My only complaint was that many of the girls working in the office seemed miserable to be there, weren't friendly, and very unwelcoming and blatantly rude. At one point I went to get some drinks and firewood and mentioned how I'd like to get change for the showers after the transaction (which was debit, otherwise I would've done everything together). I was totally snubbed rudely with a dirty condescending look by her for asking/reminding for a bag (for the drinks) and the change. Not a huge problem as I can just go down the street to the Cumberland farms next time I go and need essentials, but still a pity that this experience lost them future sales in the office with me, and clearly others who have noticed this too. I hope management either talks to their current employees or considers hiring new people who aren't literal Squidwards.

Last evening arrived at Pinewood Lodge for my third year as a full time camper. Having travel here…read morefrom Florida to say the least I was exhausted. As I entered the office to register I was greeted by Jody who said to me "welcome Hime". That picked up my spirits quite a bit. As I was driving here I thought about my site and how to back in was a hill which I thought could be a bit muddy which it was. As I was guided in by Geoff one of the great crew and an RV tech I got stuck and bogged down in the mud. Things look bleak at that point and we talked about getting a tow truck to move my 45' coach. Suddenly the Calvary arrived and we and they devised a plan to free me up. Oh did I say it was raining quite hard. After two hours using planking and more digging I was freed. Now they decided to put me in a pull through for the night which I did. Now the plan is to wait until the ground dries a bit and go back to the site I love. Bottom line I e traveled all over North America and never had the service I get here and always with a sincere smile. They always seem to know what to do to make the customer feel happy and satisfied. The main difference here I believe is the fact it's a family run facility third generation and it's not the same as being a name and number in a corporate campground. The point I'm making is recommend anyone to stay here at Pinewood Lodge. I'm here and hope to be for time to come. The amenities and activities are wonderful. So I hope this review helps people looking for a campground close to Cape Cod and convenient to travel to Boston would consider them. Happy Camper

There are a few homes still left on the island - and I love how the city is trying to kill them off. There is 1 woman who still lives there year-round. You'll see her pop up on Chronicle or an article in the Globe now and then. No electricity, no running water. There's not much to the island itself. I wouldn't recommend going. But last time I went, we broke into the part of the island where you're not supposed to go and snooped around. Kinda fun. All these old buildings - what stories do they contain? Sort of a spooky place, Peddock's. I can't say I'll ever go back.

It DOES have fresh running water, composting toilets, and a visitors' center with lots of activities. It is also a 5 min ride from Hull. Friendly DCR staff, The "so so." Peddocks is a big island, so if you want to set up your tent, then walk down to the beach... you have to plan everything out because you don't want to go back to your tent if you forget something. It also has some elevation so not all of the coast is accessible. The disappointing. We reserved the 'group camp site' for our group. The group campsite is this giant open field, probably longer than a football field. There's no cover, so your tents bake in the sun, and get drenched in the rain. The Yurts are next to eachother - very close. There's a water tap, and electricity - so you don't get that feeling that you're alone on an island. You get the feeling that you're with a bunch of people from the Boston area. The group sites had 2 picnic tabes for the entire area. We wish they had one closer to where we set up camp. While there are some sandy spots, the coast was pretty rocky. All and all worth a visit but try camping on a different island.

Last camping trip of the year!…read more So, the weekend before last, we decided to get in one more camping trip for this year. We were going to be traveling with extended family, so we needed two adjacent sites suitable for tents. We looked everywhere, but every campground was either closed or not taking tent campers due to COVID restrictions. That is code for we do not want to have to clean our bathrooms and public areas all the time. Then we found the Circle CG Farm and Campground in Bellingham, Mass. We were greeted by Donna, who also took our reservation. She is a wonderful, polite, no-nonsense woman, like your mom! She was worried when we made the reservation that their tent sites would be too small for our kind of set up. She was wrong; the sites were beautiful with plenty of flat space. We were up on a hill with good drainage, and she put us within "emergency" walking distance of the bathrooms, critical for the kids, and honestly, for us older adults. I mentioned that we were tenting. We do not just tent; we tent with 19th-century camping gear. Canvas tents and fly with no floors, candle lanterns, cooking over the fire pit. You get the picture, I'm sure. So, the most important thing is the bathrooms. We do not want to experience 19th-century bathrooms, Lol. The funny thing is that you get at a lot of campgrounds, dirty, poorly maintained. Circle CG Farm has THE BEST CAMPGROUND BATHROOMS IN THE US! Spotless clean, and heated. The building was built to last, and the interior was tiled, not with vinal but the real thing! The water was hot in the showers; I cannot say enough! Way to go, Circle CG. Granted, it was very late in the season, and the pool and other rec areas were closed (Covid also was a factor), but for sitting around a fire and playing games at the picnic tables, this was perfect. Due to Covid, they can only use every other site, but with family on both sides, they let us spill into the middle to use the fire pit. Firewood was reasonably priced and delivered and stacked by staff. Our only complaint was some neighbors who came in late at night and lit up our tent with their headlights while they set up and other neighbors with several very loud, active, and enthusiastic barking dogs. Neither issue was the campground's fault though the noise rules could be enforced with a bit more enthusiasm. I highly recommend the Circle CG Farm and Campground and suggest you give them a try. We will be back next year, for sure.

Turned out that Marshfield wasn't too far a drive on a nice (though overcast) day. Stuart, who…read moretook down my initial reservation, wasn't there, but his co-workers took good care of us. I'm so bad with names... sorry! Big clean single gender bathrooms were available in the office which were great for a quick visit before our flight. Once in the helicopter, you strap yourself in with a seatbelt similar to those found on airplanes, and put on the headphones so that you can hear the pilot and each other above the noise. It wasn't a long ride, but it gave us a great view of some lovely terrain and the beautiful water as well as the teeny houses and other structures. When we returned safely to earth, the staff kindly offered to take a photo of us by the helicopter.

He was very very nice and his machine is incredible. It had leather seats and Bose headsets. He showed us some beach views that make me want to drive down right now and park my car on the beach (i am sure this will happen this summer). The only thing that is causing me to take away one star is that when we went there was a little bit of a booking issue. He had scheduled both us and another couple for 1PM without realizing and there was another coupe who drove to the wrong airport. Luckily it was a really nice day and we didn't mind hanging around for a bit. If you have never been in a helicopter this is a great experience and well worth the money.
