been there for a number of years. The amount of fights that go on there have decreased substantially. Even though it is so much better than before... the other review was right when he said the best time to go is when college is in... who doesnt love college girls.

The decor was very interesting inside - truck stop meets hunting lodge meets car show meets old gas station. The atmosphere and vibe is very cool. The food was great. My son ordered the kids spaghetti and he wolfed it down fast. My daughter had the brisket sandwich which had good flavour. My wife had the Jack's burger and it was quite large and tasty. I had the Reuben and a clam chowder. Really great sandwich and the chowder had lots of clams in int. We really enjoyed looking around to see all the different decorations around the inside. Our server was friendly and attentive. Will definitely be back if we come through again.

The decor was changed for the upcoming Halloween which I found a nice touch. Our server was friendly and kept up with our beverages. Our meal was good though if I was to order the taco salad I would go beef and they definitely could use more nacho chips what you see in my picture is all I got maybe 8 if lucky nine chips. My companion really like the thick Texas bread with the Monte Cristo and he enjoyed the crispy fries. While we were dining and a live band started to play it ruined our experience because it was extremely loud so we were screaming at each other. On top of that the band was racing through the song, drowning out the lead singer which seems he wasn't comfortable singing.
