Cornerstone is one of those unique places that you'd probably never go to if a friend didn't take you. The only way you'd see it is the big sign they have that lights up when they are open. Their hours are confusing, and I've driven to get some wings, only to find that they were closed. I'm still trying to figure them out.
That being said. The beer is cold, and the wings are ah-mazing. They boast over 123 flavours, and their menu is just as crazy as the flavours it offers. Chocolate wings? Check. Tequlia? Check. Suicide Ranch? Check. See a combination of flavours that aren't there but you want to try them? Done. Bone in, bone out or shrimp. They have it all.
The dry rubs are always crispy and the sauces are saucy enough that you need more than one napkin. I can't get enough.
If the wings didn't appeal to you enough, then let the perogy poutine be your next choice. Baby perogies, covered in gravy and cheese with onions and bacon bits. Sounds a little gross, but once you try it, you'll never second guess yourself. The cheese is more of a cheese sauce, not typical poutine cheese curds, but it works!
I've never tried anything else, but I keep going back for these delicious dishes (try saying that five times fast) whenever the craving hits.
The owner is a sweetheart, and the decor is crazy - in a good way. As far as I know, the owner created a lot of the decor by hand. My usual table is made of bottle caps! Sometimes the people are a bit rowdy (typical in smaller towns) but don't let the decor or some bad patrons scare you, it's a great place. read more
