a garage floor

Love this floor! Our old floor was very cracked and deeply pitted. That made it difficult to keep clean. Couldn't be easier now! The install crew was prompt. And got it done very handily and answered my questions thoroughly. Thanks Polytek!

Full view of garage floor half that has rust spots.

UPDATE: I sent this review to Polytek the day it was posted. Received a response from the office saying it would be shared with the manager who was currently away. Still haven't hard back. Like I said they don't care when this problem occurs so they ignore the customer contacts and block them from commenting on FB. Initially we loved our flooring but unfortunately rust spots from rerod which is in cement of course started to leach through the flooring. We now have EIGHT discolored spots that are growing in size (up to 4-5 inches across some). This problem is NOT covered by Polytek. If it happens, the customer either lives with the spots which are unsightly ruining the look of the floor or pays to have the cement drilled out and the Polytek reapplied with no guarantee it takes care of the problem. We were offered a cleaner to use on our own that does not take care of the problem. People walking by the house have excitedly noticed the flooring but when they see the spots, they are turned off. Friends of ours had a similar experience with their flooring. Polytek does NOT want you to know this. Their FB group came up on its own in my newsfeed. When I saw the unknowing comments posted, I shared about our experience. I noticed this evening my comments have been removed AND I've been blocked from making further comments. If you want to see what I'm talking about, contact me and I'll be happy to show you what our floor looks like. In fact I'll add pics to this review. I feel motivated since discovering Polytek's actions on FB.

$250 gift certificate, next to $250 coupon: offers can't be combined... You shouldn't benefit from making a donation.

Expensive Product. Don't like the way they do business. At a recent charity event, I bid on and won a $250 gift card for a Polytek floor... Thinking this would be a good portion of what it would cost to resurface a one car garage. Perhaps most people are more savvy than I am (the picture showed a large garage on the certificate), when I finally got an estimate, the gift card would only cover 10% of the cost of a one-car garage. Yes, $2,500 for a small area. I cannot speak to the actual product, because I do not plan to spend that much money on my garage floor. (I will tell you the sales person who gave me the quote did not remove his shoes when he traipsed through my home). The part I find unethical: offering $250 as a charitable donation when the company offers a coupon of the same amount ... Essentially Polytek is using a charity event to advertise their product. They are willing to give anyone $250 off. I fell for it. I feel pretty dumb. I basically "bought" a coupon!!! Hopefully, this review will help someone to avoid making the same mistake. It would be better to make a direct donation to a charity, at least you would feel good about it ( and you'd get a receipt)!

We went to Junges Flooring in 2019. We wanted a new floor installed. Our salesperson was a nice…read morelady, but a new employee. We told her we wanted a new vinyl floor throughout our townhouse. We emphasized several times in our discussions that it needed to be scratch resistant. The new employee was let go soon after we completed our purchase. It may be because she wasn't trained properly. We chose pergo vinyl flooring that, unfortunately, in a few short weeks showed scratches. We contacted Junges and they said scratches are normal. We explained to them that we were told that our new floor would be a good choice, because it would be scratch resistant. The manager came to look at our floors. Then a Mohawk representative. About two months went by and we noticed several areas where the corners of the floor were raising up. Then Junges sent a representative to inspect our floors. He said it was the wrong flooring for our type of installation. Junges said that we should hire a flooring inspector, which we did. According to the inspector's report, there were unlevel areas on the concrete floor that should have been leveled by the installers with a self-leveling material before the flooring was installed. We shared the report with the owner and his manager and they again refused to do anything to help solve the problem. This was after they had recommended we hire an inspector. When we tried to order Divine Cream flooring to replace much of ours, we found that Mohawk had kept the same color, but had made Divine Cream more scratch resistant and changed the width of each piece. Not once did the owner of Junges or his manager make any indication that they were willing to work something out. Finally I showed my frustration with them and their lack of reasonable customer service. The owner immediately used it as an excuse to do nothing, which he had planned to do anyway . . . absolutely nothing! There were several reasons why Junges should have at least gone partway to resolve the problem, but instead they took no responsibility. The floor will continue to get worse for the reasons I've mentioned previously. We feel like we flushed $10,000 down the toilet.
