Yesterday I visited again because I really like goldfish, but there were not as many as before. I'm not sure if they were sold out or if they just did not have many in stock. I was a little disappointed because I drove a long distance to come here. The service was very good. One young female staff member took great care of us and spoke very kindly. Even though the weather was very hot, she still helped us for quite a long time with a good attitude. The prices have increased compared to before. A few years ago, I bought fish for around $15-20, but now similar fish cost around $40-45. However, compared to general pet stores, the prices are still much cheaper. One more nice thing is that they also have many kinds of aquatic plants available.

My most recent interaction has been a disaster. After several weeks of trying to set up an appointment, they finally showed up. Peter Masi, the owner, gives me a price for a "perfect" (his word) system. The price is pretty steep but I gave the okay to proceed. Then Masi comes back and wants more money than previously quoted. The money was said to be to repair an obvious defect that Masi saw, or should have seen, before the original quote and included in it. I told him I would honor his original commitment for a "perfect" system but not for additional repairs. He then sends me a bill for what little work had been done - and not done well - and hounds me for payment. When someone gets you in the door of the business by promising you something certain for a price certain and then comes back and demands more to complete what was originally promised that's very wrong. Buyer beware!

I didn't know, the hobby entailed a little more knowledge than I thought I had or read. So that's when I called for help. But, not only did he come to service and maintain it, but he is a very knowledgeable, creative & accommodating person. He knows fish and their habits so well, he may have been a fish before this lifetime! He knows which ones are compatible and how to artistically set up aquariums. I got so into the hobby with his knowledge and experience that I then upgraded from my 5 gallon to a beautiful 34 gallon which is a big step and Rafael & his team helped me all the way! There was also a falsified signature on the pick up paper work. I called Allstone Tiles to tell them about this and the owner refused to even talk to me about the issue! This is a terrible way to treat a customer. We bought the tiles from them, not the warehouse so this is their responsibility. You should think twice before purchasing anything from Allstone Tiles.
