There are also some awesome balance equipment to try! Something else to note: This park is not well shaded in the evenings. I brought a 3 year old to the park and while she had a lot of fun, it was quite challenging for her to climb on much of the equipment. There are also only two small slides which weren't easily accessible for her. They have a few toddler swings and a handicap accessible swing that she had fun trying!

The new playground is AMAZING! It's so big and has a lot of cool features like a zip line, lots of climbing features, different slides, and areas for smaller kids. They have pickleball courts now, which look nice. There are still basketball hoops. The tennis courts are getting redone this year as well. In the summer the amphitheatre has concerts and plays for free. A good amount of parking on none event days, but they have you park across the street on the grass too.

We usually do about 3-4 concerts here that vary between a Journey, Fleetwood Mac, Queen cover bands and a kids show that tends to be Disney! Yeah! Being a Disney fan I love that they offer this. Parking is abundant and getting out can be a tad bit longer for bigger shows but in general just be patient. You just attended a free show.

There are two awesome and obscure shaped monkey bars, many spinning seats, and large slides! They also have a great area with various giant musical instruments to play. On the far side of the playground there is a splash pad. It was still on and running today! This park is wide open and had so much space for the kids to run and play. There is a lot of shaded areas for parents to sit and relax while the littles wear themselves out.

You could walk the loop or it connected to a paved trail that that went into the woods further and connected to a trail along the road. The trail along the road you could go either left or right and there were people jogging. I'm not sure if the trail into the woods is technically part of the park or not I would assume not but it's nice to know it does connect. This park is very close to the Austin Boulevard and not too far from the Dayton Mall area

It's nice that this connects to Bill Yeck for additional trail fun. Forest Field has a paved path, a gravel path, and some grass trails. They also have indoor bathrooms and water refill during the warmer months. During the winter they bring a port-a-potty in. Very nice place to enjoy some outside time.

So have to grab the moments before it hits. This day was a wind storm right before the bitter cold was back. I walked around and even walked the trails with a friend. So good to be outside. The flowers were lovely but the wind was fierce. This park does such a great job keeping everything lovely which I so appreciate and its a fav of mine for years. So many special memories here. Please be courteous and dont pick the flowers. This isn't your yard and if everyone picked just one there would be none for the next to enjoy. I saw parents promoting their children to pick flowers and filming it. . This is so selfish and rude. Am I wrong?

I was driving by today as I was out running errands and decided to stop by for a brisk walk in the 27 degree weather. It had been dry so didn't have to worry about mud and it had been cool lately so was hoping the bugs weren't a problem. So doused myself in bug repellent and headed out on my own to get some steps in. love walking in nature. I took pics of the trail map and color of the trail i was doing so I didn't get lost ... at least that was my goal. I did the red and then the blue. both trails were harder than I was looking for. The hills were steep and slippery .. plus rock and roots to stumble on. a few areas were so steep I had to find branches to make myself a walking stick. but the blue trail was a hot mess. so over grown and trees down. At one point it just ended .. the trail led to a lot of brush I ended up walking in the woods in areas that didn't look like a trail. alot was so over grown and they obviously aren't clearing this area and no one is going on the blue trail. Then I get to the parking lot and see the same colors I'd been on in the area near the overlook ... which I'd never been to. So is that different trails with the same colors .... I'm not sure. I followed the signs for blue and red and neither took me to this. I def wont return alone. there were several times I slipped and stumbled and it was scary especially alone. I made it out without falling and lived to hike again somewhere else another day. There was a guy in his truck when I started and the same guy was sitting there when I went to my car .. found that creepy and weird. It was 80 plus degrees why just sit there alone ... odd. park staff should clear the blue trail ... it's a hazard

This way I can wheel my pug in her stroller and my mom does fine with the easy paved walking area. It's surrounded by trees in some areas so some birds singing ... and we enjoy walking and chatting. We also walk in Smith park in Middletown but it's a sketchier area and some people have made us feel unsafe there. this is just as close but not at all crowded and feel super safe. I was shocked to read the review about a loss dog attacking another dog. We haven't seen anything there that made us feel unsafe.
