Saturday September 26, 2020…read more We met at Paw Paw parking lot which is at the southern terminus of the Adirondack Trail. If you are looking for the children's playground don't park here, unless you want to hike 1.5 miles on the trail with some hilly traversing (not the best with young kiddos)! You'll want to get right back in your car and head north on Patterson Blvd then find the north parking lot (the name escapes me now). We learned this the hard way. Once we finally got to the playground my brother-in-law and I headed back to Paw Paw to pick up the cars. I personally didn't mind it so much, but the Mummy's were pretty frantic on their phones looking for the playground that they had heard about but didn't know exactly where it was. The kids didn't mind, bumbling along at their own pace. It was a pretty nice day for hiking and enjoying the outdoors of this park which is surrounded by Community Golf course on both sides.

This is a beautiful metro park. I especially like visiting in the fall and spring. The trails are short and easy to navigate with paved boardwalk as well, this would be a great park for small kids or dog walking. The surrounding area is beautiful, but there is quite a bit of traffic on the road around the park that you need to be aware of. They have a gorgeous and large shelter that would be great for a family event and plenty of shade trees.

This park is awesome. I want to take the slide, but fear being seen as a creeper. The spider web…read moreis cool as well. I can climb it to save my child that went to high. The zip line is popular. With dad's lining up to make kids go faster if they ask to. Many shaded areas for parents to be within running distance if something happens. Everyone is very cordial and looking out for the other little ones. I hope my little ones will have lost interest shortly before they become parents.

This park is a new favorite of ours. It's big and has lots to do. Also, a different selection of…read morestructures than we've found on other playgrounds. Probably the most unique thing is what my husband calls the zip line. I've frequently found the handle bar you hang from and whiz across a level bar about 7 ft. Long. This is a similar idea. But instead of a handle bar, there is a long pole with a circular seat at the bottom. This seat hangs about a foot and a half from the ground. Depending on height, size, age, ability you can decide to either sit or stand on this seat. My two year old boy sat on it with no problem. But considering my large belly getting in the way, I decided to stand. Anyway, this thing is twice as long as any other I've seen! And it's like a very wide "V" shape. So it gives to momentum in the first half to make it back up through the second. So fun!! Other unique attractions include a SUPER long slide (not actually very steep, but at the top of a hill and quite long - some families bring paper to sit on in order to slide faster), statues of large turtles and one of those large disc swings. Such a fun place! I take my boy here when we're in the area.
